This is my favorite track by J-Dilla, and I'm am appalled to see that no homework edit of it exists on youtube. So what's a guy to do? Make one himself obviously! Not sure if this is going to become a regular thing or not, but I just really wanted this specific edit to listen to; the song itself has been helping me through some pretty tough times. Most of the edit is part one of the song, but stick around until the end for a little surprise. Also, shout-out to the greatest city I know; Love you Boston.

possibly one of the most beautiful beats ever made. its been my fav for years....no disrespect to any of the remarkable talent that ever laid bars on a Dilla beat...but his music was almost too amazing for lyrics. my opinion.

I’ve always thought the same thing. I love his work with SV, Common, the Pharcyde and ATCQ but you miss the intricacies of his musical magic when there’s vocals over top of the beat.
