    I recently got sober. I would drink wine till I fall asleep and a chain blunt smoker. The past two weeks have contained stressful situations back to back. I have remained sober. My willpower and discipline grew strength each time I didn't fall back into old habits. Now I feel confident I'll be able to continue healthy habits long term.

      Try and watch as many videos and get as much support as you can. I was stranded in NM and forced into sobriety and seeing and hearing the pain abs suffering from others helped me realize I was not any different. Sounds like your motivated but have the same surrounding so I hope you can find new habits and networks that support you. So many videos with Dr. PETERSON saying how great alcohol is and the need to find something more powerful to help stay clear. It's everywhere and celebrated by a sick society.

      @@marcolezberg1837 Before going away for a weekend I prayed that God would take the desire from me. I have prayed many times in the past but deep down I knew I wasn't for real due to thinking of upcoming events. But this time I was for real when I prayed. When I came home Sunday all my desires were gone. And haven't smoked since. I use to think I smoked due to anxiety and depression. Now that I have stopped I see I was giving myself anxiety, always thinking about the next blunt and not running out, worrying about how am I gonna smoke before every task. And the weed was keeping me depressed, I was unmotivated to do anything I planned, ate all my food, and wasted my weekends by laying around and scrolling on my phone. Today I finished a 10k, and I go to the gym almost daily. I'm so joyful, and can't believe I use to live like that. A few weeks after I kicked the weed I stopped drinking and not being sick for a full day after feels great.

    Babies are so funny. We totally love the look of fascination my daughter sometimes wears on her face. Introducing her to new sensations can become addictive. It's unfortunate that we lose so much of this as we get older but I think that curiosity and discovery is something we can actually learn from such young kids. The world is so wild and intricate, from the trees and creatures within to the impulses and cognition and idiosyncracies from person-to-person, to even something like the way a fridge works.
    General curiosity can truly enhance life and I think the world would be a much better place if more people practiced this more often.

    I have been doing "cold baths/ice baths" for years. I started recording it and it got really cold here in ohio to the point where the cold bath outside was in the 30's. Everyone would ask me why I did it, I would tell people the best reason to do it is the mental impact. The highs are just as high but the stressful lows are not as low afterwards. I'm like Adam I've been doing 5 minutes everytime.

  • @tpro4853
    @tpro4853 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Adam is 1000% correct, after the first two minutes, it's so much easier thereafter. I'd do waist down ice baths for 10-12 mins between 40-50 degrees in HS & College for sports recovery. Low key miss it now.

    Change is inevitable for everyone in life, and so is stress. Rather than letting it get the best of us, we can utilize working out/yoga/meditation to throw a punch back at that shit. So many people turn to alcohol or other coping mechanisms that might feel good in the short term, but ultimately causes more harm. Keep it up MP!

    Hi guys how r u.
    As I told u earlier that I am so fascinating by Adams story of reverse dieting. I am 41 and I started reverse dieting in first week of March from 1500 calories( approx 14- 15 % bodyfat)
    before that I was on a cut
    and have slowly reached to 2450 ( decreased a little bit of bodyfat) calories per day as on second week of April. In these 45 days I have also lost one kg weight and my weight went from 68 kg to 67 kg.
    I am currently in third week of phase II MAPS ASTHETIC. Should I repeat the program or maps strong or something else.
    What next for me. Plz suggest.

    Ai is fascinating and scary. I'd say the first jobs to go are likely in adminstration. You know, the pencil pushers who's job it is to read through reports, collect numbers and fill them in a form to send it off to the next pencil pusher? You can pretty easily automate all of that now. And that's also where I see A LOT of the progress happening. Just cancel out all that time and money consuming administrative process. Example: Doctors spend at most half a day actually talking to patients. The rest is all administration.
    With bot in the likeness of a VIP...I dont think that's likely to stick. People to people contact is something that is valued in itself. Talking to a bot is just not the same. I've heard about experiments where robots where tested in retirement homes, which just made the people there feel more lonely.
    Now, recreating James Earl Jones as Darth Vader for "Obi Wan Kenobi" (WITH consent from the actor) is something different entirely.
    A lot regarding Ai's future applyication still depends on future/running court cases.
