Hry Chopsey, I was supposed to be having a demo on that exact bike this week ! Then I was told that its yours for 2 weeks , good job I like watching your reviews ! Keep up the good work 👍👍
Picked mine up last week from Wheels its with out doubt the best bike I have ridden …..a sensory over load of GRIN factor!! 1100 Factory all the way!! Great review
It’s not smooth which is why I love it :) love your reviews mate. I’ll be keeping my 2019 Tuono for years. It’s just perfect for me. But do like the new styling.
Great initial review. What I liked the most is the way you try to give us another perspective by comparing this new Tuono with other bikes such as the new S 1000R. Very insightful. Keep up the good work & keep sharing these great vids.
Great review looking forward to seeing more, just bought a 2018 1100 factory after test riding a 2021, the best bike I've ever ridden and not by a small margin either. What an engine!
Be strong, chops. You can resist everything except temptation. That’s a naughty naughty sausage isn’t it. Looking forward to this series of vids. Keep ‘em coming good sir. 👍👍
Having owned 3 v4 tuono’s , and 2 of them were factories . Yes it is the best sounding motor you will ever hear on the road , especially with an open pipe coming down to the creg ny baa full chat !!!
Great vid like always Chops !👍, I’ve owned the 2016 tuono and absolutely loved it, this new model makes me itchy.. love the new styling 😍,but reason why I sold mine was because I just cannot control myself on it, like on my 690 smcr but at least I’m not doing constantly over 100 mp like on the tuono. I too owned the 16 tuono Factory and it was the best street bike I've owned. I was full-on with the new Streetfighter or BMW but I think I'm keen on this new Tuono. And always love your vids Lambchop!
I love my '19 Tuono Factory. It also came with the servo-flapper exhaust valve thing. I swapped to the Akra without the valve and dropped 10.25 lbs. (4.66 kg).
The bike gets better the more you break it in. Was Lucky enough to buy this bike a month ago. Qs and blipper is not clunky anymore at low revs. And power delivery from low revs feel smoother to me. I do agree with it not being as smooth in the beginning, but its an absolute blast after the run in service 👍 i would also suggest to calibrate the imu in the settings 👍
I just bought a ‘20 Tuono Factory, and I’m very happy! I don’t like the ‘21 Tuono Factory color. Maybe I’ll trade up when they come out with a stealthier looking option with black wheels. 👍🏼
Sounds sooo good, I’ve ordered the s1000r but I tell you the sound of that engine on the aprillia ... it’s probably the best of the supernakeds at the moment
I have a 17 s1000r, and the one thing i fee it lacks is it sounds pretty ordinary other than when you are 7000+ rpm - nearly purchased a Panigale V4S with full arrow system just because of the sound. Tuono is I think better than a stock v4s

Thanks Mr. Chops, for a fair initial assessment of the new V4 Tuono Factory. Really looking forward to the next instalments where the Tuono’s class and pedigree will provide the evidence to name it, STILL, daddy of the super nakeds. You know it makes sense.
Nice review. Just need to mention just one thing that one the best Aprilia mechanics in Australia told me about Aprilias quickshifters. You need to be accelerating with atleast 30 percent throttle and shouldn't use it under 3500 revs. Otherwise you could be looking at the potential gearbox failure in the near future (at least he saw plenty of them, mostly because people use then in the city at low revs and not under enough acceleration load).
Great video Chopsy, I still can't agree on the sound being the best though 😎 They do sound very nice, even my old twin was a lovely sound, but I love that old race car sound a good inline four gives when really riding them, always have done and so happy I now have one.
My 2020 gsxr is still with the factory exhaust and still it sounds amazing. Im not saying it sounds better than a V4. But for a factory exhaust they really really gave it a nice sound. Even people told me no need for exhaust, but still im gonna do a slip-on.

