Ben, these tutorials are brilliant, they have totally changed my mind on Drambo and shown me so much stuff I can use in my own videos , very very impressed 😎😊👍
I have featured Drambo a couple of times so far but only in a very basic way, in tonight’s Live Stream it’s much more prominent using it in AUM with Digikeys for some interesting results, definitely not possible without your videos, so a Big Shout Out to you and your channel tonight👏👍
You’ve taught us so much with these Drambo videos! Many many thanks for the detailed walkthroughs and explanations of this amazing app! Please keep them coming!
I've been working on a rack for the Korg NTS-1 and when getting it organized with some sections I realized: the text accepts emojis! Just a little something extra to think about when being creative :p
That's cool to know, as well as you finding out about that feature. Just a heads up, you can almost do that with other music apps. For example I do that a lot in DM1, Magellan 1 & 2, Kauldron and quite a few others. Almost easy for me to locate a song versus typing it out.
Hey Ben, another wild video! Thank you. Been meaning to ask how you figure this stuff out? Are you buddies with Drambo/Beep Street team, or ? You always explain things clearly, but event then occasionally it would be so helpful for me to know WTH you have done (or how). But in part bc of you, I am now making songs in Drambo and I hooked up a new midi controller.
I was and still an a member of beta team, so I have a lot of advance time to play with features before they come out. Bit of a nerd too so I like to really dig in and figure out how things work :) haven’t had the time to make videos recently but still playing with Drambo and tinkering most days.
@@benrichards4554 It might be 'out of scope's, but if Drambo could figure out how to have premapped MIDI controls (ie to match Ableton Live), they could spare newbs from remapping everything. I just got a LaunchControl XL & can map some stuff, but all the stuff "meant for Ableton" won't work -- or at least I have no idea how to make those key combos work. Just a thought, this may not be a good way to reach out to BeepStreet folks. Ha
@@benrichards4554 Thanks again for your response! I appreciate watching you explain stuff, always learning. SIDENOTE - I'm mildly color blind, so the input/output connects in Drambo is a fun challenge. (I do it ok when the colors are wildly different.)
I made my first FM sound - loved the purity but all the extra stuff you can add either didn’t work or made no sound. I had to go to the start over& over again - it was so boring! Now I see the presets, I can reverse engineer them to make my own. Many thanks!
Thanks for vid! Can someone tell me: why when I make the tune pitch of an oscillator waver with an LFO, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make this vibrato sail in gently by adding an ADSR envelop??? It just doesn’t work! On a physical synth I do this easily and it sounds like a voice that goes in vibrato.
It can be done! It would look like this : LFO (with gate input from MIDI2Cv) into input of ADSR. Output of that ADSR into frequency mod input of Oscillator, then Oscillator into regular ADSR. Or ENV adsr controlling Amount of LFO, controlling frequency mod.
Thanks enormous! I kind of like succeeded to reproduce what you described! Though, the sound it makes (with some “attack” from the LFO dedicated ASDR) is: small amount vibrato, followed by deeper vibrato. I cannot succeed having a no vibrato note for a second, followed by appearing vibrato. I ALMOST succeed achieving this by lowering almost to zero (central position) the two tiny potentiometers I’ve inserted left side by the “tune” potentiometer of the oscillator (they stand in this order Envelope pot, LFO pot).
PS I now have removed the tiny LFO pot affecting the “tune” button of the oscilator, I only left the envelope one and it works like I want it 😝😀 Now I’m going to start to struggle with how to have each note played to slide from a half note below it for a 1/4 of a second! Almost got this by inserting a graphic envelope, draw an upwards slope and link it to the “tune button” of the oscillator…

I think the world needs a Doug video on Drambo! Glad you have been wooed by the Drambo as well :)

Thanks for this excellent tutorial! Makes it so much easier now to get started 😊
Another great Drambo tutorial. Thanks!
Loving your videos, thank you so much! This is the video I need right now, you just cleared up a few things for me.
Awesome! This is extremely helpful.
Your videos are so informative and helpful! Thanks a lot!
Many thanks!! Learning so much and having fun with Drambo! 🔥

Shmoopy Shaboopy hah. Nice catch
Haha emojis! I did not think about that!

Is there a way to set macros and/or set custom ranges for knobs or macros in an instrument rack?
@@SparkySubie you could create Morph knobs or use a Knobs module (for modulate-able parameters) to do this. Then hide all native controls.
