Iconic feminist moments of greys anatomy (emo edition) I know it needs more Bailey and Cristina, but there's so much iconic content to put in. I might make a part 2 idk

I just watched this whole video and thought the title was greys anatomy’s funniest moment not feminist moments…… the last clip made me realize it…. I absolutely love these moments on greys… they tell such a story and strength!
The scene with arizona and the patient is really sweet. Not exactly a feminist moment but I love the care & support shown for her patients. Arizona is a sweetheart
This is an amazingly powerful compilation of some very emotional, powerful and difficult moments, Beautifully Done, I don’t know how I haven’t seen this until today, but it’s fantastic ❤.
“I didn’t ask for your forgiveness” and “killing my mother is not another thing that’s going to happen to me” have stuck with me for literal decades now. Meredith will always mean a lot to me because of these moments of her asserting herself and finding worth in her own future
As a whole, I loved Meredith and Derek’s relationship, but there are a few scenes where I hate one of them and that one, I hate Derek SO bad for talking down to Meredith like she was the one who lied and wasn’t completely in love with him.
11:47 The good outweighed the bad…until it didn’t. Think about how manipulative you have to be to mask yourself until you have slowly ground away at the person who loves you, then you become yourself. A giant piece of sh7t who loves nothing.

These are all amazing scenes and everything I love about this show. Every one of these actresses DELIVERED. Izzy's speech about her modelling career and every moment Meredith stood up to her mother are the best. And the last scene brought me to tears.
Hear me out but whenever Thachter came in they got Lexie to deal with him because of his relationship with Mer,but if you look Lexie is trying to keep him together and make it postitive and try and help him because no one else does. And I believe her death would habe hurt him deeply. *Just my opinion*
i love how as someone who belives in god and jesus literally can beat the conservative and homofobes just quoting what jesus said, bc they afirm their belives on the old testament mostly, but the new and specifically Jesus is a mensage of love, you can't pray the gay away bc is nothing bad being a part of the LGTBQ+ comunity, i love torres for that
It’s in the New Testament as well. If god was cool with it why wouldn’t he change our bodies to only be able to make children with the same sex. Why would he say marriage is between a husband and wife.
@@Nnnnnnnn426 Jeebus never mentioned anything about gay people one way or the other. That one line that people interpret to be 'God' hating on gays is from the old testament, and 'God's' opinion only. And using it on a gay female is especially hysterical... because the line is 'man should not lie with man as he lies with woman'... but a gay woman doesn't lie with any men at all! So how could that possibly be a sin even if you do interpret that line in that manner? :p

Derek is/was the most horrible main character grey’s ever had. Trick a young woman into loving him even though he was married chose his wife over the girl and yet wouldn’t let her move on and whenever she did he conveniently love her again. She decided not to jump right in because he broke her heart and he gaslight her into believing she have commitment issues when he just was smitten with someone else and when new girl finally slept with him he got bored and spun the block. Don’t get me started on cheating on his wives especially mer because she wouldn’t put her carrier on hold for him.
Basically they were sl*t shaming her - or trying to. She wasn't just a model; she was a nude model. Which is a type of s*x work, which is shameful (or so they said - not my opinion, just trying to explain what the men were getting at in the scene). But as she said, she got through medical school debt free because of the money she earned, so she has nothing to be ashamed of... where as they will have to work hard for at least 10 years to pay off all the loans. Talk about taking back your power from men! You can't shame me because I have something you deeply desire - no student loans from university! :p
@@tinymxnticore Like I said, I don't believe in shaming women for that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a FAN of nude modelling, either, but that's just me - I would never shame other adult women for their own choices they made as adults. But there are lots of people who do shame women for that. They ogle attractive women in photos and movies, then shame them for BEING attractive in the first place! It's quite ridiculous, really, but that's just how some people are. They blame the WOMAN because they admire her body and that makes them feel shame in themselves.
@@tinymxnticoreDoesn’t make sense does it? Especially when the men wanting to sl*t shame are the very ones that pay for the content. Sex work is one of the oldest trades in the book aside from carpentry; so old it’s literally Biblical. Countless men keeping that type buisness lucrative but want to act like they don’t have a choice to give in or not.
The AUDACITY Derek had to call Meredith a whole when HE chose Addison. HE made that decision, and Mer's right, he doesn't control how she chooses to deal with that.
bro ngl, even in season 8 I still hate Alex. He is definitely not a good person in the show. He is exceptional at what he does but it still doesn't make him a good person. Whew :0

