I have 1 complaint about this channel and its how long i have to wait between episodes! Each new episode leaves me wanting more! Keep up the good work!
I always put my diff, TB, gear box breathers into the cab, up the centre pillars. It always made sense to me and worked much better than under the bonnet.
I put my diff breather in the canopy up high aswell. If its in the engine bay, the breather would get water in it if you go through a deep water crossing.
Thanks for your review, Harry. we've got a hybrid, and you're right about compromising. I'd love to know where your beach camp is. It looks like a great spot. Love Fred, he looks like a Bull Arab Cheers, all the best for 2024.
There is no difference in pressure between a long and a short hose other than friction and pressure drops through sharp bends. At the pressure we’re talking about you wouldn’t notice the difference from either.
Its mostly when a hot diff hits water it dramatically cools the diff which will try to suck air in, and with an overly long hose it might not be able to equalise the air quick enough and bust a seal and cause a leak.
@@tom6549 yes I’m aware. What I’m contesting is the physics behind what was mentioned. In your case, if the orifice in the hose is equal to, or greater than the hole for the diff vent it will equalise in the same time. The breather tube could be a kilometre long and it wouldn’t be any different.
A 110 watt solar panel is way to small for your setup as it will take all day to recharge the battery which is trying to accomodate the 2000watt inverter plus everything else. A 250watt panel is considered the bare minimum especially when its 40 deg c + in northern australia and the fridge is starting to work hard plus the performance of your solar panel is getting worse as the temp rises ! you dont want the beer to get warm in those conditions.
Cool build. You've added Diff breathers and a snorkel but the 12v inverter etc is at the lowest level in the tray. Did you seal the tray for river crossings or will the 12v be ok? My tub is so far from watertight it isn't funny.
So fitting a 2nd fuel filter after the tune now has cancelled the hp rating you keep saying. 2nd fuel filter restricted fuel flow and causes less hp and torque, i am sure the ecm will adjust but. Love the work yoi have done to another roll lux hahah
Great upgrade mate. Where's Moab? Every video release I think here it is......lol can't wait I absolutely love the USA trip so far as with all the vids you guys do no 1 channel!! Keep up the great work!
great video, hey any chance you could put the exact specs of the rims you got? For example off set front and back. I would like to get a set for my hilux d4d
Late with the comment, but there was no mention of speedo impact from going to a much bigger tyre? Did you do anything to counter that or are you just driving knowing that your actual speed will be higher than your speedo readout?
Surely the fuel tank breather already returns to fuel filler height in this Toyo product. Certainly does in a Nissan Patrol, well any vehicles I've dealt with from memory.

nice work mate, but why put the filter and catch can in those locations?!? the factory fuel filter is on the passenger side, and the catch can "source" is drivers side.
Hey Jocko, probably a silly question but would the wheels and tyres you have fitted in this video fit on stock suspension? There is so much conflicting information out there about this. Cheers
great videos as always :) I would like to ask the 4wd community to help a good bloke in need of some empathy, he has lost everything and hit rock bottom, if anyone could help him in anyway would be great. he has a small TH-cam channel called camping down under. he made a video where he spoke about his hardship, go give him some love, he needs it
Sweet video Jocko, quick question - how did you run cabling into your tub? I've got an N70 as well, currently in the process of installing a dual battery system.
Great work Jocko - is there a rough ‘real world’ cost estimate for this build? Planning a similar one for touring in 2025 and curious as to how much super this may eat up. Cheers
A Serious THANK YOU. Since coming across your channel a few month ago I have been addicted to your show and it has given me a new lease in life after my divorce, I was in a terrible mental hole and was struggling to find motivation to do anything other than work. Your episodes remind me how much I love the outdoors and even my 5 year old daughter enjoys watching your episodes with me. We have been on several camping trips and I have now made the decision to sell my current car and upgrade into a dual cab with a canopy and rooftop setup to enjoy a few nights away when we can, the decision was made after watching the Moreton island episode as we both love the ocean. A couple of questions if you have the time to reply, Im looking at spending $50k - $60k and just wondering if you had any advise as to what you would recommend as to what would be the best auto dual cab on the market for someone new into some entry level 4wd and off-roading with water crossing and sand driving in mind. The hill climbing stuff isn’t really my style plus I can’t afford the damages haha. Thanks again for helping me enjoy life again and loving every episode. Brad

Working on it haha!
@@4WD247 you guys got me itching to do a frame stretch on my TJ and turn it into a standard cab short bed! So you’re on the right path!
Yes I thought that there was another USA video coming 🤷🏻♂️
It’s insane!! You end up just loosing interest
Tucked in polo is a bold fashion move Jocko.
😂
As a N70 owner myself I'm really keen to see what adventures this weapon will go on. Awesome work, keep it up :D
8:31 Jocko's blood and sweat is on this build.
8:33 Then he's magically healed - incredible
jocko's dedication to this build is superb. just take a look at the cut on his fingers 🤙
10:44 is gold
jocko's got some damn fast healing knuckles!
Awesome video as always Jocko. Can't wait to see how the N70 performs out on the tracks.
Great job Jock. Enjoy the N70. Greetings from South Africa
Nice vid mate
A Toyota Hilux on 4wd 24-7?! No way! :o
Exciting stuff!!! It's another Jocko build.... oh no wait, it's another Toyota Hilux build 😄
Outstanding build! Thanks for the diff breather info as well. I’m going to look into that on my big tow rig
Shauno and Graham are gonna be wrapped with this build . absolutely awesome build!
Awesome video as always Jocko)))))
That polo looks extremely professional!
a vid dropping early nice
Aye, I call them the Tuesday Teaser.
I always put my diff, TB, gear box breathers into the cab, up the centre pillars. It always made sense to me and worked much better than under the bonnet.
Get into it Jocko!! Been missing you on the trips

