Really sucks they still haven't made a 4k update for PS5. I'm a PlayStation guy, but I had to buy a One X just play this beautiful game. This game is too gorgeous to play in anything less than 4K.
The quick resume is also a big plus on the series x and I don't think people give that enough credit. On single player offline games, it is perfect.

@@crazemate Did you read any of my comments?? Xbox has no games. Why spend $500 just to play the same games that also run in 4K on the One X? That makes no sense. I said I'm a PlayStation guy so I mostly play on PS5 since it actually has games I care about like Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 16 and so on. When Xbox starts getting better games then I might pick up a series X, until then there's no rush.
@@Jedi_Luke I tend to enjoy playing on xbox over my ps5 due to the quick resume mainly. Play the PS5 for just the exclusives. Everything else is on Xbox.
The xbox is higher resolution and has better vrr and allm support. So it feels smoother and looks clearer

I was a playstation fan, but for about 6 months I have xbox x series and instead of ps5 this game looks amazing and feels different on xbox x series. I love the ps5 exclusives, but brother, the games on the xbox x series, I mean the graphics and the way the games move feel like next level. In my opinion.
Owning both is amazing dude! Yet to play this game but will definitely play it on my Xbox for sure!

Series X version runs the Xbox One X version which has 4K resolution.
PS5 runs the PS4 Pro version which has 1080p-1440p resolution.
It is 900p not 1080 on ps5

Edit: Basically there's no "PS4 Pro version", the game just ran a higher resolution on the PS4 Pro, that carried over to the PS5.
Neither of these is correct. The PS5 runs the PS4 Pro version. It runs checkerboard 4K. It’s not as crisp as XBox’s native 4K, but it’s still well above 1080p-1440p.
@@mandrews6282 I played and completed RDR2 on ps4 pro the first time, and while the game itself is decent, I will say the HDR is entirely broken and the so called checkerboard rendering at 4k is not right for the way this game renders its art to the screen.
Due to the lower-than-average horizontal resolution R* chose and the games preference towards large amounts of alpha foliage coupled with a highly aggressive TAA things get very VERY blurry (especially around swamp area of saint denis). When compared to the many quite impressive 2560x1440p 3rd party games you see on Ps4 Pro, RDR2 looks sloppy. Playing GOW and spider man after this was a DAY AND NIGHT difference in checkerboard upscale quality. The game looks way better on Xbox One X/Series X tho

Yeah that’s just not true, I’ve played both on Series X and ps5..this video has obviously been edited to favor Series X because they look so identical to me that you can’t even tell them apart just by naked eye lol..people are ridiculous..also something to note..my RDR2 loads up like 3 seconds faster on my ps5..so maybe this guys ps5 just sucks or was hooked up to different wifi😂
@@davidhardin2856 🧢 i have it for both consoles with oled TV. Xbox looks better and brighter. Sony is a bit blurry not as sharp. Sony checkerboard 4K is Xbox native 4K.
Tried Rd2 on both xbox series x and Ps5. I can say with absolute accuracy that the ps5 version is visually annoying due to the lower resolution than the series x version, I was very disappointed. Rdr2 is a game to enjoy on slow rides in the middle of nature, to enjoy the visual quality.. with ps5 it's not possible, so I uninstalled it.
As a Series S player, can't wait to sell it so I can get the full experience of RDR2 on an SX. It's God awful with the one s version.
Now that I think about it, the raw amount of power MS managed to cram into that Xbox one X last gen for it to play at native 4k, which something even the newer PS5 doesn’t do properly is actually fckin nuts.

The one X was impressive but it’s def not on Par with a ps5 power wise let’s be real here that’s a crazy comparison 😂 modern games are way more graphically intensive than they were in that gen so always hitting native 4k is a pretty big ask (Even for a lot of high end PCs) and resolution on the ps5 is still great in most cases too btw, plenty of tittles hit native 4k lol
@@bigjon8744 ofcourse I'm not trying say the last gen One X is more powerful than the PS5, I'm just saying it's very impressive that it could do native 4k in the first place, it really shows how ahead of Sony, Microsoft were in terms of raw power alone.
If Rockstar decided to make a proper release for RDR2 for PS5, ofcourse it will easily manage to run the game native 4k, and actually look good doing so, I'm just saying, it's kinda surreal that the PS5 version of the game looks noticeably worse than even last gen Xbox one X version of the game. Again, it's a fault of Rockstar not releasing the game optimised for new gen consoles, not a case of PS5 hardware being weak.

