    Fantastic! It’s better to have waterproof pants and gloves with you. Also snow goggles come in handy due to the bright snow reflection. Shoes are a bit too many unless you’ll be hiking in Patagonia.

    Nice job. Any tips for match footages/colors in this cameras? Rwa and C-Log?

    • @OfTwoLands
      @OfTwoLands  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks ! I shoot prores with the bmpcc6k and CLog with the R. I try to use different focal lenghts so the footage already looks different and also shoot different things. Basically I keep them for separate operations so matching is easier since the scene or subject is not the same.

    I would like to experience both poles in the future so I enjoyed your video. I'm glad you were sponsored for all this equipment because camera gear and clothing as described is incredibly expensive, out of the reach of affordability for most of us :). I use the Sony A6600 (previously the A6000) and have small APSC lenses to go with it. Portability is important to me. I wish you much success on your trip!!!

    • @OfTwoLands

    Hi Florent,
    I really admire your work and subscribed after seeing the cinematography reel video. I wish you all the best luck for your trip and look forward to see more great footage because it inspires me a lot. I allso want to ask you a question because i trust on your skills and experience and the quality of your work. . I am a geography teacher with no filming experience and want to shoot some dramatic/cinematic documentaries. My goal is to get and edit footage like your level videos, but I am really doubting between 2 cameras; the sony a6600 and the a7iii. The bmpcc is too complicated for me. I only want to know which one you would choose. Excuse me for placing this here. It would be great if you could help me with my decision. Thanks in advance.

    Hi there, I`am amazed by your gear and was wondering, why you went for the EOS R instead of the Sony A7RIII or IV - knowing that the files of the later are more flexible etc. especially have more dynamic range... well... I own the Sony and still, after almost 2 years I feel that I can`t get those colors right with skintones.. :I So now I`am torn if I should jump ship to the R5 and R as backup. For filming the BMPCC 6K is all I need and more. :)

    • @OfTwoLands
      @OfTwoLands  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I own canon lenses and have been shooting Canon for 10 years, so it just fits my workflow. Plus the colours and auto focus are amazing :). The R works extremely well as a back up cam :).

    Mon ami, I love your videos and the content you post is awesome! I wanted to give you some friendly feedback, could you please make your music lower than your voice. I rather hear you more clearly. Otherwise thank you for sharing!
    Ps. If you could go back to Antartica is there anything that you would be different as far as shooting?? Tips etc?

    • @OfTwoLands

      Thanks man !! And yes, this video was made nearly 2 years ago so now I have changed a few things and it should sound better :).
      Hard question haha, I think I would bring the 6K Pro for that tiltable screen but that's about it. I captured everything I could without real compromises. I would have loved to be able to drone too.

    Curious, why bother taking the 5D Mark IV when the R essentially the mark IV mirrorless version?

    • @OfTwoLands
      @OfTwoLands  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are still very different cameras. The 5D4 is much more robust, battery lasts longer and never has any glitches too. Love the Eos R but the 5D4 still wins when it comes to pure photography for me.

      I think I have read a few times that if you use external power you should removed the internal battery. The manual might even say that actually. Better be safe than sorry I guess.

    Firslty thanks for your vidéo , but i'm curious about why choose the 18-35 sigma instead of Panasonic 12-35 , because the stabilisation for the bmpcc 6k and the 18-35 is definitively not good so if you are on the boat for exemple , it's not that good.
