Nah, not too small. it's 1950s style, retro. It wouldn't look out of place in an episode of Mad Men. Classic. If the lug to lug gets too large it ends up looking like one is a child trying to wear one's dad's watch. Ends up looking ridiculous. A smaller lug to lug would serve many people well. (For full disclosure I'm a 7.5" wrist and no longer wear 40mm dress watches for this very same "dinnerplate" reason)

The trend of having huge watches on small wrists is a fad and really needs to subside. I want this hobby to go back to the old days, when men don’t feel uncomfortable with 39mm and smaller watches.
I have a 6.25 inch wrist. I’d wear this tiny Seiko for the same reason I’d wear the 42mm Omega SMP 300-I like the watch and don’t give a pickle if it doesn’t “fit” my wrist
Too small? No, it looks like the perfect size for your wrist. The strap does look a little dainty for you, but that’s how men wore tanks back in the day. Go for the larger SWR049 if this one bothers you.
Check the Longines dolce vita out. Three different sizes ... the midsize is 27 x 43 ish. You have options for bold Arabic, blued hands , alligator calf straps, ETA automatic or quartz. You can pick these up for 1200 to 1600 US. My automatic clocks out at +6 to -6 over 6 positions. They have an elegant but smooth crown which requires a latex glove for normal winding so you may prefer the quartz. Good luck.
Moat of my Vintage Seiko bulova and rotary tanks average 25X26 my Seiko solar tank 28x37 and I have some smaller love them all it looks good on you very classy im no watch expert but a collector still
I think that this may be the women's model. Still, it's perfectly acceptable for a man to wear because I remember seeing a photo of JFK wearing a tank watch on the small side much like this one. I have the same watch as in this video, only mine is the men's model.
You got the "Ladies" watch; it is small. The actual men's version is bigger than the Cartier tank large size.The seiko tank watch for men is more like the size of the Cartier tank XL size (the one that comes with the seconds hand)
If I’m not mistaken the Cartier is also very small right ? I love this watch but I wish they had size in between the men’s essential and this female version. Both are still really nice & id say if you like it then be happy and enjoy ! I know bulova has a nice tank as well that inside a bit better imo cheers !

When you measured the lugs at the minute 2.20 in your video , I think you forgot to add 10 mm, therefore it is not 13.9 but 23.9 mm, am I right ? Try with a measuring tape.

I think it looks to be correct size for you. Just have to match it with suitable clothes.

Yeah, I ended up getting a Carrier Tank Must Large and the size is perfect. Seiko's are either ust too big or too small for me.
