Lesson for you riders out there! Look where Wout's eyes are looking...straight at the crashing rider. He needs to look left through the corner but unfortunately Wout was a victim of target fixation. At least in this replay, Wout's bike doesn't look like it's sliding out. Therefore, I think he could have made the left turn if he was focused on looking through that left turn. I'm not an expert, just an experienced motorcycle rider turned cyclist. Any thoughts?
@@jordanpearson4824 This vid doesn't have the overhead view. Some of the other highlights show this. You can see the first rider's bike fly at Wout. Not saying he didn't cook the curve anyway but it looks like he hit the bike before he went straight into the wall.
Ngl, Visma should get their boys a Descending coach, Cause they’ve been struggling with descents especially the wet ones, and they’re big consequence crashes too. 😔
It's attitude to risk I think - not technical ability.. Gutted for him but why was he pressing on so hard on a wet descent? He could always attack after .. (by the way, even the best descenders crash in those conditions)
The whole vuelta has already been such a nonsense ride with so many riders out because of illness, now this with van aert, imma head out I don't get any pleasure from this grand tour. Such a strange race breakaway win every damn day no one going for it and people falling one after the oder, See ya in mai again guys😭
Absolutely gutted for Van Aert
Poor guy. Why couldn't it have happened to Benedict Roglic instead? 😢
I’m so gutted for Wout Van Aert! He was putting on a show for us. So sad to see him crash out.
Great job from Marc Soler. Sad about Van Aert.

Great Ben, fights until the end, or to podium. One bone difficult to crack.
Three Aussies in jerseys, must be a first. Bad luck to Van Aert
Get well soon Van Aert😢
Get well 🙏 soon Wout.😢
Extremely sad news for woult 😢 max pooles breakthrough win has to be coming 😊.
Oh, man - bike racing just isn't fair sometimes; WVA has been putting on a show this Vuelta - so strong! Recover well ...
Roglic
So sad about Van Aert! It's been an incredibly tough year for the whole team!
Una pena la caida de Wout. Recuperate pronto, campeon. Saludos desde Asturias.
On fire Marc Soler

Not much he could do, looks like he hit the bike of the initial crashing rider after it shot out into the road and flew under his bike.
I think.he went straight into the bank, where he was standing there was plenty of fresh debris on the road

Probs to Ben o connor! Really thrilling Vuelta. Much more realistic riding in comparison to the Tour. So sad for WvA!
At last solerism has won 🥇 😂
Forza Wout!!!!!
The histrionics from the announcer are pretty funny.
The british accent is so hilarious sometimes! There is no ‘R’ in Vuelta a Espana, yet somehow one still finds its way in!! 😂
Visma cursed itself signing with Lease A Bike....cursed this year....stark difference from Jumbo Visma last year 😢
Oh so bad for van aert
Ben Occonor is cooked again. 😊

More spectators on the Tour de France femmes than here.
