Coffin, what a huge influence on so many young men, teaching hard work, determination, sacrifice, and we got to wrestle to boot! Thanks Jim and thanks Rick for getting him online
Todd, we were and are the lucky ones to have Jim as a coach, mentor and friend. Jim continues to coach and inspire wrestlers today. He practices with the Bath Middle School wrestlers. - Rick
Great interview with Coach Coffin. There is a lot of good "free chicken" in the discussion. The "grit" I learned wrestling during my junior and senior years stayed with me. I only won one match my senior year (I started growing after high school) but that one match was against a Rumford wrestler. "Grit" kept me in the match and I won 3-2. I appreciate the discussion around Victor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning", a book , which as a combat veteran, with it's focus on that belief that we can "survive any what with a why", I have read many times along with The Odyssey. Great stuff!!
Thanks, Glenn, so many lessons learned in the room, on the mat. Thank you for your service and for those you’ve served and those you continue to serve and lift up.
I am not a podcast person but this was a great interview by two phenomenal people! I have learned a lot in my years knowing Coach Coffin and just in meeting Rick last year and my husband Chris respects and looks up to both of you! We have and cherish our notes from Coach Coffin! They are our "Coffin notes" and you can learn a lot from this man, which help in life lessons! Amazing!!
Lori, thank you. We are the fortunate ones to enjoy lessons and memories with Jim Coffin. Thank you to you and Chris for the foundation you provide to those young wrestlers that you work with.

Thanks for listening, Eric! Can’t wait to see that introduction to Knulp.
