I've always had a feeling ,you weren't charging for recovery, and do feel most people would be more than happy to pay to be rescued. That's one of the reasons I have been watching for the last couple years and watching fabrats grow 👍🙏
I see people making comments about how they feel content will not be good without Hunter and Sean. I actually love seeing the boys working with dad, back to when they first started. 😊😊😊😊
That's right the kids are getting older now and can do more. Hunter needs to find something he wants to do for a living or be able to fall back on. Sean left one place to come work for Paul and it was a stepping stone to something else.
I agree it’s there time to shine now
I still miss Ben, the brotherly badinage with Paul was amusing.
Their@@sethcrawford6219
@@eternaloptimist2840 I miss Ben too but his channel is boring. I tried watching but I can never get through a full video.
Seeing Jace and Landen working with Paul makes the heart happy! Miss Sean and Hunter already
Im wondering where big grader has been lately. Was hoping with Sean and Hunter gone that he would see him in the shop more
I am going to miss Sean and hunter.
What is the name of Sean's channel?
@@talon0863don't believe it's started yet Paul said he would announce it on here to help get him started with followers
💯🤔 I didn't ,until I read this comment😮
@@caseyrenner7024 K thanks
I already miss them .
That's awesome that many times you don't charge for your services. You are great people.
At $75,000 a month he really doesn't need to charge anyone. Don't get me wrong. Not hating on FR or any other TH-camr. I'm a fan of the Fabrats family, they make great content. I find it crazy and fascinating how much youtubers are paid. I say more power to em!
@@johnbatterton614 It's about $.01 to $.03 per view.
Fab Rats has truly turned into family videos. Paul is definitely enjoying the time he's getting with the Boys
Wow, what a blessing for those who are in trouble to recieve your help without another burden.
God Bless Fab Rats! ✝️
Gonna miss the boys but Paul working with his sons is gonna be a lot of fun ! Gonna need more Michelle tho ! She's funny
I agree! And Lolli ❤
Been a fan for a minute... this video reminds me of the early days of the channel. Ive enjoyed watching Randal, Ben, Hunter, and Shawn(sp) good times!
I was thinking that too as I watched this video. Great to see the boys all working in the shop now!
I bet Paul is so proud of the boys
it is awesome that you have been able to make enough to do what you love and teach your kids great values and skills. Keep it up
"Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies. Now that is old school. Yes, the comic book gang made music. I helped build a few demolition cars, but I never caught the bug.
I like seeing the boys doing wrenching together on the channel. Its cool and will be a nice addition for content.
My brothers and I did not grow up together and have been apart for most of our lives. We've gotten to know one another in the last decade (better late than never), but, as much as siblings can fight, in MOST cases, they can also be best friends.
Agreed!
We need to get these guys to 1 million subs. TELL YOUR FRIENDS!
I'm going to assume that once your channel hit a large enough amount of subscribers. the value of the rescue content is worth as much or more than charging a customer. keep the videos coming please.
All the larger recovery channels don't charge when they're creating content. None have said whether they charge when the customer or vehicle refuses to be in the video.
@@outlawbillionairez9780 I would assume that to be the deal, the recovery is free, IF you are ok with it going on youtube
@@outlawbillionairez9780 You sure about that I think Matt charges no matter what. Which I can't necessarily blame him if he does it's a business
@@ShineRunnersGarage I've not heard of him charging for a videod rescue. At roughly 700,000 views for an average vid, he's making bank. Add sponsorship and his own product line, and we're talking serious coin!
Was me, I would never charge. No opportunity for someone to trash talk, or claim they were over charged.
This was a long winded way of me saying I don't know, so it's worth exactly what you paid for it!! 😂👍
I figured you didn't charge people for recoveries because you're good people and you care. That's the main reason I subscribe to the channel. Also you are very entertaining!
Your boys are very fortunate to have a father like you who lets them learn hands on and always supports them in every aspect of their lives. I grew up with a father who taught me a lot of life’s lessons.
