Lexie: Screw the odds! People die of the hiccups. My mother died of the hiccups. Survival rate for that is what... 100 percent? The odds are that she should be alive right now. The odds are... The odds are crap! So people should face it and they should fight. Maybe not those words. Izzie: No. Exactly those words. Thank you doctor Grey
Connor Kent Actually My grandmother was in the 1 percent tile, not for the hiccups but for surviving a big stroke that left her almost completely paralyzed and living up to five years. So it’s possible
It's kinda crazy looking back at this (it was made in 2009) keeping in mind that Izzy had stage 4 melanoma with something like a 5% chance of survival. I've know a couple of people who have/have had stage 4 melanoma (one had it in the brain), and both have significantly better prognosis's with the standard of treatments available nowadays. Possibly it's more for dramatic purposes in Izzy's case, and yes, it's still a highly aggressive cancer at a later stage, but still...
@naomi obi Because it was a family member, well Susan still treated Meredith like a daughter. You don't perform surgery on family member because your emotions can override your judgment
Actually she didn't really die because of the hiccups. She died because there were complications of the surgery that was done to stop the continuous hiccuping...
Omg. I’ve seen greys a lot and I’m just realizing that’s the sister. She looks so different and her character is completely different than the one she plays in supergirl.
yes George pointed out her real name because he was the chief Webber's intern at one point and realized her real name was Alexandria. Alex was Alexander and Lexie was Alexandria
It's so beautiful to see that Izzie had a moment of hope thanks to Lexie
The fact that those words lexie said to izzie saved her

I hated thatcher after lexie's and men's mom/step mom died cuse he blamed it all on mer and hit her and banned her from the funeral
*mer's
Mer shouldn’t have assisted on Susan’s surgery
@@emeraldnighthawk4733 why not?

Roses88 yeah but there was a 99% chance those complications wouldn’t happens and they did, that’s what she meant
Alex from supergirl is in this and I didn’t even know lol
Shay yeah her name is Lexi and she’s Mers sister
Right I didn’t know either !! She was one of the reasons I watch greys anatomy
And Supergirl Her name is Alexandra in greys anatomy and in supergirl she studied medicine in greys amatomy too!!
Omg. I’ve seen greys a lot and I’m just realizing that’s the sister. She looks so different and her character is completely different than the one she plays in supergirl.
omg how am i just now realising this lmao
And Izzie is still alive but not Lexie 😭
I miss you guys😭
Why is Lexie gray"s name always have roots to Alexandria? In Supergirl she is supergirl's sister and her name is Alex on that show too.
Madeline Eustance that's funny, but what is even more funnier Heigl in greys anatomy is called Isobel Stevens, and in Rosewell Isobel Evans
Madeline Eustance not to mention I’m super girl Alex was a doctor who worked in Seattle but then came to work for the DEO!
