This particular MSI PRO H610M-G has 10 vrms (a lot of cheap boards actually have 6, lol), so this board can power more than i5-12400. I've seen this motherboard testing myself, vrm zone with unlocked TDP for 12400f (100 TDP in BIOS) never gets hotter than 86 celcius, which is very acceptable for vrm.
Good video along with the other one on this budget MSI board. I'm curious as to the ideal memory modules to use. I really was thinking a pair of Crucial 8gb's at 3200mhz JEDEC CL22. It's interesting and nice that MSI have allowed and included XMP. Much more than you would get on any OEM system. Quite possibly a dual 8gb kit of lower timing DDR4 Vengeance would be better than the Crucial ones? After watching this. If it really will do 3200mhz using XMP.

Hi how can i do this without a cpu? I bought this board plus a i3-13100 but it is not booting and I think the bios is outdated. I dont see a bios flash button either...
No, I don't believe so. You probably need to get a 12th gen celeron or other 12th gen to do it. Probably best to buy a cheap B760m (not that they are very cheap). Gigabyte B760mDS3H is probably cheapest.
@@pyronabbo I had to borrow a 12th gen chip to update the bios, that was the only way unfortunately. it sucks how they ship these out with an outdated bios.
is this better than gigabyte and asus h610 mobos?? i am getting one of these for 12400f and rx 6600 as b660 mobos cost twice as much in my country...sry if i spam it on few videos so that i can get an answer
These are so similar in features and quality. There is not one thing that makes one of them standout of the pack. Out of the 3..go with which one you get best price on.
Hi! How to enable XMP on the latest bios? Have just bought this motherboard, updated bios to the latest version and dont have XMP enabled/disabled option on the ram section at OC part of the bios! On your version of the bios this setting exists. MSI's official site now says that this motherboard dosen't support XMP at all! Do you have XMP setting of ram on the latest BIOS version?
Hello friend, how are you? could you solve the problem? The exact same thing happens to me, no xmp profile appears to activate :(, since the motherboard supports it and my i31-12100f processor does the same, if you know how to solve it or activate it manually, thanks
@@v0idkid hi! The solution is simple: change the ram modules. I bought them on Aliexpress, they looked like original, but they were not. I sold them and bought the original and voila: xmp is activated by default and there was even nothing to setup. Hope that my response will help you.
I have a troubleshooting guide for the other common way to update bios th-cam.com/video/WTOnJUNYM7Y/w-d-xo.html , but not all steps pertain to this one. I would say, make sure your USB is formatted to FAT32, try a quality and authenic USB. You believe you have downloaded the correct file...for this one, there aren't a lot of varitions. Some other motherboards there are DDR4 vs DDR5, wifi vs non-wifi..Z790m vs Z790. So because not many things could be wrong on yours...most likely it is the USB. If you have 4 or 5 of them sitting around, try them all til you get one that works.

if you have Windows 11 you will have to reinstall it after update

Do I delete the older drivers? After downloading new?
I tried to update my bios. But the file doens't show up on my flash drive when trying. Im sure i downloaded the right bios...