There's a noticable difference in Paul's disposition when he's doing "Funtime" work as apposed to the project work time. You can tell he is really enjoying it. Love your channel FabRats! Keep up the good work and we'll keep watching. I hate to see Hunter go, but I'm glad to see he is chasing his dreams. Love y'all God Bless, stay safe.
You guys are genuine people! You could charge anything really to rescue folks out there because most people in those situations feel helpless, they don't know what to do and you all show up and handle it. Not charging for the save is most righteous of you!!
the BEST... Paul nothing better than you working with your boys.... This truly is the way to raise your boys. Your boys are getting the best education you can give them.
I love how strait forward and honest you are! The world needs more of this!
When you do what you love then it’s not work. It’s nice you get payed to do what you love. Thank you Paul for taking us along. And crew.
I love that you help people and let us viewers “pay for it” with the views. I’ve always known you’re a good person, but this just confirms it. Thanks for the content
Paul is a good guy! love watching recoveries, playing, or building stuff. It's all good content.
Definitely different seeing people leave but, it should be a compliment to fabrats that you single handed helped build and elevate a person's life in a family setting, that's the win to me! If I lived closer I'd love to join fabrats! I definitely miss utah/Idaho
No one can argue the chemistry between Hunter and Paul is priceless and won't be beat imo
I have to say that I love how you have your boys working, but you also teaching them such valuable skills -- respect!
in-valuable experience, building a derby car at 18, I'm a car guy, had a bunch of cars, 2 years of auto tech in high school, out of all my grease monkey red neck country-fied friends, never known anyone to ever build a derby car, so freaking cool
I appreciate everyone involved in Fabrats organization. We miss the ones that leave but embrace the new. I also think it's great that you don't charge for most recoveries even though you deserve compensation. We enjoy watching you help people, and if that gives you enough compensation, then we all win.
Exactly. And very well articulated in the first two sentences!
Paul you are a great person. So genuine and kind.
These kids are super lucky to have you paul! And I know you feel lucky as well!
Paul that is soo cool that ypu pull folks out and don't ask for anything. We need more good people like you in the world. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!!!!!
As sad as it may feel that people come and go, thats life guys. The thing that speaks volumes of this channel is that no matter how good of a crew member leaves, the channel keeps going strong. All of the "past guys" have been absolutely brilliant, and us fans need to understand that they have plans and aspirations of their own.
Godspeed to all Fab Rats, past, present and future ❤
Big salute on no charge... makes watching more enjoyable. Been here a long time just quietly watching.... found you watching Matt's channel. Enjoy what you all do and watching the channel change or grow. 👍
So what you are saying is, viewers are helping pay for recoveries? That’s so awesome!!! Makes me feel like I did a tiny bit of good today. Thank you. 🙏 7:46
"Don't tell your mom" as Paul opens a box of goodies.😂
Made me chuckle since Michelle edits, but those goodies will be long gone by then.
Nice Video guys. It's good to see brothers working together in harmony.
Seeing your family come together to work, laugh and enjoy themselves along with friends, just great stuff. God Bless you all !!!
I don’t begrudge anyone who has to change for an off-road recovery. You and Casey LaDelle are both some of the good guys for helping people out when they are “having a bad day”. I hope you are getting enough to keep doing most of this stuff without changing for it.
I have been stuck many times and I have helped many others get out and never had to pay or got paid. Doing good deeds is the reward of being a good person.
Another Fab Rats video keeping things classy and helping us understand the tow rescues etc.. I love seeing the boys interact with each other while the head Rat is away. Only great content here y'all!! Love our Fab Rats!!!
Great to see the boys working with you - Michelle looks to have lost a lot of weight - hope she's well.
She's worked hard at it,and looks great. She'll be glad to read your comment.
I think a good addition to the your off road wrecker tool box would be a trailer hitch with a shackle. Slide it into their receiver and your are good to go.
Paul, you are a Good Man for not charging people for a simple pull that are stuck in your area.
THANK YOU! For sharing your recovery charge--you're the only off road recovery crew willing to share this info on You Tube. Yeah I said it!
