48in gas, mono and Super sonicwake 48, fun run oval’s together
Running together me and my son are driving. I have the gas mono, and my son is driving the supersonic wake.
Unfortunately, he got it. Stuck on a rope line in a swimming area cutting it short but interesting to watch.

After some tweaking of the boat with a new motor achieving a new personal best 70 miles an hour with the new 1250 motor During this video, I did have to make a few more adjustments, but those adjustments made a big difference. This set up I was running highly suggested not to run it as long as I did. It was too much fun not to stop, but Personal best goal made, and well worth it

send me your zenoah for $65 I will get you +10mph.
@@palehorse7377 right now I have intentions of racing this coming into this new year and the class on participating in the stock mono class so 26 cc and no internal modifications. But once I go modd class then for sure start doing some modifications
Did you adjust that pipe cuz it sounds like it
@@SharkBaitRc no adjustments on the carb were made. Still running the preset manufactured settings. Still need to dial the carb in a little bit more.
See the difference in my motor is 29.5cc and mod carb... my boat's 49 inches and it runs like a caddy
@@SharkBaitRc with your combination, I can fully see running like a caddy. Right now, I have intentions of racing this in my local club. Club rules I got to stick with for the stock mono class of 26cc with no internal modifications. I have not touched the pipe this was over the weekend and now looking into making some adjustments as getting comfortable past a breaking in point for the motor. Madlizardproducts@gmail.com Is my email for further communication if needed
Way to short, measure to the first weld. Or where the first expanision / taper ends. Believe it or not a fantastic pipe and easy to tune pipe is zippkits. Good quality and cheap. Works great with stock and mod engines.
I would be more than happy to show you my setup
What prop do you have on it
@@SharkBaitRc if I remember correctly, it’s a 67mm x 1.6 3 blade.
@mad_lizard try 7016 3 blade
@@SharkBaitRc Thank you. I’ll see if I can get one picked up and try a new prop. While I’m waiting I was going to shorten the pipe to 12.5 from 13 and see if any differences.
@@mad_lizard you will definitely hear a difference think of it as a two-stroke dirt bike when you hit the Power Band
@ True, getting on the pipe. I figured starting off with playing around with the length for any type of differences
If you have the zip kits pipe which is what I have and I love it from the beginning of the header where it connects to the motor 13 inches to the first weld you should hear it ride on the pipe pretty darn good
@@SharkBaitRc no it’s not as not a Zip kits pipe. I’m running a stainless steel Pipe with a 2in center band. Picked up from a company called dark wolf RC
@mad_lizard ok gotcha! I got a 7016 three blade prop and it's super fast I love the way it handles I'm still kind of getting used to it
Very smart. I guess it wasn't full clip either.
Fast boat Bradly👍
Awesome, love the gasers! Wish we had some areas around here that allowed fuel engines. Thumbs up!
Nice first run! Try bumping up throttle trim a bit to keep running until you run it some more. Get used to long runs!!
that is a bad mother of a boat right there. gotdamn.
Much respect on your build and maiden, but man she's noisy!🙉
@@scaleworksRC yes very noisy and a muffler is on order. Excitement at the best of us and getting it on the water for its first run
yeah its not ghey like an FE boat
Once all tuned in you won't have to lift on that throttle at all. Love my sport hydros . Fantastic Maiden
Really nice Maiden.. excelled on all aspects
I cant believe it handled a 40mm prop and didn't end up on her back! Some good tuning on your part! BG4L
@@IRONCLADRC I know, right I was expecting it to catch fire lol 😂. Tenshock motor from my 10 shock mini mono. Slowly building my numbers and tuning to catch you, brother
Nice numbers for that little puddle... I mean.. Pond* Temps are surprisingly low for those props. and, she ended up running some really nice laps
@@JANDRMARINE I know right the boat wants a place that’s bigger. Same here with the temperatures and how well that 10 shock system is running
Thanks👍
Question for ya, going to race this spring and i want a 4s mono. Im trying to decide between the delta force or the seaducer. Just wondering your thoughts. Thx
@@frankwilliams1981 I have a plan of racing the spring and in my opinion the Seaducer is a better boat over the delta force. Good for calm and rough conditions. Plus the owner is very helpful and friendly.
Ok, thank u for your response. Good luck this yr racing. Cheers.
Also how long did it take to receive the hull after ordering. Thx
If i were to drive my 58cc twin rico i would've been called the cops on lol
Nice lil' runner ..Murica!

