      Already had this one for over a month. Done two project videos with it. But decided to make this video so people can see what this laser is about . It's fairly new in the market.
      I do see a big opportunity in those lasers that hopefully I the near future will help me in running my business. However not all of them are here to stay. Most will go back to the manufacturer or another TH-camr👍

    A very capable unit. Thank you for the video Tomasz. I looked at the price of picking one up in Australia and they are expensive. I’ll have to wait until I have a few serious projects to be able to justify the purchase to my financial controller hehe. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching. Yes this one is bit more expensive but that's mainly due to the 22W module. 10W and 5W modules are much cheaper but less capable. It all depends on what projects you want to tackle. However what I found I usually outgrow my cheaper and less capable tools and in the end I waste more money as I buy a second more expensive version that is more capable. But that's just me 😅

      It's very good, super simple to setup and use. And 22W module is more than enough for most projects. However I'm waiting for a new release from a certain brand with 30W and 40W modules, can't wait to test those out 😁

    Yet another brilliant review Tomasz , out of the machines you have reviewed so far which one is becoming a firm favourite? Maybe a head to head review at some point.
    Keep well my friend and keep up the good work 👍👍

      I think I will do a big comparison in the future. Hmm difficult to point my favourite 🤔 I like the Atezr P10 but I wished it came with stronger module. The Longer Ray 5 with 20W module is nice but because of the size of the module you get a smaller work area. Now so far this Falcon 2 seems to tick all the boxes, although it doesn't have wireless app control option. So it all depends what's specs and features you need. I'm waiting for a new machine with 30W and 40W modules and I think they will become my favourite ones 🤣

    I purchased a Falcon2 in the UK, last week, and it comes without the honeycomb table, just steel (?) sheet about 1/4 size of the frame. So check the details of the offer before buying. A large honeycomb table and plate is about 50 GBP, extra.

    Hi, I have 3mm white and transparent PMMA XT and 15 passes are needed to cut white PMMA. When I see your video, it seems that on pass is sufficient. I'm using Lightburn. Any suggestion? Regards

      Diode laser won't cut transparent material, and it will struggle with bright colours. It will perform best on black material.

    Hi, I'm new to laser engravers and I'm between this and the sculpfun s30 pro, someone who has tried both and can give me an idea to lean towards one or the other.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not used the Sculpfun, but it seems it has an old style frame. This Falcon 2 is a new model and everything is hidden away in the frame, plenty of power with the 22W module as well. If the modules perform in a similar way then I would go for the Falcon 2 ( the frame and safety features on the modules make all the difference)

  • @gangleweed
    @gangleweed ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice machine and quite capable of doing anything you can dream of......pity it is already a complete set-up as it 's not capable to be expanded to cover a larger area like the Skulpfun S30 pro model does.......the laser is what gives it the cutting force and there are 40 watt lasers doing the same thing.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      The market is quite saturated. I will be testing some new 30w and 40w models. I wonder if they will get similar capabilities as the CO lasers. I think the Longer has an extension to their lasers

    what 20-30w diode laser do you recommend today? thanks

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Any of the one I tested to be honest. They are all good, had no issues with any of them. One thing I would suggest is that you choose the one with those "extra" features each machine has that makes them unique from each other. Choose the features you want and then the price if that plays any role in the deciding factor. Think for what jobs you will be mainly using the laser and what features would help you of getting that task done better, quicker, easier etc.

      @@CasualDIY mostly i would be cutting templates for my woodworking projects and engraving cutting boards, coasters and making small ornaments for christmas, easter ... the big problem is that i'm too poor to choose wrong for my first engraver :)

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mihgio3235 well one thing to remember 30W will cut thicker materials and will cut faster thinner materials. Have a look at my videos with the lasers that have the power you are looking for and you won't go wrong with any of them. So just check which one is the cheapest or has the best offer

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I used my own, a bigger one. But as an extra you can get a smaller one like I had in the box with the laser. Although I would recommend getting a full size of at least 400mm x 400mm anything smaller is pointless, looking at it from perspective and time spent working with lasers.

    Unusually bad sound on most of this video. It sounds like you are talking into a pillow! It's all dull and distorted, but also too soft so my volume needs to be maxed out.
    Some parts of the edit are better than others, but the worst parts are almost impossible to understand. What's happened?
    EDIT: seems I have a problem with one speaker in my laptop. Comments farther below clarify how I came to that conclusion....

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure. I just had a listen on my phone and it sounds ok for me🤔 one part was recorded with my wireless workshop microphone and the other with a podcast microphone connected to my laptop. Is the audio bad over the whole length of the video for you?

    • @johncoops6897
      @johncoops6897 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CasualDIY - It's quite muffled overall (maybe the sound deadening panels?) however the really poor sound quality seems to cut in and out between editing cuts, perhaps depending on which mic you use?
      I checked a few other videos of yours and it's similar in those too. But I don't remember it being like this in your older videos.
      It sounds reasonably OK on a phone, but on my Mac laptop it's really poor compared to other channels. It's kind of distorted in the recording, and the levels are really low... remember I'm compared to other channels.
      I think what's needed is to do some sound equalization (boost midrange and treble) and volume normalization during editing, and make sure you have the gain up high enough in the final mix. You are best do some comparisons between this video and some from other creators, because I cannot really describe it well in typed words. Watch "Mr Carlsons Lab" for an example of outstanding voice overs.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johncoops6897 Yes I'll have a look into this for sure. I always put the videos together with my headphones on (decent ones) and maybe that's an issue as well. It may sound good for me due to the headphones. I think I just need to invest in some normal computer speakers as well.
      I know that my cheap wireless microphone that I use does cause some static noise. I just can't afford a decent one like the Rode that would work better.
