Hi, don't start applying the colour from roots..keep 1 inch gap from the root and then apply. Then leave the colour for maybe 30mins or as per your requirement. Just 10mins before washing your hair, apply the colour on your roots. Since, roots take the least time to get the colour better apply in the end. This will not make it too light.

Surprisingly No! I make sure to apply conditioner properly after shampoo. So, it has not made my hair dry.

I did the same colour and it looks amazing on the mid and end parts...but around the roots its a bit too light...so how can i fix that?
