It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I have the Blink XT2 Camera mounted outside my parents house, and I would say the 2 lithium AA batteries probably last around 3-4 months with average settings selected.
I'm in a low traffic area, so my camera is only armed when I leave the house for work and such. My xt2 lithium batteries have just lasted their 2nd winter. Insane!
Great video. Most of these types of devices, including battery powered deadbolt door locks, don’t recommend rechargeable batteries because they work full power until they stop working immediately. No heads up on when they are getting low so it could leave you SOL if you were away etc.

I've had mine about a week and I have yet to see my mailman or the Amazon driver even though I've gotten mail and several Amazon deliveries!! Although it records cars going by it won't record people
Just wondering if more than one household member can view live feeds st the same time. I had 2 indoor devices but found that only 1 person could view st a time unlike the Ring system.
Hi. Your video about the Blink is very comprehensive. Thank you. I have read in reviews that it is easy to steal. One reviewer said you would need a hammer to remove it because it is so hard to install. Another reviewer said it was very difficult to change the batteries but in your video the little tool made it look easy. Wonder why Blink says batteries have a 2 year life?
The 2 years Blink say is pie in the sky. That is based on minimal settings, such as short clip time, lower resolution, that the camera is not armed all the time etc. The batteries last 3-4 months from my experience.
That's my biggest fear about installing one of these. I don't live in the best neighborhood and I know that if I install a video doorbell someone will at least try to steal it or damage it out of frustration if they can't.
No it doesn't recharge but you CAN access video anytime on wired not just when it's activated by some coming into view on batteries only. Having it wired saves on batteries. I added mini cameras and Alexa show
You call it a disadvantage, I call it an advantage. My existing wiring isn't powerful enough to power most modern doorbells. I currently use a rechargeable Ring doorbell and have to change it monthly, this sucker will go forever on the at pair of AA.
I dont get phone notifications when I ring the doorbell..I have no idea someone is at my door unless I look at my phone and see the video pop up. I dont have it synced to a module....is that the problem...it just shows "event response" please help
Recording starts practilly immediately when the button is pushed or motion detected. Delay varies by your internet speed and also if you are using a wifi extender etc. Like all wifi cameras, alarms and so on, a strong uninterupted signal with decent speed is the key. I recently installed the doorbell camera as well as some other blink cameras. I also use Ring and still have some other non Amazon owned cameras. Very happy so far with Ring and Blink🤞🤞

So does it come with the sound box? So u can hear door bell throughout the house? Might get something else that has hardwire option since i have alrdy wires sitting via brick walls. Regarding to brick walls - does the door bell has adhesive mount so you dont drill thru bricks or there is none?

No. The only thing that you lose by not having a subscription is the ability to SAVE "live" recordings ( which is when you open the app and you press the live button and you can see what is happening in real time). I have screen recording on my phone so I can save the recordings anyway.

Yep and mines still last about 2 and a half months with my settings on the highest quality and i have high traffic always setting of my camera's lol

The hardwire it has is so that it uses existing doorbell options, that was in like the first 3 minutes of the video homie

if you have an amazon echo device that will become your doorbell chime! the sound will go through that device!
i don't have to arm my blink doorbell for it to record when motion or when pressed.
deal breaker was the no wireless chime. the bell is loud but not loud enoug to hear. i conmected to my echo 5 but batteries didnt last 2 weeks
