- 866 grain arrow vs 1,782 grain arrow.
Both arrows are Black Eagle Rampage 150 spine.
Both have same fletching.
F.O.C. is comparable: 19.2% for the heavy arrow and 15.4% for the light arrow.
Both have same broadhead: Bear Razorhead single bevel 250 grains.
Each shot at 9 full 1 gallon jugs.
Shot with APA King Cobra DG 102 lb
Only difference: heavy arrow had twelve 75 grain brass inserts.
Ranch fairy and Ashby were right.
A slow motion demonstration of the endless debate of 9mm vs 45 acp.
What are you hunting where 866 would be considered light? I'm just starting out in bow hunting and built 500gr arrows and I thought those were considered "heavy" haha
I shoot APA king cobra dangerous game with 100lb draw weight. So in that set up 866 is lighter since everything less, 450 to 650 or so, if I shoot those consistently, I fracture my limbs with. I’ve gone thru 3 pairs of limbs in a year and a half. Also the 866 is supposed to be light in comparison to 1,782. Obviously it’s heavy compared to 500 lol.
