    You have the same feelings as everyone else but better strategies for being well.

    Hey Genevieve! I totally relate to that very deep loneliness when all your close friends are far away. It’s a very hard thing to go through. And I also went through that stage of trying to get into a relationship just to fill in that void. The way I got out of that unhealthy way of trying to cope with loneliness was by trying new activities. Going out, joining classes and clubs with likeminded people, going to concerts alone, and traveling! Solo traveling, even if it’s just an hour away from where you live, really makes you connect with people. It honestly changed my life. I really admire how good you are at analyzing yourself, and spending time with yourself, and I think it’s so good to be able to do that, but I do think creating connections with others is a very big part of feeling good with yourself. It’s sooo important to go out and meet new people. Anyway, I wish you all the best! ❤

      thank you! I glad you found a way to shake the loneliness. you're completely right, I definitely want to work on getting out of my comfort zone more. I've been doing some planning and hopefully this summer will help with that too.

    Have you ever done aerial classes? I have a friend in Victoria who takes aerial classes and performs at events sometimes. The "circus" community there seems really wild and cool, I wonder if your contortion practice could become a way you connect with a fun community there?

      there are some circus studios closer to me, but honestly it gets really expensive. that’s partially why I stopped taking contortion classes. it probably would be great though, just not feasible for me right now.

    When you did an "easy version" of your stretching routine, how'd you get yourself warmed up?😊

    • @GenevieveMason
      @GenevieveMason  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      honestly for this sort of thing I don't warm up.. the easier stretches sort of act like the warmup.

      @GenevieveMason I've got a lot of respect for you and your body's ability! For me, it's like I warm up, warm up a bit more, and then my body is ready to stretch 😂

      @@ShaynaCarey-n3d everyone’s different! I’ve been doing this sort of thing since I was 5 and I’m also 21. I’ll likely need a lot more warmup time as I get older.
