Oh yeah. He is my most hated character yet, my favorite character to watch. I wish that Stormfront would have stayed. At least throughout Season 3. I would love to see her Homelander and Soldier Boy go at it.
i think i heard somewhere that he said he is actually playing himself in terms of personality.. and that it made him easier to focus on acting as it wasn't that difficult
tony IS a narc, and he HAS reportedly rather issues with his temper, and who knows what he'd do if he HAD superlaser eye powers? ^^ nah, i like him BECAUSE he's so openly egotistical. hes not trying to pretend. hes authentic and has definitely chosen the right profession. i also noticed how erin doesnt really look at him, very little eye contact. he must be really charming.

He puts a lot of his own mannerisms into Homelander, it’s part of the reason the character is so believable.
The way he emotes with his bottom lip scares me. Thought he was gonna start dropping bodies soon.

I don't get how people even view it in the same genre. It's a dark comedy with very heavy social commentary mostly, how can you even compare it to a Marvel movie, its a totally different genre to me.

I saw his acting chops back when he played in Banshee. Toatally different character, but still very intense. He's like a young Robert DeNiro as far as I am concerned. Can't wait to see what he does in his future.

Homelander plays hands down one of the best narcissistic psychopaths that I've ever watched in a show/movie. Every time he smiles even in an interview I get slightly uncomfortable.
Psychopaths are born, sociopaths are made. Homelander is definitely a sociopath with aggressive malignant narcissism. Which actually makes Him scarier, because sociopaths of His ilk actually have the capacity for goodness, which means they can play all sides with more ease. Psychopaths have more trouble appearing empathetic and real so they don't blend as easily.

Right? It's sad. She was naturally pretty and cute, now she's just a cookie cutter mold of a lot of other actresses who have that same look. It's a shame that actresses feel pressure to "improve" something that doesn't need improving. Especially at so young an age. I think she made herself look older. There was nothing wrong with her before.

i checked all the comments and no one was saying anything about how intimidating he was in this lmao. she started saying a bunch of bad things about his character and talking over him, so he started to clench his fist every time she started talking, and glaring at her, he is an amazing actor.
jokes aside though, i don't really think she should be this disrespectful to him. she is saying a lot about her perspective on homelander. which is great, but the fandom has jokes about how he's so alike to his character, and i think he's upset about her saying those things because he doesn't want people to think of him that way. she's also interrupting him a lot and talking over him, and she gets upset if he does the same. and not just in this video, but lots of others. very disrespectful.

Idk how you guys can reach this far just because of an interview lol. If you check out other vids from the same junket it's pretty clear that both of them are just bored and tired of it.
The entire cast hangs out regularly, as they share that a lot on their socials. These two in particular had tons of interactions before and always seemed to have fun. They go to bistros together, sit each other's dog pretty often and all that. A couple of other things they've shared also suggest that they are a "thing" but are keeping it lowkey.
All of the "other times", they've been very supportive of each other. I doubt Erin's deliberately attacking someone that's close to her, or that Antony's actually taking things personally.
