One of the best metal bands right now in my opinion. If you wanna check out more, listen to "Rise", "Dissension", "Enten", and "Oiran" and "Zen" live on their channel.
"Take any song, does not matter which", one might want to say. In my personal opinion, every Nemophila albums consists of masterpieces. Whatever they touch, turns into gold. They are simply ... Nemophila. 💮🐺 DE
Nemophila are pure 🔥🔥🔥. They play a variety of styles and excel at all of them. I recommend Revive or Rise next. DragonPhlyy will never steer you wrong
Adabana is used to describe a flower that blooms but does not bear fruit. It can mean something that is beautiful but ultimately meaningless, or something that doesn’t live up to its full potential. The band’s name, Nemophila, is also the name of a five petaled blue flower.
I understand the lyrics as encouragement in times of frustration and mourning: "Even though you might think that you are less bright and meaningful in society because you do not bear fruit although you would like to bear it or you are expected to bear it, you are still valuable nevertheless: You exist, you are unique, you _are_ a unique flower. Be beautiful, as you are, even without fruits." I think, that this appeal applies to every culture all across the globe. And it is urgently needed.
Nice to see another reactor recognize how talented Tamu is behind that drum kit. The whole band is stacked. Nemophila, Lovebites, BAND-MAID, Hanabie. The all-female Japanese rock/metal bands are killing it.
Thanks for the great reaction! Nemophila is like you said an awesome band. If you want to check out more I highly suggest any of their live videos of Revive, Oiran or RISE next!
Nemophil-a (you got it right) were founded in 2019. They are a supergroup composed of: ex-Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Murata Tamu This is one of the bands to watch, no question. They just started in 2019 and are blowing up fast. As you can see from the gang vocals, they don't take themselves too seriously-Hazuki even winks. They almost seem to be enjoying a private joke, that goes "Hi, we're a bunch of cute, fun girls and we are going to rip your face off, and you are going to like it.” Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Mayu with some help from Saki, largely to keep busy in the early days of the pandemic. They started by posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” th-cam.com/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/w-d-xo.html The viral reaction seems to have convinced them they were onto something potentially big, so they’ve been putting a lot more work into it, including some successful live-streams and an appearance at the annual Japanese female rock festival NAONのYAON. They tend toward hard and heavy, but also do ballads and some pop covers. Drummer Murata Tamu took time off to give birth to her son, and on her return, the rest of the bandmembers gave her a welcome back that resulted in an extremely moving moment captured on live stream: “Life” th-cam.com/video/HFnEYhbEAqg/w-d-xo.html After Oiran, others to check include "Dissension", which will fry whatever is left of your circuits: th-cam.com/video/26aMuahxz8c/w-d-xo.html and “Raitei”, which means “Thunder” in Japanese, and yes, they bring the thunder: th-cam.com/video/lh-dVLKP314/w-d-xo.html More recent drops that showcase their intensity and versatility: “Adabana” (you just watched this) “Style” th-cam.com/video/Aph5GON6rPc/w-d-xo.html (written by their bassist, Haraguchi-san) “Seize the Fate” th-cam.com/video/4tpgLyckVYg/w-d-xo.html “Rise” th-cam.com/video/rD3VMAm-9iA/w-d-xo.html Saki is the only one who had been with a breakout band before (Mary’s Blood); Hazuki and Murata-tamu are also considered elite musicians and have worked with a lot of other top artists. Hara-san is the youngest but is clearly a great talent and has been developing in front of our eyes. She has already written several songs for the group. And of course Mayu is quickly establishing herself as a great metal vocalist. They have toured the U.S. twice. I saw them live and they blew the roof off the place. You are absolutely right, to be taken by surprise. Nemophila are just _phenomenal_ , _brilliant_ . What surprises me most, is the fact, that they started as a _session band_ , some years ago. The singer (Mayu) had some songs and looked for session musicians for studio recordings. Then there was "chemistry", it made "boom", and they sort of exploded into joy, creativity and masterpieces. And the rest ... is history! Almost "outrageous", when you take into account, how much time many other bands usually have to "survive" to finally get the line-up that is fit for studio recordings and live shows. Nemophila are a once-in-a-generation-phenomenon, in my personal opinion. I relish the excellence of this band as long as I possibly can. 💮🐺 DE

Mayu, the lead singer who wrote the lyrics, said in an interview that Adabana is a weed that flowers, and the song is about that you can be a weed, but if you stay strong, you will be beautiful. And Nemophila describes themselves as the Fluffy Band from Hell. Fits
Their MV's are good, but they are even better live. My favorite song, and live performance by them is Zen, probably, but it's hard to pick a favorite when there are so many good songs and performances to choose from.
If you want them at their heaviest, try DIssension and Zen , or if you want their soft side, listen to Life, Now I Here and Odyssey. They have a very wide range of sounds!

Tamu Murata (drummer) has a TH-cam channel going back to before Nemophila. Pretty popular all in Japanese a lot of drum covers. You can see right before she joined Nemophila she started doing collabs with other people. Before that were all just drum covers. She did livestreams on TH-cam just sitting in a little soundproof room with a practice drumkit.
First of all. Nemophila's drummer Tamu Murata is very talented musician. She can play guitar (obvious not as good as Saki & Hazuki), keyboards, saxophone & xylophone. She can sing (not as good as Mayu) Don't know if she can play the bass (Haraguchi-san not teaching her??) yet. But a wonderful drummer. Does she plays drums in heels (boots) at a show?? Probably not but I bet she can & has. But this is a music video. The band is playing to a backing track. Doesn't mean Tamu was playing in heels in the studio. She's playing to the camera. Had to get it off my chest. How many reactors I've seen said the same thing. She's playing in heels.
@@kevinthetruckdriver353 because I've seen several videos of her playing bass - there's one with two others bassists showing her some tricks, and another where she's playing "Baby Shark" on bass
I remember when all female bands were basically gimmicks, in that they only got the spotlight because they were women.. But Nemophila and the countless all female bands out of Japan stand on the same stage as the men, these women are fucking amazing at what they do.. I played guitar in several bands all through my 20s and each one of these women blow me away in skill. It's great to see.
Watch all the BEMOPHOLA videos. Each song has a different sound. The platform boots are just for the video, in keeping with the theme implied by the name ADABANA, which is a flower that is beautiful, but bears no fruit. Look for other Easter eggs. Your sponsor’s name is pronounced, “Dragonfly.”
Hi Mr Patrol Gaming🤘. Nemophila are freaking awesome. Seen them live in Japan and they were one of the best live bands Ive seen. If you want to go back to the start try their first music video RAITEI. One of my favorite nemophila songs. PS I like them all. LOL. If anyone else is interested there is another brand new really cool Japanese metal band called Mana Diagram with their first released song Glitter Wind. They have the lead singer Uyu and lead guitarist Mayto who are ex-members of Hagane. Highly skilled musicians as per usual from Japan and the song is really good for a first release. They would love some YT support.