I get that every recovery is different based on distance, equipment and manpower needed but having even a general idea of a recovery cost may help people realize they don't want to get stuck
I love watching the once kids turning to men right before our very eues. This has a totally positive vibration to it, watching father and son all working together. Great video. 😊 👍
You guys will always have a following, and this video will make it obvious to the people who watch, where you're heart is. 👍
Thanks for your generosity!
I cant believe people think about how much it cost to be towed. I think about how happy they are to see you.
You must have never lived pay check to pay check. Inevitable to think about cost.
@@usernamehere6061
Judging by the type of cars I’ve seen Paul recover, in the main, most of them are not living pay-check-to-pay-check.
If they were, they should take more care of where they go. JMHO.
@@clivehorridge It's kind of hard to tell. The Navy took me out to California in '73. I stayed there until '79, then moved to the Midwest for schooling. When I moved back in '82, even in that short period of time, I was shocked at how California had gone from some of the most unsafe vehicles on the road, to where it seemed like everybody had a new car. And those were high inflation times. I know; I bought my first car from a dealer, and my first new truck (1/4 Toyotas over the years) during that time.
People had discovered debt, and most people were in debt up to their eyebrows. It was disconcerting to drive around Southern California and see thousands and tens of thousands of dollars of automobile - either off the lot or, in some demographics, custom - sitting in the driveways of not much more than shacks.
I was born poor, on the wrong side of the tracks; grew up poor, and was hand-to-mouth for much of my young adulthood, including the military.
So, just because people look like they're not living that way, many of them are, to keep up appearances. Especially in California. If you notice, many of them have California plates, and like that one lady said, "the company will be happy" that Paul reinstalled the tow hitch cover.
Which says that a lot of those cars are rentals; same as they are on Matt's channel. You don't have to be well-off to rent a car. Plus, as a former auto mechanic, people will do things to rentals they'd never consider doing to their own vehicles - including taking them places they weren't designed to go.
Yep, the poor people venturing out there that get stuck usually call their other poor friends to help them get unstuck before calling a tow company.@@clivehorridge
@@clivehorridge Ever heard of rental cars? The one today was a rental and a lot of people will fly out there and rent a car.
Calgary Fire, cool. Couple of provinces over from my former employer, the Winnipeg Fire Department. I know Paul isn't doing the volunteer fire gig anymore but he did serve and that makes him a brother firefighter. Cheers.
Looks very familiar. I wear one of those. Old issue but still cool seeing it down there
Thanks for doing what you do!! I love your videos but to learn you’re doing most of the recovery work for free is awesome. Good people are hard to find these days and your crew are clearly a great group of people.
You are a good man Paul Cox!
Most people are so hung up and secretive about how much money they make. Its refreshing that you even talk about it ...... not that I really care about someone's income ...... you're clearly a hard worker and you deserve whatever the market will bear ...... which makes your kindness (in helping someone for free) even more righteous. Way to go Paul!
Loved this, reminded me of my childhood. A proud dad teaching his boys useful skills. Mechanical, welding, trans and diff rebuilds are skills they will one day teach their sons. 👍
Maybe??? Might just have to teach them how to change a battery in their ev. How sad is that?
500$ for that recovery is a super deal! I've pulled so many folks out to save them the thousand+ dollars most companies have to charge for their business. I've never asked for anything but the going rate for good samaritan work seems to be a 100$, most folks insist I take something for the trouble.
The $ goes in front of the number.
Yeah, $500 would be to do the tow of the Durango. The snow recovery would easily be $2500 or more.
It does make sense that the wood trailer and truck in the ditch cost something. I believe you said $500? That seems like a bargain price to me for the amount of work.
I remember the OG days of Fab Rats: Paul working after work and weekends on his, his friends, and his customer's vehicles. Papa Dar asleep on a tattered old chair. The kids with their RC cars. Paul scoring treasure at the dump to take home and fix up. The Mrs. running a hair salon out of their home. Testing flex in front of your parents' home. How times have changed! Congratulations on your success; never forget your roots.