@@rayjones4457 I'm on season 8, ep 18. I really didn't like him when he just blurted out that Meredith did something with Derek's clinical trial. I get what Meredith did was not right but Alex is always getting help from his friends, but never helps his friends. Dude he got Meredith FIRED. Add the fact that Meredith couldn't get Zola either cause the adoption center lady saw that Meredith got fired and took Zola away. I was so mad. @@akaishathottam9561 There are 19 seasons, you aren’t even halfway through, he changes but he is still Alex and has a reason for doing the things that he does.
I say this having only ever watched clips of Grey's Anatomy throughout the years, but after seeing the very first scene where Alex tries to shame Izzy, I have NEVER liked him. I understand he probably had some character growth throughout the seasons and he probably is way better now, but this scene put such a bad taste in my mouth. Same thing when Derek tries to imply Meredith is a whore. I don't like them after seeing these scenes.
@@greatthingshappen8310 I never said he wasn't a good doctor. What I was trying to say in my first comment was basically I wouldn't want to be friends with him. If I saw him in public I wouldn't curse him out (the character), but I would never be able to forget that he did that. Again, he probably got better as a person, I'm not doubting that. But I would be like, "no thank you, I'm good".
@@Alex-rs1we So what you're saying is that his first impression for you was so bad that he can't make up for it? OK. I understand that. I just hope that you don't feel that way in real life. No one is perfect and plenty of people who started out as jerks genuinely change, grow, and become good people. I certainly wouldn't want to be forever judged by one impression without the chance to change someone's mind about me. 🤔
@@misspriss2482 Lol... did you literally drop on to the planet the day before you wrote that comment? Right or wrong, first impressions DO count for a lot in the real world, too. If you treat someone like absolute trash the first time you meet them, they will have no obligation or even desire to 'give you a second chance to change their minds about you.' You'd be stuck with that reputation 99.99% of the time! You MIGHT get a pass and a chance at redemption in very special circumstances... like if you yelled at a doctor because your child was bleeding to death and you were in a panic. You know, like characters with injured children always squawk and cuss and carry on at doctors because it's good for the drama of the medical shows, lol. So you don't have to be perfect to be a decent human who is worth knowing... but you DO have to speak to people nicely and not sl*t shame them (as Alex did to Izzie) to deserve for anyone to even want to go anywhere near you after the first time they meet you. That's the real world. :p
I also hated Alex at first, but he did change a lot throughout the seasons. When Meredith said "he's the worst person when I met him, but now he's the best", I felt that. Derek on the other hand was an absolute @sshole from beginning to end. To everyone-his wives, girlfriends, friends, sisters. He's the WORST character in the entire series.

It's messy but they were the couple I shipped the hardest, even when i hated one or the other of them ( at any given time), I always felt they were end game.
The hallway of support is a beautiful scene ❤❤❤❤
I recently learned that the actress who played the patient requested to rehearse without anyone lining up in the hall so that when they filmed it, she'd see them for the first time and they'd capture her genuine reaction, which was beautiful.
@@TheCrankymuppet was not aware of that. 👍🏼🥰👍🏼🥰
I literally cry every time I see it
Women standing up
@TheCrankymuppet yes. And there are a lot of women lined up that are usually working on set (behind the camera) Everyone wanted to be on that scene
😂😂😂you got me over here quoting/ acting out each scene with the clips😂😂
The Izzy scene/Merdith scene and Callie scene hold special places in my heart!
A part 2 is definitely needed! Christina has some of the BEST scenes!
This video reminded me how beautiful old greys is 🥺😭
I love this, women in their strenght at the hardest and meanest of times.
I just watched this whole video and thought the title was greys anatomy’s funniest moment not feminist moments…… the last clip made me realize it…. I absolutely love these moments on greys… they tell such a story and strength!
4:40 this scene almost made me quit watching, I'm so glad Lexie stood up for herself
i *HATE* alex in the first few seasons. Love Izzie. the transformation BOTH of them had-
i HATE Alex in the
I can't that last one always makes me cry
The hallway walk… destroys me every time I watch it
The women lining up for the sa victim will always bring tears to my eyes
"Just remember that while your sitting on 200grand of student loans,I'm out of dept." AND THATS ON WHATTTTT❤
I cry every time I see the last scene. It's so overwhelming!!
12:16 Nothing feels more safe than true sisterhood.
I love Bailey at 8:00
That last scene was so beautifully done by the writers 💜💜❤️
“I didn’t ask for your forgiveness” and “killing my mother is not another thing that’s going to happen to me” have stuck with me for literal decades now. Meredith will always mean a lot to me because of these moments of her asserting herself and finding worth in her own future
I remember watching the scene with the women in the hallway when it aired and just sobbing. Such a powerful moment.
So I’ve been watching this for 5 minutes thinking it said ‘ funniest moments’
You don't get to call me a whore. Best speech ever😮
1:59 the way he looks at her i can't and the small head tilt .
That scene with the patient that’s been raped and the hallway of women ALWAYS makes me tear up!! 😢😭😍😍😍😍
9:18 😊😢 I miss christina
“He is very dreamy, but he is not the sun, you are”-Christina Yang best line of all time
Edit: pls like this comment I have never gotten a like on a comment 😊😅
I've never seen this show, but the last scene always makes me sob like a baby
“Do you need a shoulder to cry on, I have two” ❤️
That hallway scene is enough to make anyone cry😢
i was so confused, because i can’t read for my life, but i read “funniest” instead of “feminist” and i was so confused about the humour.
8:50 that face change from anger to concern… masterful
The Izzy moment where she’s like enjoy your 200k in student debt while my literal ass paid my tuition in full is actually great.
The wall of women gives me chills and makes me so proud to be a woman. We can do anything together. 😭
That opening scene with Alex made me so angry. God he was awful at first.
He was an ass but the way Izzy handled the situation was fantastic. They're doctors they should not be so bothered by the human body
He was still alive when Lexie died.
Jesus meredith has gone through sm for the majority of her life 4:06 😢
Omg the MeToo episode still makes me ball my eyes out so many years later
6:47 this whole scene...KILLED ME 😢😢😢
i love how as someone who belives in god and jesus literally can beat the conservative and homofobes just quoting what jesus said, bc they afirm their belives on the old testament mostly, but the new and specifically Jesus is a mensage of love, you can't pray the gay away bc is nothing bad being a part of the LGTBQ+ comunity, i love torres for that
It’s in the New Testament as well.
@@Nnnnnnnn426 and Bible coul be guide for god but is writen for humans, 2000 of years where human intervented and traduced in many lenguages, and the most meaningfull book is completly literal in they words? , we have to think about the meaning, interpretate , ww have to think about the age, about the traductions, if we take everything literal we were all catholic ortodox or something like that