G'day Mr Chops. Another quality video. When is a naked not a naked, when it;s a Tuono. Too much fairing in my book. What a great machine. When you were blipping the throttle before you road off it sounded like a barking dog. Great noise.
Ah, I've been waiting for this......nice review dude. Cue, older rider (who needs reading glasses) loving the larger display. Also cue; heavenly chorus over cloudy skies, Tuono owners falling to their knees and bowing towards Italy....A FUEL GAUGE! At last Aprilia!
I have not had a test ride yet but when I sat on both a BMW S1R 2021 and Aprila Tuono Factory 2021 in the showroom I found that at 6 ft 1inch tall with a 31 inseam that when sat down you were more upright on the Tuono the the S1R although slightly more lent forward on the S1R it felt for me it would be more comfortable on the road, the seat although felt comfortable I felt more on the bike rather than in the bike on the S1R 2021. Leg position was more acute on the Touno as the rear sets were slightly higher than on the S1R.
I disagree fuel gage really isn't a necessity but its definitely a nice touch. I have been riding a tuono since 2017 and never been stranded because I ran out of gas I have upgraded to a 2020 tuono factory love the semi active suspension.. this new model looks even more better!!!!
Great review chopsie! One thing though -- its worth remembering that bmw hp and torque figures are very close to actual at rear wheel versus most other manufacturers. Case in point is the s1000r 2017 had 160hp at rear and tuono had 162 (per motorcycle.com dynojet) so show the old girl (s1000r ) some respect and remember it was her that led the way with cruise control as standard on super nakeds :)

Excellent video Chopsy (Again!!!!!). Those low camera angles on your hill climb were brilliant even if I did graze my chin on the tarmac in a few places. I know looks and Italian design flair arent everything but that lovely polished alloy frame is surely in another league to the likes of the S1000R and other super nakeds apart from Streetfighter maybe?
Thank you Chops for bringing us these great videos , I find my self anticipating them , beautiful bike my only complaint is the leg position and the fact that I don’t have room for any more bikes in the garage
In regards to the quick shifter, the one on my F900r was terrible for the first 1000k's, but after the engine was run in and the addition of an SC Project exhaust, it's perfect. I'm sure it will come good on this bike.
Sounds like Team LCR is riding the Summer dream up there... Another great road test Sir! Are you able to get any intel on what official accessories Ape are offering on the 21 (eg. Slip-ons, luggage...)?
I just bought my 2018 brand new, was a demo that never got ridden. I'd love a tuono factory as a cruiser, RSV4 factory and then a 660. Would love all 3 as my stable to switch through
I wish this was a more of a looker and a modern styling change over the old one. Not keen on the headlamp/fairing arrangement, the Super Duke R looks so much better.
Love the new looks. They should have used the new engine. Just to keep it online with the new superbike. I’m interested to see how it stacks up against the new speed. My only hang up with the speed is the lack of windscreen. Is it wrong to to want a hyper naked that can tour also? Lol.

Great vid. I've got an H2. Should I (Lamb) Chop it in for one of these? I doubt it, but if it is actually like a 2-stroke, it's worth considering. Wish it has an Akra still, though glad it's eventually got a fuel gauge (unlike my orig 2015 H2).
Nice vid as usual Chop. If you've got a 19/20 model year, not worth the change IMO, but anything older then worth an upgrade. I cancelled mine but only because i have a 2020 model so wasn't different enough. Luckily i can't see my old Halogen bulbs when riding lol .... as you say if it ain't broke don't fix it. This model does seem to develop torque earlier though.
Ex-Tuono owner here. 2017 model. I miss the Tuono & don’t miss it if that makes sense. The acceleration towards the higher revs caught me out all the time and my license said by-by TWICE! If the fueling is fixed it would really call me again. The 2017 didn’t like going below 20km. EVER. It was a bucking bronco at 20km and below. Have they fixed that Chops?
That is one sexy bike Chops. Arguably it's now the best looking super naked. For me it's a toss up between this and the 2021 Ducati V4 Streetfighter [now with max torque 2000 rpm lower in the rev range]. I think the new Beemer S1000R will be the most nimble and quickest steering of the bunch but it ain't no V4.
Yes I agree, I think the new S1000R is the most agile and maybe best on track.. but that V4 motor is incredible! I want to try the 2021 SF again and the Superduke this year 👍
should i go to vegas and bet that you'll own that rsv4.... before your next ride make sure you have a bib on i'm sure wheels will want thier bike back without drewl on it ,but it does look very tempting indeed.....
Just as a heads up if you go to the race mode with the lap timer on the main dash you get another couple rider maps I think it’s challenge and attack time or something like that and you can change one as an individual from what I know with playing with the 660 so play with that a little if you want
I’ve fancied one for ages...I’ll get one at some point. The styling of this and new RSV4 (not that I’ve seen one in the metal yet) don’t look as good to my eye as the previous models...but it’s the ride that counts. Thanks Chopsy, looking forward to the next instalment 👍
I recently purchased the V2 Ducati as my second bike, its being Absolut amazing for the streets/track.... I’m a track noob. Now seeking the new tuono, wonder if I made the right call 😅....
Engine didn't need fixing as its wonderful. So I think styling and electronics were the right things to spend money updating

