The footage looks like a double-axel, not a triple. And they should've emulated her wonky landing -- she still landed it irl, but Hollywood made it out to be a perfect landing, which it was not.
As there was no skater capable and/or willing to perform a triple axel for the movie, CGI was used to turn a double axel performed by skating double Heidi Munger into a triple. I know the real Tonya almost overrotated the landing irl, but the movie has used dramatic licence to make the jump flawless so as to make it more emotionally rewarding for the moviegoer.

You might be remembering wrong. She was know for the thick lines around her eyes and the bordering garish eyeshadow to match her outfit.

The jump in the movie was pre-rotated more and underrotated. Tonya's actual triple axel was neither. It is a movie.