Don’t get me started on cheating on his wives especially mer because she wouldn’t put her carrier on hold for him.
you can be positive tomorrow..!!
8:21 W for Arizona 🎉🎉
While you are sitting on 200k of student loans....I am out of debt
Thats a queen line
this compilation is in need of more bailey!
he's not the sun you are 💕 ☉
I’m still confused after all these years. How was Izzie being a model supposed to embarrass her?
Basically they were sl*t shaming her - or trying to. She wasn't just a model; she was a nude model. Which is a type of s*x work, which is shameful (or so they said - not my opinion, just trying to explain what the men were getting at in the scene).
But as she said, she got through medical school debt free because of the money she earned, so she has nothing to be ashamed of... where as they will have to work hard for at least 10 years to pay off all the loans. Talk about taking back your power from men! You can't shame me because I have something you deeply desire - no student loans from university! :p
@@dmf1301 ohhhhh…I will never understand that mindset, but thanks for explaining
Pin up, glamor, lingerie, et cetera
Only scene I was missing was Christina's about Burke when he won the Harper Avery
The AUDACITY Derek had to call Meredith a whole when HE chose Addison. HE made that decision, and Mer's right, he doesn't control how she chooses to deal with that.
I feel everyone needs a friend like Christina!
You two this isn't a zoo , You should be ashamed of yourself and what are you looking at knocked me out😂😂😂😂
bro ngl, even in season 8 I still hate Alex. He is definitely not a good person in the show. He is exceptional at what he does but it still doesn't make him a good person. Whew :0
WHAAAA? How many seasons did you watch? Cause he gets better, Joe was toxic for him but without her he was the best and the Mer and Alex duo really went hard in the last season he was in the show!
Also he just acts like a bitch which is not very attractive.
Well continue watching your opinion might change
@@aparnasalini Yes yes definitely! 🙌
@@akaishathottam9561 There are 19 seasons, you aren’t even halfway through, he changes but he is still Alex and has a reason for doing the things that he does.
I love these feminist moments. I don’t like calliopes one her dad is suppose to love her
That was beautiful, I'm crying seeing all those woman
I say this having only ever watched clips of Grey's Anatomy throughout the years, but after seeing the very first scene where Alex tries to shame Izzy, I have NEVER liked him. I understand he probably had some character growth throughout the seasons and he probably is way better now, but this scene put such a bad taste in my mouth. Same thing when Derek tries to imply Meredith is a whore. I don't like them after seeing these scenes.
You say this because you only saw clips, Karev turns out to be one of the most amazing doctors ever.
Loved Robbins scene. Best mother figure ever😊