Your kids are so lucky to have a dad like you !! I really like the way that they have to do the work but you will make sure that they don't do something really wrong.
My dad was the same way. He bought a garage in '69 and I started working with him on his first day. He taught my brother and I a lot. He made us fix our own cars and anything we did in the garage he always checked our work and pointed out our mistakes and showed us how to do things right, 53 years later I finally retired as a mechanic. He taught us that if a job was worth doing, it was worth doing right the first time. I carried that with me through out my life and lived by it. He also told us never to follow in his footsteps and become mechanics. That was probably the only time I didn't listen to him. I consider myself very fortunate to have had a dad like him. I'm sure Paul and him could have gotten into a little mischief together. LOL
While we don't regularly wrench on cars at our house, I've got a kid that's close to Gracie's age. He should be going for his Eagle scout Board of Review next month. I don't know how many times he's said to me, "Dad, help!" and I've replied, "I am helping you by letting you figure it out on your own." I see Paul follows the same philosophy.
One of my Favorite Channels
Awesome video! I really enjoy how you teach your boys if they want to derby, they have to do the work. You will be there to help them. Thank you for sharing 👌 😊
Paul that snow recovery was coolest I'd ever seen because it showed just how powerful the f j is
I was amazed at it
To me that is the powerful little truck I'd ever seen bar none
Yeah and $500 bucks is still a ridiculous bargain. I’ll bet a normal recovery business would’ve charged a couple grand.
@@kc360awareness $5000-$10,000
I had a feeling you didn't charge most people. Just the vibe you give off.
Great work! 🤘🏽
I love when you do demolition derby stuff
No matter who steps up to help out, Fabrats will always be a great family channel building cool projects! Love to see the boys learn more in the shop but I understand wanting to have a strong background. This is a dream job for so many people 🙏🏻
The Rat Wrecker looks sick with those wheels and tires! I love it.
Fab Rats has ended an awesome chapter and is starting off strong on the new one! Can’t wait to see what’s to come !
Best you tube by far! Always has been. You cost me so much $ cause i do absolutely nothing when new episodes come out. I have to watch them first then get to work haha.
Appreciate the realness in your content, it's like a dose of authenticity
Comments like this seem so fake . Like A.I . I see them all the time . Jmo
@@davestevens4263Still a true statement, why does the source matter?
@@TheGrateful55 because the source isn't real. It's a bot.
@@JMR-1953 I'm sure he's devastated at the loss.
I like how you realize people that are stuck are stressed cause they can’t use their vehicle and charging for a stress moment seems counter intuitive to your service really like that part of it and Paul you’re doing an excellent job in my opinion forward it’s worth…. watching you teach the young and helping out everyone it’s golden man
That fuel tank removal could have been a disaster, never let your guard down messing with highly flammable liquid.
It was empty. nobody was that stupid
Gas came out the fill tube, that was not smart!! Could burn down the entire shop!
My husband said the same thing! He was soooo lucky! Phew!
$500 was a steal for that snow recovery! Had a friend that had to pay $600 to a roadside recovery service to pull his truck and snowmobile trailer (larger fully enclosed one) out of a montana ditch when it slid off the road!
Paul, you're a good man. You make so many people smile, me included. That makes God smile. It's good to make God smile when so many make Him frown.
I appreciate that you gave an honest answer to the catchy title of the video. I hate when you click on a video and they give you some 'gotcha' bs answer.
$500 is a pretty good deal for that snow recovery. I paid that much for a simple winch job with no drama. Justified purchasing a winch for future use. Of course haven't been stuck since but it has helped other people.
Coming from someone who has to learn every thing themselves when it comes to automotive, usually the hard way, these boys don’t realize how lucky they are to have a father like Paul
You’re a good hearted man!!
My coworker just left for a new job too. Not going to lie. The place feels quite and like it’s missing something. It will take time to get into a new grove but watching Paul work is just awesome.
Good morning Paul I respect how you are in the instructor role letting Jace and Landon do the work themselves in my opinion the best way to learn is by actually doing it.