Turning laps very smoothly for her first run! Very fun to watch! She hooks those turns beautifully! Mad lizard micro swoop fin! Game changer for turning clean laps! J&R H17 👌
Enjoy it brother it's such a cool little boat!!
Merry Christmas
@@SharkBaitRc thank you and merry Christmas to you as well. I will definitely enjoy this little hydro.
Hey bud Merry Christmas!! Hope all is well!! Yep she runs level asf! Great little boat!! I got something special coming for mine! I'm trying to get her up to 60mph! She can handle it! She runs awesome with a 2958 motor!!
@@RDM-RC thank you and merry Christmas to you as well. Nice I hope you’re able to achieve that and seems like there is a speed challenge going right now. She can definitely handle more power and for me this was a shakedown with a Tenshock motor and esc I was running. Propeller 3414. Mild set up. I have more props on the way.
@@mad_lizard Yea seems to be a challenge, sounds like fun! Coby did a great job! I was impressed with how stable mine was! It was like on rails! I had an issue with the stock motor before I even got it wet, it started to smoke and got extremely hot so I changed it out with whatever I had laying around and after I ran mine for the first time the other day I said, Oh she can take way more, so I went shopping!! Enjoy her and have a great rest of your day !
You need to see a DR bro!!! Your breathing from doing nothing is not healthy!!!
Nice can’t go wrong with the Rico boats great platform, are you running a pellet stove in your garage? Great Video 👍
Great information thanks for sharing 👍
You have neighbours?
@@markloubser2433 the people that live on the lakes at times are stuck up about noise. Certain lakes no gas allowed as well. Referring to the noise which isn’t too bad at all my own neighborhood no problem, but the people that live on the lakes can be stuck up on having any type of fun
@@mad_lizardI love when my neighbors get pissed at us for running haha.
That sport hydro with a redline will be a fantastic race boat. Not sure if u do it our not but pull your spark plug and read it, just in case. Lean is mean but fat is where it's at👍
@@charlesseda1127 After each outing I do pull the spark plug to take a look at it. Not looking wet and carbon buildup Has a coffee brown/ tan look. Rpm meter Read slightly over 15k of RPMs Needles not been touched since factory
Sounds perfect on the color, you can definitely pull more rpm with the right prop and not running so wet. This is a rabbit hole for sure lol.
@ yes Rabbit hole for sure. Tuning the hull to Run less wet was the next objective. Tuning the hull and slowly making adjustments as time goes. I’m starting to feel the engine is starting to loosen up some.
The boat sounds and looks great bud!! Glad you got to spend time with your son!!ds and looks great bud!!
Nice man💯👍
zoom zoom! Nice video. The leaves and pine straw in the lakes suck this time of year.
Congrats - you achieved your goal , quite easily . 👏👏
Good progress . Thanks for the explanations
That GPS loses signal like its from 1994 or something 🤣.. I guess it's not just me... I chalk mine up to not catching signal because of the nearby airport Nice last run!
@@JANDRMARINE I know, right I’m not too far off from the airport as well. Previously, it was working just fine and sitting there with a signal then all the sudden it just stops Then I just wait there patiently forever
@mad_lizard unfortunately it's not as good as we'd like it to be... Maybe it's our area, airports, weather...who knows Other than it's compact size... There is much room for improvement with the GPS and it's app.
👍👍
Congrats man!
That's awesome
Good stuff!
You running the gasser again soon?
@@adlucem9845 yes coming soon. I’m just waiting for a little bit better weather and a good weekend.
Thanks for the video and information.
wow, you have very good batteries, good esc but 1250 Kv is crazy with this 2215 prop.Theorical speed: 95 +mph! What you have to know is for a same motor size is the delivered torque is inversely proportionnal to the Kv, means you can have more power, but prop size must be decreased ! I bet you will have more speed with the original prop just sharpened... good trails!
@@vincentvassallo3843 yes, More Kv/Rpm changes the propeller diameter, and pitch. Theory speed over mathematical calculation on propeller numbers and RPM yes without any type of propeller slip and drag. Now this prop in testing was really too big for the motor change. My estimation 50 mm to 54 mm. Size Most of my propellers were based off the stock system and I have on order a few smaller size props for the new number. The motor and Esc took a 2215 with no problems except Amp load was extremely high. 300 plus amps. If anything this prop would make for a few speed runs So far the fastest claimed speed I’ve seen is 68 mph. Since this video I have made a few set up changes to the hull back to my base line and going to Run again soon.
Is this a fix will it work? will the shaft get greased? Is the shaft diameter small enough to allow grease to fill the brass tube?
@@mepropwash yes, the shaft will get greased, this is a simple way of greasing the shaft then removing all the screws and pull shaft out. You will still need to pull shaft out for inspections at certain intervals. I will do inspections on the impeller and the shaft every 3 to 4 months or so to make sure everything is an operational order.
Shake it shake it
@mad_lizard one of the best runs I have seen for this boat . Never seen turn fins in almost horizontal position as shown in beginning of this video . Let’s see you blast this boat . Wondering if you will reach 80mph . In your next video would appreciate if you could please share and list the non stock addons , speed with which prop etc. 👏👏
@@minochercowasjee well thank you and I’m starting to figure this boat out as getting a good set up on it. Since I have moved to more modifications and motor changes and such, I was going to post a video covering, where to start on a basic set up, what are good propellers to use for type of ESC that you’re running. Starting off with bone stock to lightly modified to heavily modified. Reaching 70 miles an hour was my first goal. I’m close. I just need to do a little bit more tuning with a new motor and changes within the ESC. Reaching 80 is possible, but it will be a little bit of time getting everything dialed in and a few new upgrades to bulletproof the boat more. Turn fins are weak and bend in a fast hard crash, im upgrading those as well adding a brace for the Rudder arm for more strength as I’ve heard the arm breaking at higher speeds. And once I break the 70 mark. Then a TFL adjustable stinger. Upgrade and new Rudder modd for increased reliability, and performance.
@@mad_lizard I am super excited . Let’s Get it on .👏👏
Great video and tips! I just subscribed to your channel.👍👍👍👍
