I was so depressed two years ago and kept trying to get out of Mississippi while making close to nothing. Ended up passing some certifications, finishing college then moved out of my moms house. I kept listening to this whenever I would study or drive home working overnight at a data center. 40 miles there and back at 5am then would wake up at 2pm to repeat the cycle again. I make more money now and I’m healthier but I don’t think I would have done it without Dilla’s music.

You are never alone, when the beat places you in a frequency zone, use your mind to find remedies fantastic, then surf the feeling until the last kick, that's it feel the smile cascade across your sacred space, spill the moment like a lush inability to make it waste, time waits for no one so stay in the moment, claim the joy that you desire to officially own it, waste no more time being stuck in the past, happiness is perpetual all you have to do is ask, to be in the spotlight of the love that's eternal, write a happy narrative daily in your journal, the greatest love shines eternal to heaven and back, love of self is real when you know where you're at, you are here with us, the children of light, united as one eliminating the fight.
I remember when Dounts dropped. I was too young to realize what was really going on. We lost a real actual musical genius. J Dilla, certainly one of the Masters of music, I remember shortly after he passed, I visited James Yancey’s gravesite, and I said a prayer for him at his Tombstone... I’ve never visited someone’s grave like that, and I just sat there thinking about all the contributions Dilla made while he was still in this world with all his music that I love appreciate. I’ll never forget that day I visited J Dilla’s grave, it only made my appreciation and respect and admiration for Dilla grow even more to where I find a connection with Dilla every time I hear his music being played. It reminds me that there are music producers, and then there is J Dilla, who has that visionary ear to hear breaks in a song a certain way no one else can execute or perform at his level. Only producer to me that can come near J Dilla would be Madlib.
Dilla is the man... I don't get why so many videos have the NY skyline though when dude was repping Detroit... but it's all good, I'm sure he had love for NYC too.
I discovered J Dilla just recently (thanks to Flea from the RHCP). I don't known, it's a strange but comfortable feeling. I feel like I can do amazing things with this music around me.
Attraction between 2 opposites make one Wait until you hear my proposition Take one It takes 2 to raise one Daddy told me to trust god, it’ll be ok son Made the right choice of a woman Her womb carry my seed When I’m gone my kids will carry my deeds Mental power increased from the books that I read My punchlines like a right hook from Ali To create a better me The recipe Talk to my future self with wealth ahead of me Improve my rhetoric And never ghetto ish How can one be proud to be poor? A lotta mother in the hood will be estate less A self destructive culture being celebrated Cultivated by gangster rappers but eugenist made it It’ll be worst for the next generations My plan is established and my vision is clear Still water runs deep and they take somewhere

@@davidbarnes3864 I am here to refute your poor comparison and obvious lack of respect for the work of the gods, when you compare it to the work of an eighty-fiver.

Dat intro tho🤤
Dilla is the man... I don't get why so many videos have the NY skyline though when dude was repping Detroit... but it's all good, I'm sure he had love for NYC too.
Alien's hear this shit and know there's intelligent life in the universe.
I'm @ 1:27, Tripping balls. Oh shit it just totally changed. Groooove.
Jay Dee has never missed a beat. I swear every track this dude has made is an instant gem.
I discovered J Dilla just recently (thanks to Flea from the RHCP). I don't known, it's a strange but comfortable feeling. I feel like I can do amazing things with this music around me.
This is in the pantheon of life altering imstrumentals 🔥🙏🏿👌🏿💥💪🏿👆🏿👌🏿✊🏿👏🏿💎 Rest in power to the god
I play this on my porch and the birds sing along on god 😭
This is probably what astral projection feels like
Attraction between 2 opposites make one
Wait until you hear my proposition Take one
It takes 2 to raise one
Daddy told me to trust god, it’ll be ok son
Made the right choice of a woman
Her womb carry my seed
When I’m gone my kids will carry my deeds
Mental power increased from the books that I read
My punchlines like a right hook from Ali
To create a better me
The recipe
Talk to my future self with wealth ahead of me
Improve my rhetoric
And never ghetto ish
How can one be proud to be poor? For real
From the hood when shotcallers make the calls to kill
Nothing good in the hood, you make half a mill
Next 25 to life you gotta fight for meals
Or cooperate and sign the deal
Reality is constructed in ur mind then society
What u think about, come about
Knowledge can be obtained from a doubt
Forget the notoriety
Fame destroys peace and tranquillity
The invisible hand of a ventriloquist
Makes people talk without thinking consciously
Manufactured thoughts are displayed constantly
No-one can stare at the sun or escape death
Rules from Allah, I pray that I stay blessed
You say u holding a gun cuz make less?
A lotta mother in the hood will be estate less
A self destructive culture being celebrated
Cultivated by gangster rappers but eugenist made it
It’ll be worst for the next generations
My plan is established and my vision is clear
Still water runs deep and they take somewhere
How often do you see a video with 0 dislikes on TH-cam?
Well 12 idiots, as of this response, proved they are tone deaf or are actually deaf and are mad they cant hear this masterpiece.
damn this is sick
This loops has something weird. It looks like it's constantly different, like I can't find the pattern. The groove gets entangled in itself
yo ,this is a timeless classic. the true mark of its value is that it will stir emotions forever.
Happy Birthday, Dilla. we miss you. #RIP

To be common in that basement at that point in time space or the guy with camera when dilla searched for that particular vibe he wanted in this lol
Let's do it... Goosebumps familia. A true invocation of musical spirits. Bless for this one!
J Dilla was truly a master of his art. Although he passed on to the other side, his work will live forever.
Rest in peace Jay Dee…
La escuche en mi primer viaje a otra nación, estar tan lejos de casa, lejos de las tierras que me vieron nacer y crecer, es una soledad que jamás podré explicar.
Can I help you?
Yea can I get an order of deep funk bass, with a side of silky smooth synth,
Served over a fresh bed of Dilla bounce please... thank you.
Can't tell me this wasn't tuned at 432 Hz. This raises my vibration every time I play it. . .
