    I think furls odyssey’s are weighted. I have them and love them.

    Enjoyed the visit. Thank you for the honest reviews and showing us as you used them. I gave some Susan Bates and clovers. Tried the furls but the shape isn't right for me. Haven't tried the tulip but now I want to. I'll be watching for your notifications. 🙂 Your turtles are adorable!

    The Clover hooks are the ones I use most and yes they used to hurt and what I did I cut the middle out and only have bottom half and top putting some glue to the rubber part wouldn't move up down or around.Either set i'd like to go for so whichever you'd like to give out would be fine. Thank you

    Hi, good to see your review video. I like ergonomic hooks when making a large project. This is usually for a crochet blanket that is going to take a while. I haven't tried the furl style hooks and would be interested to see what they're like.

    My fav hooks are clovers but recently I started trying furls and I so wanted to hate them but I tend to grab them lately and that actually surprises me because I not one to gravitate towards to ‘ in style’ 😂one that is pretty in looks but I am very curious about the dots hooks a lot of podcasters use them now they say their similar to clovers
    I still say it’s up to an individual everyone has their own style their own ways of handling a hook but it’s always great to get opinions from others ❤😊

    Thank you for sharing how each works for you. I finally finished my giant blanket I’ve been working on for months yesterday, well I still have some ends to weave in so almost done.

    I am so glad that you are better! Being sick is not fun at all.
    I like the longer hooks because the shorter ones rub my hand the wrong way. I love the clovers so much but i cannot use them because of the handles. The flat part for the thumb grip hurts my fingers because i twist them in my fingers. Girl I'm just a hot mess lol!

    I have a set of Tulips, they are wonderful for smoothness and for how lightweight they are. I don't like long handles or long necks on my hook, either, because my hands are not very big. I do not think that the Beachwood hooks are like Furls, though. I get sore hands quite easily, so I have been collecting the Furls Streamline Acrylics and they work well for me because of both the fat handle and the lighter weight. The wooden Furls are not as smooth and the metal ones are too heavy.

      @creatinga_happierme  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s great to know about Furls. I will need to check them out. Do you have resin or metal hooks?

    • @rachel.king789
      @rachel.king789 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@creatinga_happierme I usae the Resin hooks.

      I want to try resin again. I tried one and didn’t really like it, but I think it was the type.

    Hey Dianna….so good to see you again….been missing you!!
    I actually went to your channel page yesterday morning to see if you had put any new videos out bc I thought I wasn’t getting the notifications. 😂 So sorry you have been so sick….glad you are much better now. 🙌😊
    Susan Bates is my all time favorite hooks….no yarn splits, just smooth crocheting to me. I have both styles (with & without) the hand grip handle.
    I do have a few Furls hooks but I don’t use them often. If you are wanting a Furls Odyssey hook which is always out of stock…..put your name & email on their notification list and they will email you when they become available.
    That’s how I finally got my 2 Odyssey hooks. I also have 3 of their StreamLine hooks.
    Thanks for the review of hooks. I’ve never tried Clover, Tulip or the dot hooks you have.
    The Ninja’s are just so adorable!!
    Thank you for the giveaway opportunity hon. Hope you have a great & blessed week. 😊🧶🦋

      Susan Bates was always my go to, my hands just didn’t like it.
      I’m so glad there’s so many choices!
      Thank you for being here ❤

    It was very interesting watching your hands adjust to the different styles of hooks. i have and like the red Tulips. I like the length of the handle, the thumb rest, the shorter neck length an the Boye type head. I also have and like the flat Clovers. Again the shorter handle length, the thumb rest and the length of the neck. It also has the Boye type throat. I cannot use what I call the 'Colgate Toothpaste' handled hooks, they are too long an unwieldy. I cannot use the Furls because there is no thumb rest and I have to curl my wrist to get the head in and out of each stitch. I am 76 and have my mother's steel and aluminum hooks. Using them, I discovered that I prefer the Boye throat over the Susan Bates throat and head. My opinion! I made your snail for Dimitra, 'The Naked Snail' and made a second shell which i left open 2/3 of the way around, and made a hat to match (with a flower) and sent then to her in Canada. Now she will not have to go naked this winter!😂

    • @creatinga_happierme
      @creatinga_happierme  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with the steel, Boye are the brand I have the most of. I wonder if that’s the issue I have with the Furl type. I really had a hard time!
      I Love the idea of a naked snail and shell. And a hat?? Adorable. I’m so glad you made it and you’re here ❤

    There is nothing wrong with you. My favorite crochet hooks are also Clover. I'm not even going to bother buying Furla especially when people are getting PR for taking sboit how great they are. I also think most of the hooks you reviewed today are too long or funky compared to the Clover. Great reviews.

    Those are so cute. I love these. i'll have to try them at some point for my nephew. I'm only new to the Crochet YT community. I'm trying to find my people. The ninja turtles tell me that you might be one of them. 🧶💗🧶
