- In August the Covid-19 situation in Europe was not too bad and many countries opened up for travel. I decided to do a solo trip and head to Slovenia which had been on my bucket list for quite some time. After getting a rental car at the Ljubljana Airport I drove directly to Lake Bled. Join me and see how I traveled with my trusty Opel Corsa in Slovenia for one week!

Oh my goodness, this guy can actually pronounce things in Slovenian! Ljubljana took him a while but he got it eventually, he nailed Bled and Bohinj … I'm impressed!
(In case you couldn't tell, I'm just here to listen to people butcher our pronounciations, I find it hilarious.)

@@JereTravels Ah, that one is interesting. Your first attempts were unsuccessful, but you got it right at 8:39.
When we pronounce these clusters of consonants, we usually separate them with a vowel similar to the "e" in "spider." That is, if one of the said consonants is an "L" or an "R."

that really shows me how many people don't know the real meaning and depth of traveling....the majority of vlogs about Slovenia (and other world destinations) are just the Nord-western side (and the most tourist spots) of the country....the remoter you go from the tourist sites and the more you hang out with the locals, the more authentic will be the trip and you will have stories/experience, that rarely a typical tourist has
Totally agree! I’ve had the most special travel experiences in places where most travelers don’t go like Iran, Kyrgyzstan, jungles of Borneo with the tribe people, remote parts of Northern Vietnam etc.
And Slovenija is super clean country too
It really is. I hate when in some countries people just throw trash in the nature. Nothing more stupid! Let’s preserve the beautiful nature for future generations too!

Great video. I visited Slovenia recently and I really love everything ( the nature, culture & people) in this small country. Yes, in my opinion, it is the most beautiful country in Europe! It’s a fusion of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, & Italy into one. Will definitely come back!

A really good video of my adopted country, Slovenia. I'm impressed by the locations chosen in just a short visit, like the Nadiža valley and Krn (needs work on the pronunciation). I left England for Slovenia a few years ago and explore my backyard frequently, especially in this lockdown year. Last summer the government of Slovenia gave all residents 200 euros to spend on a domestic holiday!

You should have went from Kobarid to Bovec over the mountain pass Vršič and then through Kranj to Ljubljana

Nadiža river must have been after rain, because it is usually as clear as Soča is and even more turistic, beacuse it is warmer and friendlier for swimming

Thanks a lot 🙏 This was filmed in August. It was quite hot but rainy. I think early June should be good. Not the hottest time yet. So maybe better time for hiking than Aug. Of course depends what you want to do on your trip. Anytime is good in Slovenia! 😀

Thanks a lot mate 🙏 Well, it was mainly shot with 18-55 lens which has optical image stabilization and also I stabilized many shots in post mostly with Final Cut Pro’s build in stabilizer.

Are you sure you were in Slovenia? You said that locals are careful drivers... From my experience living all my life here as local, I would not agree to that because locals drive like kamikaze.
Haha OK. Well, I didn’t experience any of that. Maybe I was lucky then! But for sure many other countries have way crazier drivers like Georgia, Vietnam or even Turkey where I’ve driven a lot etc.
