- 6 of my fave Google Calendar features to supercharge your organization and planning!
Optimizing my calendar for my workflow has saved me so much time & has kept me super organized!
1️⃣ Google Tasks: I love using these to jot down what I want to accomplish during my time blocks. The Google Tasks app is also great for to-do’s and will sync with the tasks sidebar on the web browser version of GCal!
2️⃣ Daily agenda: You can get a daily email in the morning that lists your schedule for the day! You have to set this up once for each of your calendars.
3️⃣ Separate Calendars: I like having separate calendars for time blocking and color coding! You can also turn them on and off when you don’t need to see them. My calendars are super fluid and I usually update them every few months.
4️⃣ Custom Calendar Colors: Adding your own colors scheme to your calendars makes everything more fun and exciting!
5️⃣ Event notifications: I need reminders set up so I don’t forget things, but when I used to manually set them up each time I’d sometimes forget! Once you set up default notifications on your calendar, you’ll always automatically have reminders set up when you create new events.
6️⃣ Different calendar layouts: Different layouts are so useful for seeing your time in different ways! My favorites are weekly on my desktop and agenda on my phone.

@@john-adriancoker2789 I wish there was a way to do that! Right now you can only choose a single color for all of your tasks, but not multiple colors.

@@helloluci I think something in between. I love the short form because it's to the point but, I also would have liked a chance to see one of two examples of different tasks flow in the calendar or how to get to the section to customize the colors. But, I love how it's going so far!

Would like to know if it's possible to have Google calendar on desktop give an audible alarm. If not, any work arounds?
I have multiple calendars with their set colors and all. How can I share ALL my calendars and transfer them into one calendar with a shared link? your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I haven’t found a way to do this directly in gcal. All calendars are separate and use separate links. I did try duplicating calendars to a new single calendar using Zapier. It didn’t work for me (created too many events) but it might work for you!
for your color palette do you happen to have the hex code?
I updated my calendar colors so I don't have them right now, but I am putting together some calendar color palettes and can find some that are very close to them!
How to mark a event after completed that event like in a task. And next query is how to set a time range when creating a task like 3-5
You can mark tasks off like a checklist but not events. You can’t set time ranges on tasks, just a due time!
Thanks. How can I make events that only staff can see? I work at an elementary school so I want some events public and some private.
I don't do this myself, but I know that you can make your calendar private and only share it with certain people! I think you can also do this by event, but I'm not 100% confident!

Im having an issue when it comes to my iphone google calendar app where in i have 2 calendar named “events” but when in website one is event and the other one is My Name (the top calendar)
For some reason it’s not possible to change the original main calendar name on your phone! Even if you change it on your computer it’ll show up as “events” on your phone. I am using that one as my “personal” calendar, and rely on the color to help me remember too!

Can I somehow select multiple events and shift them to another date, or do I have to move them all one by one?
That’s a great question! The only way I know to move multiple at once if it’s already set up as a recurring event & you reschedule it. I think it’s a product gap actually.
One time I accidentally set up an automation that created over 100 separate events and I had to manually delete each of them 😭😭

When I create an event it automatically duplicates it. Do you know how I can stop this?
Oooh I’m not sure about this! Do you happen to be syncing from a different calendar, like iCal? That’s the only time I’ve seen duplicates come up for me!

How do I link my ical & hotmail & google calendar
I’m not sure about Hotmail, but in iCal you can get your iCal link by sharing/publishing your calendar. It’ll then generate a public URL for you.
Then you can subscribe to that calendar in GCal under your calendar settings, under the Add calendar section! Just copy/paste your iCal URL and it’ll add it to your GCal!
How to add options for my calendar?
What do you mean by options? Do you mean you want more than one calendar?
How to customise color
You have to have a separate calendar for each category, then you can customize! If you use one calendar to color events, you can only choose from default colors + 1 custom color.
