Hey guys, thanks for the inspiration! I’ve mostly trained for mounted (horseback) archery and the thumb-draw method, as that’s the only form of archery I’ve actually competed in before, but this video really inspired me to combine that approach to archery with elements of regular target archery and I’ve broken one of the records in this video so far. The next couple I’ll be trying for won’t be your records, but it’s started me down a path to see just how many records I can break!
If they wanted to really do a nod, they'd have just dropped an arrow from a tall thing and shouted the whole time over an overlong video. Classic How Ridiculous!
@@geoguy3900 Lars does a very different type of archery. What he does takes skill as well, but he shoots over much shorter distances (typically) and with low draw weight bows and incomplete draws. Something to note about Lars is that his archery skills are mind-blowing, his skills as a historian are not so great, so take any of his historical claims and theories with a big grain of salt.

Looking at the video it is probably 20m ( you can see what looks like a 20yd line in front of him at the range which is the most common distance at American indoor archery ranges). Assuming that there are no draw requirements, (length of draw and draw weight) my claim above stands. Lars can put 10 arrows in a 20m target faster than the record in the video. I would also go as far to say that if there were draw requirements, Lars would still be faster than someone shooting arrows from a quiver vs. their draw hand. In addition, there are many historians that also corroborate Lars' original point in his videos: the quiver is an inefficient method of arrow transport in close combat archery.
I wonder how long it took them to do all of those shots in order to achieve the WRs. Amazing indeed! Saw them live in July. They’re truly amazing people, and just as amazing live as they are on screen!

The arrow catch world record was performed with a flu-flu in this video. The flu-flu is an arrow that is meant for hunting small game, it basically shoots super quick, and then slowly falls down and it also spins

Legit attempts don't allow many repetitions. Most of these wr are prolly either not legit or just fake