It’s got a fuel gauge- I’m getting one , that’s all I was waiting for. Awesome boots chops
Tripmeter works fine 🤔
If shelling out 18k Aprilia can afford us the privilege of a fuel gauge and join the rest of the gang.
Fuel gauge isn't a major thing I'd say, but hey it's all it took to change your mind, welcome to the Aprilia family!
seems fuel gauge does not work as it should... so the rule remains: Petrol station after 180k 😜

I cancelled mine but only because i have a 2020 model so wasn't different enough. Luckily i can't see my old Halogen bulbs when riding lol .... as you say if it ain't broke don't fix it. This model does seem to develop torque earlier though.
Excellent video as always. Now that you have ridden this AND the BMW S1000R - any thoughts on comparison? If you had to...which one would you buy?
Ex-Tuono owner here. 2017 model. I miss the Tuono & don’t miss it if that makes sense. The acceleration towards the higher revs caught me out all the time and my license said by-by TWICE! If the fueling is fixed it would really call me again. The 2017 didn’t like going below 20km. EVER. It was a bucking bronco at 20km and below. Have they fixed that Chops?
No fueling low down isn't great, bike just doesn't like going slowly!
Dude can't wait for it to launch here in India. It's a beauty but Aprilia had bad sales here
Beautiful machine! Can’t wait to see more on this one.
Mavis is going to need a helmet now that you can ride again. We may not see her all season.😀🍻
Haha sure she will be back Andy 😁👍
Did you just call my Bike "DATED" Chopsy!?😓😂 I do love the new front too but not sure on the rear.
Great video as always tho.
I want to try the 2021 SF again and the Superduke this year 👍
I think its marmite i think its the most ugly, whereas the older tuono was more inbetween. And i own a 2018 Tuono, will probably change to a SDR lol.
should i go to vegas and bet that you'll own that rsv4.... before your next ride make sure you have a bib on i'm sure wheels will want thier bike back without drewl on it ,but it does look very tempting indeed.....
Lovely bike. Shame they don't have something in between this ridiculously powerful machine and the anaemic 660.
To me the tuono was powerful for sure but it never felt like too much.
I saw the new rsv in the flesh - very very nice
You forgot to say chopsie roll the intro 😮
Yeah , you made me buy one. Cheers
I almost bought this but went with the MT-10 instead happy with my choice but of course would still fancy having this as well
Big shoot out this year chopsy. I'm in the tuono's corner.
Hi there what insurance company do you use for your H2? Thanks Angus ❣️
I recently purchased the V2 Ducati as my second bike, its being Absolut amazing for the streets/track.... I’m a track noob. Now seeking the new tuono, wonder if I made the right call 😅....
Word is that this is 'the best bike I have ever ridden' - please confirm
It's very good but not perfect..
Haha love the child giggles when you sat on it 😂👌
Great video!
