@mad_lizard one of the best runs I have seen for this boat . Never seen turn fins in almost horizontal position as shown in beginning of this video . Let’s see you blast this boat . Wondering if you will reach 80mph . In your next video would appreciate if you could please share and list the non stock addons , speed with which prop etc. 👏👏
@@minochercowasjee well thank you and I’m starting to figure this boat out as getting a good set up on it. Since I have moved to more modifications and motor changes and such, I was going to post a video covering, where to start on a basic set up, what are good propellers to use for type of ESC that you’re running. Starting off with bone stock to lightly modified to heavily modified. Reaching 70 miles an hour was my first goal. I’m close. I just need to do a little bit more tuning with a new motor and changes within the ESC. Reaching 80 is possible, but it will be a little bit of time getting everything dialed in and a few new upgrades to bulletproof the boat more. Turn fins are weak and bend in a fast hard crash, im upgrading those as well adding a brace for the Rudder arm for more strength as I’ve heard the arm breaking at higher speeds. And once I break the 70 mark. Then a TFL adjustable stinger. Upgrade and new Rudder modd for increased reliability, and performance.
wow, you have very good batteries, good esc but 1250 Kv is crazy with this 2215 prop.Theorical speed: 95 +mph! What you have to know is for a same motor size is the delivered torque is inversely proportionnal to the Kv, means you can have more power, but prop size must be decreased ! I bet you will have more speed with the original prop just sharpened... good trails!
@@vincentvassallo3843 yes, More Kv/Rpm changes the propeller diameter, and pitch. Theory speed over mathematical calculation on propeller numbers and RPM yes without any type of propeller slip and drag. Now this prop in testing was really too big for the motor change. My estimation 50 mm to 54 mm. Size Most of my propellers were based off the stock system and I have on order a few smaller size props for the new number. The motor and Esc took a 2215 with no problems except Amp load was extremely high. 300 plus amps. If anything this prop would make for a few speed runs So far the fastest claimed speed I’ve seen is 68 mph. Since this video I have made a few set up changes to the hull back to my base line and going to Run again soon.
It's the BlackJack 42" stock motor. From what i read it will get extreme hot on 8s...that's why they stuck to a 950kv cause it's a larger rc boat. Good luck.
@@TargetingXmod_RC same to what I heard for the 1350kv getting running hot on a few people. I also feel anything over 60 mph this boat is a handful to keep it on the water and stable. 1350kv I thought it was too much Kv and something between 1100kv -1200kv was a better choice to try. Slightly more RPM overstock and still enough torque to push the boat. Temps with a 2215 abc the motor only reached 105f and esc 90f. I still need to tune the hull and mess around with props again.
@@bushyfpv8036 I already have a Seaducer, RICO Racing Hulls, black pearl, hydro, Ose m34 mono, Ml Boat works hulls, and a few pro boat hulls. Build almost of my own parts and hull builds as well. However, I find it enjoyable taking a boat like this and pushing its limits. Under dog of the hobby. Money is not a concern and the joy of the hobby.

Nice man it’s moving out now. I didn’t catch if you were still using the stock ESC? Great video 👍

XLX2 Esc. For the data and ability to run more amperage.
