- First off, yes electric is faster. We know this. This is 1/5 scale GAS CLASS. We have other classes, so check on my page....

Great to see people using gas instead of electric it may be slower but it's so much more fun and I like having to work on my car instead of just popping in batteries
To each their own, I like both but there's plenty of wrenching to be done be it nitro or electric.
Thanks for keeping this stuff on the track where it belongs instead of endangering lives on the roads.

My electric mini 8 1/14 scale would probably beat all these gassers. That's not the point though this is a limited class race.

Now what I want to do, is make the ULTIMATE RC truck/car. Nitro, and fully controlable. There would be a switch for the headlights, and even blinkers. Taillights would be on constantly, but get brighter when braking, like a real car. White back up lights when backing up. And the ultimate customization would be a fully working manual transmission. And I don't mean like the full deal, with 6 or 8 and whatnot gears, probably only 2, 3, or 4, max. It is a long stretch, but it's nice to dream. That would be the most badass RX ever. No horn though. I don't know if there would be one that small that would fit in there among all the other stuff.

The 5th scale nitro buggy guys at the track would get so mad when my brushless electric Ofna 10SC beat them. Then after only 1-2 races I relized they can run nitro all day while I wait for batteries to recharge.
Same issue with those overpriced overhyped Teslas. Lol
Exactly. Until batteries get 10 times more energy dense, and can be recharged at like 100C, AND last thousands of cycles, AAAAND not cost more than the rest of the vehicle combined, Nitro/Gas is far more fun for all day bashing or racing, unless you have 40-50 packs charged ahead of time, or 10+ packs and at least 3 quad chargers.
Lol but noise complaints and the maintenance
It takes 25 min to charge two of my batteries.. it takes an hour to discharge my batteries... by the time I disagree one set I can charge 3 sets.... only thing nitro has is the smell and sound of the engine.