Coming together nicely! Keen to see it out and about
Great build content 👌. Always look forward to your next build 😊
Bro that's an insane upgrade ❤
Nice build Jocko!
Dare I say I’m more excited to see jockos uploads now!!!!
Loved this video mate. Wish that was my lux, enjoy !!
Oh look, another dream Toyota build. Didn’t see that one coming
Who else loves jockos builds
Looking very good, now we need a trip with Jocks N70, Jesse’s BMW GU Patrol and Shauno’s Original Dirty 30 (12HT)
That’d be epic.
And grahams y62
N70 Hilux perfect balance of modern and simplicity
How those bloody knuckles in the diff breather section 🩸
Bloke this was very informative if I ever get lucky enough to get a hilux
I like the fact you're doing a build with a factory bed (tub).
That's an absolute weapon Jocko!
I see Ontap Products also do a similar water tank system you made.

Shauno,, lets make a off-grid series in this year 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
How do the 285/75/16 tyres fit mate any scrubbing
Just the video I was looking for 😘
So simple with unlimited budget. 😂
Hows Jocko with his shirt tucked in....!! 😂😂😂
Nice to have an endless budget aye

Looks great jocko ❤️🍻
I betcha! Its a hilux underneath that cover 😂
Looks good 👍👍
After this Jocko in the Hilux and Jassy in the Isuzu..who is better.
Well done..
Hey guys hope you have a good Chrissy and new year 😊😊

Saaaaammmmeee.
Wheres moab?
Did you have to do a body mount chop?
Awesome jock
Awesome stuff
My dream ❤🥺
Wicked
Excellent content! Thanx! Why did you install an air locker on the rear axle? Didn’t the truck have a stock locker?
No stock locker on those.

What about your fuel tank breather
No point in having a secondary filter if your tank is filling up with water when you’re stuck in a river
Surely the fuel tank breather already returns to fuel filler height in this Toyo product.
Certainly does in a Nissan Patrol, well any vehicles I've dealt with from memory.

I put my diff breather from the back to the front and then had a my diff leak. Just moved it today
engineer here - the extra distance to the bonnet makes 0 difference in performance of the breather provided it is sealed well
Did Jocko miss the memo where he has to install a Mits Alloy canopy on the back?
What was the final cost (incl. the retail cost of the free products you received from this build)?
Yeah, curious also on the cost of this build.
$15~20k easily.
Hey Jocko, probably a silly question but would the wheels and tyres you have fitted in this video fit on stock suspension? There is so much conflicting information out there about this.
Cheers
You get any tyre rub with that size tyre?
I would say so or he did a body mount chop of camera
Just a quick question for jocko but what tub are you using for your 1983 Toyota hilux build? Because I want to tub convert my 1982 Toyota hilux
The best work vehicle for me is a Toyota
Honest build mate…. Will do everything everyone wants to do… tow.. camp.. work.. and won’t break the bank.
ive always wondered, how do you guys dry your towels after bathing before proceeding to drive?
Have you never used a towel multiple times? They're rather effective until they're dripping.
great videos as always :)

Jacko when are all the boys getting together to do a trip together haven’t seen that in a while 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Jocko awesome video what offset did you run on the wheels?
285s with no guard cutting?
Surely it's going to rub and annoy hey 😮
What brand solar panel did you use for the canopy Jocko?
Be careful in the vhc. The 5.0 are not cool when mud flaps are missing! 😢
Sweet video Jocko, quick question - how did you run cabling into your tub? I've got an N70 as well, currently in the process of installing a dual battery system.
I didn't see the install of a first aid kit, but I do see some fingers wrapped in some tape. Any comments Jocko??? Haha.
The 1kd… it’s the dark horse
Is the suspension only 2 inch?
What size is your tyre
Great work Jocko - is there a rough ‘real world’ cost estimate for this build? Planning a similar one for touring in 2025 and curious as to how much super this may eat up. Cheers
What's the total cost of the upgrades on this build?
Only thing I'd do differently is run 17" wheels. All that weight and only having the small brakes means you can't go any bigger.
is the back of the n70 water proof?
Hopefully one day you will do something different to a hilux, dmax, landcruiser or patrol!! Mix it up a bit!
Whaaaat?!?!? They are yet to do the Ultimate 76 Series build yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How did u fit 33s on a 2 in lift with no chop ?
Jocko, did I miss the videos featuring you in the USA?
Hi good day. Re d tires. I installed a 285/75R16”. Is a lift required to fit d tires or to prevent fender rubbing?
When is one of its pistons going to crack?
When the haircut change doesn't make the 72hrs look legit 😂 good vid though!
"WE bought what WE think is the best dual cab ute in autralia"
Suuuurrreeee Jocko... "we"
🤣🤷🏼♂️
Meanwhile I'm just sitting here thinking how much more interesting this build would be if he had've gone with the Triton or BT-50 instead.
Hilux is better
Bt50 just a bit gay
Why do people get surprised when extremely experienced blokes decide to buy the car they know works best?
Mazda ew
@@davidly9716 its litterally just an izuzu
Did you break your finger jocko? Silly boy 😂
What thickness bash plates on the n70 did u use?
What happened to the rear mud flaps
you should have put the wheels on the car before you had it on the dyno so you got a more acurate number
Where did you get your front grill from?
A Serious THANK YOU.
