Get a new drain valve. They basically are a hand-tightened affair, and the brass nut will break off if you overtighten it. -If that happens and you find yourself in that situation, I use a cotter pin extractor in the hole on the shaft. They’re bent 90°, and fit right in the hole....very handy.
This and That with Chris don't worry the the old Kohler engines are real easy to fix and learn about I'm only 15 and I know these engines pretty good in fact I will be rebuilding my engine that's in my 212 this summer.
I have an old 212 that still runs good. As a matter of fact it does a better job mowing than a lot of new mowers !
Older is better man

I like that Lucas oil stop leak, I use it
Yes you can use full synthetic oil. The seals don’t care about the light oil at start and it’s a true 30 wt at temp, whe it matters.
Sounds like it needs a serious carb clean and adjustment
Maybe if you keep the tractor level you would've got more oil out of it
Very good point! Thanks next time I'll try this
Yeah that tiller's gotta add a little weight to
I’ve got the same 214 my drive belt keeps jumping off
Check all the pulleys
Check the belt for stones, even tiny ones, and cut or tears. It might be stretched out. That would definitely do it.
Any idea what battery these take?
Where did you get your big black garden cart from?
Elric Howard If you are referring to the one behind the Atv that I used for potatoes it was purchased at Costco. Thanks for watching
It was a push cart
Is this the same on a 317?
No different tractor
What about the oil filter ?
Pepsi Cola oil filter?
Pepsi Cola the Kohler k series engines did not have oil filters.
