I don't fall head over heals in love with a vehicle often, but this Willy is the sweetest I've seen in a while. It's a looker. Nice that Sean has his hand in it. She's a beaut.

Shaun is a great fabricator in his own right. Im so glad he is still in the videos as i will definitely miss him if/when he leaves.

That's blasphemy. It's Paul's show for a reason. I myself would watch Paul if he lost everything except a tripod and a welder. Hell id watch his videos if he was homeless and just spoke his mind. Paul's a great guy with awesome kids and a supportive wife. I'll watch fabrats until the show or I die.

I am still amazed at how Grandpa Sherm filled in that huge hole with his home made forklift and other homemade “tools”. Can see where Paul gets it from.

Cool how you left the tree in the middle of that concrete pour.
No matter what, you don't touch the fruit trees. Preserves for Sunday brunch come from those trees.
Honestly came to the comments to see if anyone else was gonna say something about the tree. I thought it was pretty cool too.
The tree looks cool but I doubt it will survive with its root area covered with concrete and the alkaline in the ground from the fresh concrete.
The Willie's looking great, I like that you left the look as original as possible.
And just WOW you have certainly changed the surroundings of the shop, it looks great.

You got a LOT of work done this week, Paul! The Pack Rat is really coming together nicely. The concrete will really enhance your ability to work in all kinds of weather and really gives your shop area a finished polished look.
Glad your still with us Shaun. Ive lived in UT my entire life 52 years. We used to go to the Nephi Rodeo every year. Sure made me miss going there seeing you guys Derby. That was quality entertainment me and the Wife and Kids were cheering each one of you on.
Following the recent derby goodness, it's pretty cool how Paul can speak "technical" with his boys.

Surprised that you wouldn't fab your own receiver hitch from the scraps left over from the bumper. Paul you sure work real hard ,must be an inspiration to your family.🙏 Stay safe , healthy and Jesus in your heart always.
Those receivers get wallerd out so you wouldn't want to use an old one that is sloppy!
@@wesman7837 He was saying he figured Paul would just take scrap steel and make a hitch, not use an old one. He could make one but its much quicker and cost effective to just buy one.

Paul, I know you plenty of good help from the family including Sean but I will say you are one tough dude. With all the irons in the fire you have going on I don't see how you manage to stay on top of it. My hats off to the Cox clan.

I think Paul saved the tree just to add a feature to emerge from the cloud of tire smoke as he and the boys drift around the ole' burn out pad!

I think you should take the rear bumper and make it a air tank put some fittings in seal it up get you a little portable pump and you have are for air and tires up down putting tires on tools

The Land cruiser is my favorite build of all!
I would go with a side tent but that's only because I like everything on the same level.

FYI, not a "Land cruiser" but what was copied to make a land cruiser.... Jeep's original SUV before the term was coined. Land cruisers and land rovers start is from this. There is some of the first "jeep" prototype being possibly influenced from a small 2wd vehicle made in Japan before WW2.
The Willy’s Overlander looks awesome. I hope all the stars at Fab Rats continue to shine bright.

Love watching you guys! Finally got to meet Paul and Shaun this morning and grandma. You seriously have an amazing family and appreciate what you guys do. It was a privilege to see everything in person thank you so much.
Even though you are packed into your shop you still manage to keep it clean and orderly. I know it is not easy to do.

just a word of advice and a suggested idea maybe build a skip plate around the winch to keep it from being hit or damaged since it is mounted upside down

It's awsome to see FabRats and the Trailmater gang essentially haven't changed much since the beginnings, the core of the shows are the same unlike some other channels that have definitely changed
Pack Rat is looking good! I like how you saved your fruit tree and poured concrete all around it. But I will just say a couple of towns here in Kansas did that with some of there side walks and the trees have died. Maybe they are not getting enough of the rain water? So pay attention to your tree.
It’s impressive how you imagine, modify, and create really cool projects. I also think the square tube bumpers look amazing on their own. You do a great job.
Kenneth is a talented airplane maker. I like those creations he made for you. Pretty cool!

Need to rotate that winch 90 degrees to get the control box out of the way. I get you plan on moving it, but just rotating the winch so that the feet are facing the bumper allows a better pull against the winch versus across the single shear of the bolt. Plus it keeps the control box protected.
Really liking this Willy concept. It's the best of the builds yet.
For as much grief as that front bumper has caused you, it looks damn good. Persistence is key, lol y'all kicked its ass 🤣🤣
This could be one of my favorite builds along with the FJ and your Dad’s tow truck. I like that you are trying to make it look as original as possible.
The Onx Pack Rat build is slowly taking shape. That is one way of getting rid of mud holes and some of the weeds. Cover them with concrete!

Paul, consider a sturdy bumper mount spare tire carrier I had one of those Willy’s - a ‘55. It was great for camping but the spare inside always got in the way. The rubber dried out too.
That upside down winch will be very helpful for rollovers.👍🤠

I mounted my winch the same way but the solenoids are mounted directly behind the winch.

The old Jeep wagon is coming along pretty well!! You've made a lot of progress on it and it's looking pretty darn good! The new concrete slab is growing quite large. That's going to be really nice to have everything on concrete instead of in the dirt!!😁
@FabRats y’all r s awesome! I’m on a fixed income and wish I wasn’t disabled… I’ve got a ‘90 Toyota and I’d love to get it on some 40’s and 1 tons..and 4 linked! And maybe something besides the v6 under the hood that makes some turbo/supercharger noises! It’s a 4x4 5speed…an it would b nice to go check cows and maybe a lot better ride🤷♂️and maybe hit a trail or two with my kids. It has just under 180k miles on it. I know the big man upstairs and know that faith he can move mtns! 🙏🙏🙏
