Reality: People under 35 are more likely to read paper books whereas people over 65 are more likely to read on e-readers or phones. The answer is simple: being able to zoom in or enlarge the text makes reading on screens easier for people whose eye sight is failing.

Yep. I understand child addiction problem, but damn. If you use tablet to make crying toddler calm, because you are too lazy to take care of it and swing damn rattle few times don' blame computer games when from earliest age you've learned him it's only toy? I know real example of teenager who had start with PP games much later, in primary school but he got addicted. He tried to heal and was on good way, but turned back from simple reason. Any time he had some free time and didn't have more books too read (you know, books costs money and our libraries aren't too greatly supplied) if he tried to play board game with parents or sth they didn't have time. As he didn't know any stuff to do alone which doesn't require TH-cam tutorials he ended up either watching YT or playing games. People are complaining about children asking for puppy for Christmas and not taking care of it later, but hell, some of them treats children like those puppies. Rising children isn't just about tossing enough money on them and feeding them until thy learn how to cook so you can end up only tossing money. You need to interact with them sometimes. Play with them, talk with them... "Children can't communicate with other people due to preferring communication on phones" Yeah, sure, but most of their friends live further than on same street so they have to communicate with them via mobile apps. Parents are near, but if all their communication is mumbling "I don't have time" not even looking at child they don't have opportunity to learn.
I think the comic which represents this the most is the "I'm watching zombies" one. They want you to laugh at the children walking and looking at their phones, but really the parents are sitting behind the sofa and not interacting with their kids, who now rely on their phones instead of them
I suspect many boomers still think divorce is too shameful to contemplate? I do feel bad for their wives, though. Most of them are probably nice women who do what they can to give their husbands a nice life, but for some it’s never enough.

Oh, I know what the problem was. It happened to a child of a neighbor I had. It was because the peanut butter was not organic. If you control for when divorce happens, it’s pretty low. There’s also the variable of serial marriages, which is really a boomer thing. Control for that, and rates are even lower.

I know real example of teenager who had start with PP games much later, in primary school but he got addicted. He tried to heal and was on good way, but turned back from simple reason. Any time he had some free time and didn't have more books too read (you know, books costs money and our libraries aren't too greatly supplied) if he tried to play board game with parents or sth they didn't have time. As he didn't know any stuff to do alone which doesn't require TH-cam tutorials he ended up either watching YT or playing games. People are complaining about children asking for puppy for Christmas and not taking care of it later, but hell, some of them treats children like those puppies. Rising children isn't just about tossing enough money on them and feeding them until thy learn how to cook so you can end up only tossing money. You need to interact with them sometimes. Play with them, talk with them... "Children can't communicate with other people due to preferring communication on phones" Yeah, sure, but most of their friends live further than on same street so they have to communicate with them via mobile apps. Parents are near, but if all their communication is mumbling "I don't have time" not even looking at child they don't have opportunity to learn.

Oh, I know what the problem was. It happened to a child of a neighbor I had. It was because the peanut butter was not organic. Non organic peanut butter is harmful as it can react with the mercury inside vaccines and cause head bloating.

I gotta admit, shitty boomer comics from my youth made me really question marriage. Then it slowly dawned on me that women were taught they were only good for getting married and having kids while men were taught that it was okay to be aggressively masculine (expecting women to look like perfect 10/10, being waited on hand and foot by their wife, coming home to a clean house that they BARELY had to contribute to outside of yard work and repairs, kids quiet and out of the way)...combine this with nutty religious beliefs that you are a bad sinner for having sex before marriage and you have a recipe for disaster. At least my generation got married because we liked the person, not because of our wangs.
Maeleigh Dequeant actually divorce rates are low. They shot up significantly when it became legal, and they still count those statistics today. If you control for when divorce happens, it’s pretty low. There’s also the variable of serial marriages, which is really a boomer thing. Control for that, and rates are even lower.

I agree. Sometimes people divorce not because they don’t love their spouse but because their financial situation is difficult. Don’t always blame them for it, blame capitalism for ruining perfectly ok marriages
Divorce most of the time is great. I mean, back in the day suicide rate in women was high af. If husband was abuser/alcoholic wife had couple options:
a)suicide
b)running away with some other guy/alone (bad idea with kids)
c)killing husband
d)waiting for his death of alcohol poisoning or war.
e)being abused and keep living with the person she hates cause she didn’t had another option
So yeah, as woman i am glad that divorce is legal in most countries
