  • A bit of a departure from the norm here, I use an iOS virtual modular groovebox called Drambo to illustrate some basic principles of Subtractive Synthesis and Modular synthesizers.

WOW! An actual TUTORIAL that TEACHES! I’ve learned more about “synthing” than I have from any other vid. THANKS! 👍👍🍺🍺

perfect concise intro tutorial for Drambo as well as synthesis in general! You must have a very clear mind. Perfectly explained, leaving nothing out and not going too fast :) Thanks you a lot for this!

Been messing with Drambo for a week, nothing helped me develop some synth sounds as much and clearly as this video, thanks so much! Very much looking forward to the next Drambo vid.

Thanks for the Envelope ADSR parameter explanation! I’d totally missed that’s the Sustain is not time based. Helped demystify that module that I thought I understood. Thanks!

Fantastic. I'm a Drambo user but not educated on modular synthesis and this really helped me understand how to use these features in Drambo fully. You have an excellent teaching method - thorough and easy to follow.

Awesome post. I really love Drambo and love this overview. Clear Focused and Insightful. Hope you do more tutorials on this great app. Thank you 👊🏼™️ I’d love to see how you’d go about building Leads, Pads and FX for ambient style music...in vain of Aphex Twin, FSOL, Boards of Canada. Great work.

Cool need to get Drambo for my ipad. I use VCV Rack on my PC which helps. Glad we have free options for modular in 2020 as the real gear costs a small fortune! I know guys with 50-100k in modules. Bummer that Drambo costs $20 while VCV Rack is completely free.

Yo brother, it’s been a while since your first Drambo episode. I have a suggestion for episode 2. I’d love to have a similar in-depth tutorial based around the wavetable osc to learn from. pretty please.? 🙏 😄
