No. That ruling was for a specific group of Jews and Christians at a specific time and place; there is no Islamic legislation to do that nowadays, hence why you haven’t been seeing it. Alhamdulliah, Al-Qur'an teaches us that Christians are closer to us in faith. In fact, the majority of those who come to Al-Islam are from Christian backgrounds, like myself. Reading about Jesus the Christ (PBUH) in Al-Qur'an and how beautiful it displays him helped bring me to embrace Al-Islam. Prior to reading Al-Qur'an, I was told by family members, friends and colleagues who were Christians that Muslims didn't believe in Jesus the Christ Peace Be Upon him. I was blessed to seek this for myself and saw that they were wrong.

      Awesome post brother. Welcome to THE Truth that is Al-Islam. The Qur'an (The LITERAL and verbatim Word of God) Tells us that the Christians are the closest to us so it HAS to be true. • @stefanusindigo4561

      You are wrong; it is not the gesture that matters, but the mind; when one closed his eyes and thinking about God, he connects directly to God without being hindered by time and space for God encompasses all, penetrates the whole universe. Your Allah and Jesus have contrasts characteristics; Jesus teaches universal love and holiness while Muhammad teaches hatred towards Jews, Christian, legalised Muttah/ prostitution and polygamy not only on earth but in heaven as well. We support it Sadat. We are here to help just as Islam is here to correct. I wish more Muslims accepted all of the Qur'an and respected God's word on the Torah, Zabor and Injeel. I wish more Christians understood the Taweed. Then we would all be saved.

    muslims and christians have alot more similarities than there are differences, so why focus on the differences? lets unite under what we agree on and pave the way for peace ❤

      Because TRUTH is at stake here. We cannot over look the truth, just to avoid conflict; not physical conflict, but spiritual conflict. IF Jesus is the ONLY way to God, then we need to stand firm in our faith. That being said, we must be open to dialogue with other people of other faiths, to make sure of what we believe, and if we find that we have believed something not true, we must be open to accept the truth. Sometimes KNOWING WHAT IS TRUTH, can be hard though..

    • @shyshy176

      As a Muslim, I agree hundred percent. Our religions have so much in common but we focus on the differences when we can quite literally love eachother and move forward doing our own thing.

    • @haisjw4750
      @haisjw4750 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pattyclifton7905 I agree. It’s hard to discuss the differences. But it is a big difference. Christians , Myself included, because Jesus Christ is God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. We can’t ignore this, we should be loving and respectful to our Muslim brothers and sisters but can’t pretend our faith is basically the same. Although most of the morale teachings are similar which I love.

    • @pattyclifton7905
      @pattyclifton7905 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@haisjw4750 I have heard other teachings on John 1:1, and these very well educated teachers have explained why "the Word" is not referring to Jesus. So I DO see Jesus as the Son of God, but not God. There are very few verses in the NT where Jesus COULD possibly be understood as God, but MOST clearly state him as Son of God.

      @@hannawurst6064 I am not quite understanding what you are saying here. Are you saying Allah's name IS YHWH? OR are you saying it's an unforgivable sin to SAY that Allah is YHWH? IF those prophets names have a connection to YHWH in there meaning, and you don't believe YHWH is Allah, then why do you respect those men to be prophets? I'm just a bit confused. Perhaps I am not understanding what you are saying correctly. Please can you explain it to me. Thank you..I am 68, and perhaps my brain is not grasping what you are saying very well. Forgive me..

    Wow I love this brotherhood. It brought me in tears of joy. This is a great friendship. I am a Muslim, but my bestfriend is an christen. We been friends since ninth grade. We die for another if it comes to it. She’s been there for me through thick and thin. We love each other like sisters, our faith has never mattered. We both respect each other’s faith that we celebrate our differences together. That’s the way it should be love and respect and living peace and harmony. I wish more people know and understood this. I want to thank both these men for there courage and hope for humanity.

      @kt95 gy i'm sorry...i don't understand. Muslims are allowed to marry people from the book (Christians and Jews) but having a Christian friend is haram ?
      So is Shk Omar doing haram by being friends with this Pastor ?

    Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, "We are Christians": because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah ; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.

I have only started listen to you more keenly for the past two days and I am hooked. I thank you for creating such a platform where Muslims and Christians can come together and discuss how we can build together without allowing our our insecurities to keep us apart. The testimonials were inspiring and got me teary eyed. I thank Allah for guiding me to Isalm.
