I see, because I had this same exact cassette and bumped it in the ‘97 Black Jetta on repeat! I always wanted to hear this again and thanks to the cosmos it found me again! Thanks x 1,000,000,000!!! ❤
Gonna be up all night working on this essay, and the sound of Dilla is gonna get me through it. I feel lucky to have been born in a time where his music exists and is still relevant. hopefully it stays that way.
He appears, drops what could have easily been a project for personal consumption for everyone to enjoy and disappears until he's needed again. Absolute legend
This makes me want to switch apartments with my neighbor just to see wat happens. Like play this song and move my stuff in there And then they move that stuff in here?
I'm the biggest Dilla fan on the Planet...just when I thought I heard every track of his...this Complation gave me a few New ones...I love it, DILLA FOREVER✊🏾✊🏾
There is no way you or anyone for that matter except family or close friends. He would send personalized beat tapes out to people like busta said in his peoples party interview he has beat tapes that no one has heard and feels some kind of way releasing it

One of my favorite things about this tape is the way that Track 06/ Alien Family sounds. I love the more up tempo feel to it. I actually initially heard this instrumental when Joey Bada$$ rapped over it. The more up tempo feel gives it warmer feeling; the rendition I heard on 1999 gave it a much more somber feeling. Just my two cents. Peace and love to all my fellow Dilla fans! :)
good for you bruh!! i need someone to pray for me. i have never been a good student but i just started taking classes again. i just wanna see it thru this time
I'll be praying for you my friend 🙏🏼 What helps me through this is focusing and studying a ton on the subjects that peak my interest, while managing to scrape by in the others. Might not be the best advise for everyone, but I've been following it since forever and it's been going great. Cheers :)

GLAD I HAD THE PLEASURE OF KNOWING AND CHILLIN WITH A COOL, SMOOVE ASS BRUTHA WHO ALWAYS HAD AN EAR FOR MUSIC AND LET THE HOOD HEAR SOME OF THOSE DOPE ASS TRACKS MADE FROM THE BASEMENT. Joey Bada$$? I think that was the Souls of Mischief album 93 til Infinity (which I don't think is related directly to or sampled by J Dilla's project but I'd be happy to be proven wrong)

Nothing feels quite sad, mystic, nostalgic and pleasantly warm and rich like a dilla joint.
