Ah, thanks for the welcome! (I wondered if anyone had noticed the absence). Things are good, just super busy with IRL stuff and some extended family visits, so I couldn't get the upload done on my usual pace. I'm hoping I can get back into my weekly(ish) groove again though. Tons more reviews on the way. Thank you for asking and for watching!
@@HushMySweet1 Gald to know ur healthy bro. I was kinda worried u were ill or something with the absence. Happy to know that's not the case. Always appreciate ur content bro. Best of luck 🤞
I really wanna try split layout and I love the look of the tikitaka but I can't justify $120 for it especially when DOIO has their metal split layout for the same price.
Not only that. With non split layout you have to bend your wrists more horizontally inwards which results in additional strain. This bending increases the closer you place the controller on front of your belly. And imo the controller should be as close to you as possible, because that way you need less back bending to comfortable reach it with your hands and your shoulders also can stay more relaxed in their natural position. This is also why I'm not a fan of the space surface many flat controller designs offer south of the buttons. You don't need a wrist placement since you shouldn't place your wrists during playing on the surface. Your hands are supposed to stay in the air, like when playing the piano. Non split layout just brings a whole bunch of additional problems to the table since it affects our whole chain of posture.
I liked the trade-off and found the extra comfort was worth the price of the button and OLED screen. If you are already used to having 16, then YMMV. Thanks for watching!
The caps look nice. Always happy to see more splits, though it looks like it's barely split. I'd like to see the controller wider with more of a middle gap. No USB passthrough port would be a deal-breaker for me. I do mainly play on PC or older consoles, but I wouldn't wanna lose features I already have in Haute42 stuff. Multiple C ports is kinda cool, Haute42 G16 had two ports but then seemed to abandon the idea for some of their other controllers like the M16. Realistically just having the one in the top middle is fine. If one of those extra ports could become USB passthrough with a C to A adapter that might be nice. Maybe we could even see a MagicBoots-like PS5 adapter that's USB-C for controllers like that. I'm guessing there's no A port to keep the height of the controller down. Personally I do not care about the controllers being super slim.
All valid points. Though the company does offer a PS5 version (I just didn't get my hands on one for this vid), and the split still feels like a split even with it seemingly looking pretty marginal. I think you may be correct about the A port to keep things thin because this one definitely was very thin. But I hear ya, thin is win but after a certain point, there are diminishing returns and I would prefer other features instead. Still nice to see more all-button options. Anyway, thanks for watching and weighing in! Always cool to hear your thoughts.
If you are going to pass on this controller, then another one to check out is DOIO. They are metal and one of their models is a split design like you see here. Thanks for watching!
No, it can work with pc/ps3/ps4/switch/android/steam (and then there's another model which has PS5 compatibility). So you'd need an aftermarket Brook Wingman XB or something similar.
Split layout looks great, and those 3 USB C ports seem like such a small yet smart QoL improvement. Nylon caps are a big plus, IMO. Nice vid.
Yeah, I'm a fan of split designs too. The 3 USB-C ports were also interesting and something pretty unique. Thanks for watching, V!
As someone using a split layout Hing3dbox, I love seeing more and more split layout options like this! Great review as always, Hush.
Thanks for watching, Lendin! I appreciate it!
I just bought a fightbox split layout myself, was easy to learn
Nice! Yeah, I like the split layouts more than I thought I would.
The nylon caps look cool, hope they feel good after playing for long sets, box design evolution is always welcome
Always! Thanks for watching and weighing in, dude!
Aah an upload after so long...nice 👍. Hope u've been happy n healthy bro

That's fair and we'll look at some DOIO stuff down the line a bit. Thanks for watching and weighing in!
Split is definitely more ergonomic because you don't need to hold your shoulders constraint

Yeah, the split layouts are very comfortable. I see more devices going this route in the future. Thanks for watching!
The split looks more appealing to me, but wondering if I'd miss the one fewer button it has.

@@HushMySweet1 I haven't bought any leverless controller yet which is why I appreciate your reviews!

I'm going to wait for Haute42 to make one of these first. Other companies are too expensive without a good reason.

looks nice ....... one day I'll get a leverless
Hey dude! Nice to see ya. You've watched a lot of these vids, so which one has looked the most appealing to you to this point?
Hello hush... could you tell me what is the pin map button that is touch pad in pin mapping?
I believe it uses pin 21. Thanks for watching!
Does it work on Xbox Series s /x?
