      warren bell The 200 series is pretty cool its one of JD's best lawn tractors to date. Tough old machines! Yes I do have a fair sized collection of random toys and it seems to be growing 😲. Thanks for watching bud!

      Diesel J One thing I know forsure is they don't make things like they used to! This old tractor is solid as a rock! I do have a soft spot for old relics.

      Yes you are right Chris....my 80 year old grand dad still has HIS mom and dads old refrigerator from the 50s never had anything done to it....it amazes me every time I go look at it in his house just flat amazing and still runs like a clock! I guess they don't make things like they use to because the people who made them wouldn't stay in business long lol

    I’ve ha multiple 200 series and they all been manual lift. Well I’m buying a 214 electric lift with tiller just like yours. How does the electric lift do with tiller

      Works every time bud. Good old machine

      Thought I’d make sure because I heard sometimes the electric lift actuator doesn’t like tillers or snowblowers. Would mind seeing more videos of this tractor. I personally love the 200 series. I own a 140 112rf 300 318 and around 5 other cheap tractors

      I have a 214, manual lift, W/tiller, plow, and blower. Need 2 feet to lift the accessories. You say the lift is electric, and not hyd.? Or does an elect. motor run a hyd. pump?

    • @thisandthatwithchris1984
      @thisandthatwithchris1984  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joequillun7790 it's a self contained electrical system. An electric motor moves a long rod similar to a power window motor in a car but much bigger. No Hydraulic involved. The hydraulic system is supposed to be better. However mine has never gave me trouble. yet.......

      Thanx for the reply Chris. I'll have-ta look into it. Good luck with your new acquisition.The 214 is a neat little machine, but keep your eyes open for more ballast.Tire chains,wheel weights, + suitcase weights will help a lot.

    My father-in-law just restored one, where can a person find an original seat?

    I just got a 214 on trade recently, the guy didn't know what he had because it has the hydraulic lift. The hydraulic lifts complete sell for upwards of $500 on eBay.

      @thisandthatwithchris1984  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup they sell for high prices. However around here I have seen lots of tractors sell for under and a grand with hydraulic lift. The same guy I got this one from had a 216 with hydraulic lift for $600.

    Nice, I just picked up one myself, have the tiller too! I’m a little jealous of the electric lift. Check out the videos about mine on my channel!