Thought about getting a PS5 or XSX to play this game at 4k 60 since my 1080ti on PC can only get 30 with max settings.
Then I found out they run at 30fps with dynamic resolution, yikes. My 7 year old GPU ain't quite dead yet I guess.
I miss my 1080Ti, I'm on a 6950xt now but my god that might be the best consumer graphics card of all time, it's still kicking and super viable
@Viswanathan69 A couple weeks ago I upgraded to a 4070 super. Now close to 100 fps at 4k. Huge jump. The 1080ti ended up dying actually lol. Turned off while playing the kingdom hearts remaster then stopped giving me a display output when rebooted.
Legend of a GPU, will never forget. I used to mine crypto on the card at 120% power limit and it was the cheapest blower style zotac version of the 1080ti. It had a rough life.

Has anyone tried version 1.00 on ps5? If so , how is fps? Is it buggy ?
Just installed today and transferred save files with my 1.00 glitch heavy saves. Works like a charm, SMOOTH frame rate! Just run the game offline and disconnect from the internet before install and play, turn off automatic updates and you should be fine as well! But the 1.00 save data can be directly data transferred as well

I have both series X and ps5 and time and again the series X runs older games smoother and better I e noticed only PlayStation exclusives look really good older games are always better on my series x
Many old games look better on PS5. For example - MGS 5 which runs in 1440p while XBOX version is 1080p or 900p, or Watch Dogs 2 - it's again 1440p on PS5 and 900p on Series X. That's because these games are improved for PS4 Pro but didn't receive One X patch. And also every game that did not receive any Pro/One X patches runs better on PS5 just because PS4 was better than Xbox One.

It’s notorious for being WILDLY inconsistent, not that it looks bad of course, the weather just has a lot of lighting and atmosphere fluctuations.
True the series x runs in 4k but it also depends on your tv. I have a series s and x but the game on my series s looks every bit as good on my samsung oled as it does on my x on my qled upstairs.

It's definitely zoomed in, but the resolution is lower on PS5 and that sucks there's no 4k update for playstation. Get a One X for cheap like I did and play it in native 4K. It's beautiful

I got both consoles series x and ps 5 and that is something playstation players never wanna admit because most of them never had xbox and Xbox had always better graphics we are at a point where playstation gets always praised in graphics but I tell myself for what? It's the cheaper console overall it always has been but media is biased and on Sonys side always. I bought rdr 2 on ps 4 pro back then it was advertised the shit out for playstation before release only to have the worst version of the game. Rdr gta 4 gta san andreas gta vice city gta 3 Max payne la noire all those games looked better on xbox and not playstation.

Neither version has a patch; Series X runs the Xbox One X version and PS5 runs the PS4 Pro version. So native 4K on Xbox and a reconstructed 4K on PS5. So PS5 certainly has a softer image as it uses checkedboarding to achieve it’s 4K.

The image is really soft and blurry on PS5. It’s a shame. Rockstar is crazy for not releasing a current gen patch. Then again, maybe it’s better they don’t as they’ve illustrated they can’t be trusted; the PS5/Series X version of GTA V is embarrassingly bad.

Xbox consoles have always been more powerful than PS consoles BUT Xbox exclusives just really sucks so bad compared to PS exclusives which gives no reason for most people to buy Xbox Series X when they can just buy a PS5 which has better exclusive games. And to make it worse, people can just buy the Xbox game pass on PC and just play there with a controller.
Xbox Series X is overall a better and cheaper console but there's really no reason to pick it over PS5 which provides you with more and better exclusive games. The only reason people buy Xbox that I can probably think of is the cheaper price (Xbox Series S is a game changer for low budget gamers) and people who just really like xbox exclusives.
