In response Trump's legal team offered to pay her directly, rather than her sell the story to the media. She AGREED to the payoff and a term of that agreement was to not publicize the story (something she did anyway after receiving the payoff she agreed to).
Now you've added another component, Trump "threatened" her? Define threatened? Do you mean physically? If so, there is no evidence whatsoever to support that nonsense. Do you mean legally, then yes, he threatened to sue her for violating the terms of the payment. Not sure what you understand about contract law but if you define leveraging the judicial system to enforce contract terms as "threatening" then you're a moron.
