Ahhh Tenedos... I think by popular vote most people will tell you this is the hardest mission in the entire game! (Before Atlantis, anyway). I'd actually put Corcyra above it but I was helped a LOT here with some good prep and a nice bundle of cash at the start. Still, it's pretty brutal!! ...And that's why you get another meaty 2hr episode to have fun with!
To provide some context on why Athena might be sanctifying wool. According to mythology, Athena is a great weaver who is well known for producing beautiful and intricate textiles. The story of Arachne being turned into a spider is because Athena grew jealous of her weaving ability. Since weaving itself isn't an industry in this game, I guess the developers wanted her to buff the wool production itself.
If i remember correctly one of two cities south from this place on the map does produce fleece and can be raided by ships. I wonder why did you completly ignored them here. Especialy interesting thing about them is that unlike cymne that stay vassal if you conquered it before both south cities flip back to be enemies suggesting that you are suposed to raid them for supply here.
Truly a masterful gambit to have secured the Trojan alliance in the war against Troy, most diplomatic Potatyphus! Is part of the reason this mission gets such a bad rep because whichever colony is second is the one that gets hammered the hardest, and barren Tenedos is much less able to weather such an onslaught?

Awww yiss, horse mountain is almost as cute as sheep island was. :D It's so satisfying how they fit together.
Athena is such a badass.
