I’m 55, menopausal and I am hooked on the fitness gems that are shared and have implemented consistent full body strength 3 times per week w/hot yoga for mobility on off days vs 6 days a week in the gym .
I realized I was pounding my body - which doesn’t respond to the workout & keto diet I did just two years ago.
I’m eating more, focusing on strength, form, then intensity … in about a month I’ve lost 2 inches in my waist.
Thank you guys for sound advice and conversations around being FiT!! 🙌🏽

I'm glad you guys talked about how difficult it is to eat enough protein. Even 120 grams kicks my butt sometimes!
Also, I'm with you 100% about the pregnant woman on the plane. I recently simply opened the door for an older woman, not thinking anything of it and she looked at me surprised and thanked me. Afterwards she said, "chivalry's not dead!" It's wild how much it seems these gestures of kindness seem to be becoming less common. :(

I did MAPS 15 while i did ice baths everyday for 30 days straight and my focus was to practice movements. Sometimes I didn't feel like working out and that was what I did. My squat has never been better. Able to squat ATG with significantly more weight.

This is trippy... I got my first TV last week at my new place, insignia HD 43" etc .
I discovered that I can transfer the signal of the TH-cam app from my phone to the TV itself.
( Which is mega awesome !)
And I'm now watching this episode on it - I had no idea you guys had earphones when talking to the live callers ,or Justin having tattoos or how gray Sal is 😮😮
All these years I've just been watching on my phone or every now and then on laptop 😆

This is going to be a bit sappy. But I just started really paying attention to these podcasts and I can’t possibly explain how much you what you guys talk about speaks to me.
I’ve been going to the gym for almost a year. I came in with a lot of self hatred and wanted to change. I thought hurting myself every day in the gym would somehow beat the bad out of me. To the point that I injured myself. My outlook is very different now and I really enjoy going to the gym now. So thanks for that.

  • @rebekahthomas6109
    @rebekahthomas6109 ปีที่แล้ว

Hello, I really hope someone replies to this!
Watched a few of your vids, great stuff!
I've been having cold showers and doing morning runs (just 10 mins to wake up and get out moving, sometimes endurance, sometimes interval sprinting) and I do X Fit. But I've recently been trying hard to shift extra pounds of fat, especially around my middle, which is so unusual for me, I've always gained on my lower body and had a very little waist. Until now. But last time I checked, I'd lost nearly 4lb - of muscle mass! No fat loss! All I keep hearing and reading is that maybe it's because my oestrogen is reducing (I'm 38) and so I should avoid anything that will trigger a cortisol response.
But I love what the cold showers and runs and X Fit are doing for my character and mood. I REALLY don't want to give all that up and replace it with gentle palates. The stuff I'm doing is so good for me in so many ways, but is it keeping my excess fat on me? How can I lose the excess fat without giving up the activities that are beneficial in so many ways? (I'm 5ft 7, 11st 6; on average I consume 1,430 cals daily, on 16/8 IF, 80g protein, 130g carbs, 60g fat, and I try to keep sugar low and fibre high, and I eat fibre before carbs to reduce glucose spike).
    Please help

As someone suffering from severe depression I so wish I could do cold therapy but I’m also autistic n sensory stimulation is a sensitive subject for me lol. Anything cold on my skin feels like razors, like I don’t go in swimming pools that aren’t heated or at least warmed by the sun all day cuz the water being colder than my skin will hurt so much I’ll cry. Thankfully I found your podcast n now I’m on day 4 of strength training n feeling really good for the first time in several decades 😊

Not specific to this video, but .... I've gotta thank you guys for recommending Masszymes. As someone with a past history of anorexia and SIBO, and ongoing GI issues, I feel like these enzymes could be a game changer. Within just 5 days, I've seen incredible reductions in bloating and distention. Seriously, my mind is blown. Looking forward to seeing how this impacts what's been a pretty challenging slow bulk. :) On another note, related to this episode, I worked on some of the semaglutide trials for obesity. Between the potential GI side effects and strong appetite suppression, I think it would definitely make it difficult to hit 200 g protein.

16:45 hitting protein is hard for everyone. I want to check out that plant protein. I've been loyal different whey proteins from GNC for years now and was always on the toilet shortly after too 😅. Tried the cottage cheese icecream. Won’t lie, it was hard not to just eat all the cottage cheese when I got home 😂 I’ll say I found hand whipping it to insufficient, had a lot of frozen clusters still in it. Tried again today and put what was left in the blender. Great with a scoop of vanilla whey and some fresh strawberries 👍