Have you guys thought about buying mics? It would help with the audio issue when you are traveling to do recoveries so people can hear you better. Just a suggestion
As long as Grandma is overseeing 🤣😂the work in the shop Fab Rats is gonna be ok. The boys are coming into young adulthood and are learning very useable life skills. Helping others without expecting sumtin in return is wat many in the US need to learn. Help your fellow person folks if you are able too
Man Paul's truck is looking good✓
It's nice to see you guys build derby cars again! Love watching everything else obviously but I'm ezduzit through and through lol
Are there any more reasons to love Fab Rats? The Fab Rats family is a great example we can all learn from and enjoy.
You guys are so awesome out there help other peeps that had a bad day. Goes to show there are still people with a heart and generally just like helping. Great job, I’ve watched every video, Sean and hunter will be missed but it makes room for others to come learn and enjoy the adventure.
I've found with locking lug nuts its easier to hammer on a socket to remove them when key is missing. Some dam tire shop talked my mom into all locking lugnuts, switching it back soon.
I'd pull those locking wheel nuts off and take them back and shove them up that idiots....posterior crevice. LOL I bought a car a couple years back and the previous owner had put 3 locking wheel nuts on each wheel (don't ask me why) and after I bought the car he informed me that he couldn't find the key. I heated them up and hit them with a heavy hammer. Broke the studs off and put new ones on. In fact I replaced all the studs and nuts on the car. Then I took all the locking wheel nuts back and handed them to him. We both had a good laugh. He didn't think I'd get the nuts off. LOL
You probably make so many people’s day by saying you’re not going to charge em, yet another reason I love this channel
The smile on Paul’s face when the engine started was priceless
This is why I love to watch this channel. We are out to help people.
really good video, it will be good when Chase relaxes and interacts more. You and hunter had just a good repour.
Jace not Chase…close😊
he is a kid yes but it's almost like it's arrogance that's just the way it comes across to me I hope that's not what it is 😢
@@gregtotten2617 I mean most teens are pretty arrogant (coming from a pretty unteachable, arrogant teenager who's working on it), this is why parents occasionally show their kids up to show who's still boss.

Thanks for the tour and the kind words when we stopped by. That wrecker is great.
Keep up the work boys, just remember if you get too good Your Dad will become the Camera man full time! Lol. Paul You are so kind to the travelers that are in a predicament!
I am a grumpy old prick, and I am typically annoyed by kids/teenagers in these videos, but Pauls kids are alright. Lan won me over by sending that buggy at Glamis, and Jase impressed me by bumping the crap out of that Nissan. Good stuff, Cox fam.
It is great seeing you teaching the boys to do things themselves with supervision and help when needed.
It's a whole different type of car repair when your primary tool is a sledgehammer. 🙂
Y’all are the absolute best kind of people. ❤ You are in business to live, not to get rich.
Skeeter appears to be the step child that no one wants, he just appears so randomly out of no where....😂
Skeeter is Skeeter. Not much to offer.
Yeah I wasn’t thinking of it those exact terms, but it fits.
Do you think he is set to be the new Sean?
@@kc360awareness I hope not, I like him but he and Paul wouldn't be a good fit. I just don't think he has found where he fits yet. I think he would drive Michelle nuts...and maybe vice-versa. He is better as the guy who shows up to help out as needed, wherever that is.
You're a good man Paul, and a good example of what a man should be. You're always there for your kids no matter how busy you are give strangers a break who are down on luck. Plus your channel is always interesting to plain crazy.
Go team fab rats and sean and hunter will be missed
The day you realize that your kids have been paying attention to what you are doing and how you are doing it during those times in the past when they were watching over your shoulder are very fulfilling. Love handing over wrenches (or in this case holding a camera) for my adult kids while they now tackle their projects and ask questions when they get stuck! Goes without saying that the tools get wiped off and go back where they belong when they are done.😊😊
For the Record: You Gatta Change what you Gatta Change. Time, Gas and Wear and Tear on the Vehicles. As for Progress to the Channel…
It will be just FINE 😎👍✅
