Hi, what class of memory card is recommended to use in C400 camera? UHS-I or UHS-II ?? and what should be internet speed for smooth uploading of video on cloud?
I've been using Speed Class 10, UHS-1 microSD card. Xiaomi has not indicated the required internet speed but my experience has been over 300Mbps - over 500Mbps.

The CW400 is an outdoor camera with almost same camera specs of indoor camera C400.
It already has a camera alarm since it's for outdoor.
The CW400 is a Chinese version. Most probably Xiaomi will come out with a global version soon.

This is a Global version. I am not aware of a Chinese version of C400. Although, most often as i explained in this video-- th-cam.com/video/JXulupXP44o/w-d-xo.html
Xiaomi first test its product in China before making it global.
Most often, there's not much difference between the two versions except the language and the Chinese version uses Xiao AI for voice assistant while the Global version uses Google and Alexa.

so if I don't buy the cloud storage from Xiaomi, I cannot use the SD to store the playback recordings? even if I have the SD card it's still asking for subscription?
example: if don't have cloud subscription, and have a SD card in the camera, and there is motion detection. Will it not just record the motion video detection video on SD card directly?
The video recording is 24/7 on the SDcard (depending on your setting) with or without the cloud subscription. What you miss when you're not subscribing Xiaomi cloud is the surveillance detected short video clips that are also sent as notification. Anyway, all videos are recorded. The C400 has improved human tracking. Hence, it only tracks human most of the time. The older Mi 2K Pro tracks also pet as if it's human. It depends on your requirements.

I currently have a Swann system but the wifi signal from the cameras is terrible and at best it’s intermittent.
Plus the picture quality is nowhere near as good.
Was considering 2 either 2k pro or 2 C400 inside and replacing my current external camera currently Swann to the CW400. I have been looking at purchasing off Ali Express as here in Australia they are more expensive. What do you think ?
I have a 2k pro 360 and i'm facing an issue apparently happens on some other devices too. When I filter push notifications only for "human detection" using 3 min interval (the minimun), if movement is detected for the next 3 minutes (or whatever amount u set) they are in a way ignoring everything. So if a bug flyes in front of it, it shall mark a movement detected in the app, not push notification sent, and I come in a room after it will ignore person detected.
Does this happen with the new cameras or the outdoors ones too? Could you try it? It's pointless to have a camera that only sends push notification if u cannot filter them properly.
I'm using the global version, setting Argentina as country btw.
Detections and push notifications for Xiaomi and even other brands are not consistent. So, expect things to happen like that.
Is this model too affected by xiaomi cloud subscription system? I was going to buy c500 pro newer model is that affected too? And as I understand I cannot use features on sd card too right?

@@HiTechTaBai Thank you. There's no logical reason to buy it then. We cannot even use a simple feature. I want to buy a good camera for home. I would prefer the C500 pro for its 5mp camera and 3k resolution. What do you think is the best camera of this type that I can buy? I'm looking at Anker eufy but its features are lower.
@@nicoasmr2103 If you watch my other video--the one i provided the link-- i explained there that the 'Detection Video Clips' on the cloud that is for subscription only provides for your reference where to locate the video. Meaning, you can still see the whole video on the SDcard recording. So, you can still use these videos even without cloud subscription. The app will still notify you about detection but you can't play the short detected videos clips if you don't subscribe.
How fast is the light turning on after human detection when using the Chinese server? Is there a delay? If, so how long is the delay?
As shown in the video... just a matter of few seconds after it detects human. I'm connected to PH/SG server not with China.

does the playback need subscribtion or it depends on the sd card and after its full it will auto delete the last things captured oir what will happen thanks
If the recording is set to loop, the oldest files will be deleted to accommodate the newest recordings.
Playback doesn't need subscription since you can just play the videos from the SD card.
What is for subscription is the 9-second detection alert videos for this camera since it's no longer free for newer models.

All models have the detection videos of about 9-seconds. These can be played on the app free for the first 3 months. After that, you need to subscribe to Xiaomi's cloud service.

i have c400 model and when i try to speak by the camera speaker it makes creaking full volume sound is there way to calibrate or is it broken ?
There's no volume adjustment for the camera speaker. However, the broken sound maybe caused by the one who spoke near to the camera. Although, its sound is not really good.

The latest from Xiaomi is the outdoor camera CW400 which is a Chinese version. It has new features. However, this can not be connected to PH or Singapore server.

Hi, I bought this C400 camera from Hong Kong. I tried to use it in Brunei. But there is a problem during set up. I think it is due to the WiFi settings. Are there any WFi setting requirements for this? Thanks.
Nope. Check if what you bought is a global version. If it is, then you can pair with Mi Home app anywhere.
If it happened what you bought is a Chinese version, then you can only set it up on Mi Home app connected to the mainland Chinese server.

Xiaomi cloud storage only
Previous models does support NAS recording but this one does not for some reason. Waste of money
it dosen't have adapter unlike the C300
Does C400 have NAS network storage?
It has no access to NAS. Only Cloud and MicroSD card storage.

As i've said i need 2K Pro more than C400 because i'm also monitoring pets at home. Although, human detections on C400 has improved because it could no longer detect pets as human. It depends where you're going to use the cam.

@markmacapulay6237 Sa mga Xiaomi cameras, and perhaps sa lahat ng brands, you can only pair the camera on one phone AT A TIME. Pero, you can share the camera to others who login to their own Xiaomi account. Allowed ang sharing. If you're abroad, and you are the owner, you can still view the camera using your account. Yong natira sa Pinas can still view the camera on their phones if you shared to them the device.

@@markmacapulay6237 Since andito sa Pinas ang camera, dito na rin ang installation and pairing with the Mi Home app. Pagkatapos, yong owner na nasa labas, ay mag-download ng Mi Home app and create an account.
Then, from the phone in the Philippines, i-share mo yong camera to his Mi Home account.
As a sharer, limited yong access nya--hanggang sa tingin lang. Di siya makapag-change ng setting.
Kaya ba ng c400 na mabasa text sa computer screen na 2 meters away
Sa test ko, kaya mag-zoom in 2 meters but can't read the text because of the light of the display. Mag-over exposure ang kuha nya sa display, kahit sa phone. You can't adjust the EV of the camera. Pero kung maliwanag ang paligid, merong possibility mabasa nya ang text at 2-meter distance.

@@primavera919 Yes, it only provides free surveillance detected videos for the first 3 months upon pairing the camera after purchasing it.
However, detected videos are still displayed under 'Surveillance' but you can't play the video.
