After Laura not being on canvas my next biggest gripe is Barbara Jean... Tony Geary and Jackie Zeman played siblings to PERFECTION.. and as loves come and go in our lives our siblings always remain.. there is NO WAY she would have let Luke become who he has over the last decade without a fight! I so miss Bobbi!!! Oh and Ruby goes without saying. Norma Conolly was fantastic. God Rest her soul. Nobody else could play her so we'll have to deal with Ruby's absence.
What is sad is both Genie and Jackie were more than willing to be on GH, they just either were not offered contracts or in Jackie's case dropped to recurring and never used. Seems like TG had decided he only wanted to work with Jane Elliot as Tracy the last few years and the show has sucked because of it. At least now we have Genie Francis back fulltime since TG left.

Definitely that is something you will see as you get further along in the playlist... everyone comments about Luke and Bobbi and Ruby's relationship... and how much it added to the show and the story. Family dynamics are SO missed these days. Stuff that we could all relate too... real families, not "organized crime" ones!!

Now this Scotty and Laura in the opening scene is why I fell in love with GH. He picked her up and carried her to bed. I know some of you found Scotty boring, but his love for Laura was very deep. I always rooted for them to make it and have some beautiful kids. Once it became clear, GH was not going to let that happen and paired Luke with Laura I did fall for their chemistry with each other. However now that Luke is dead, maybe Scotty and Laura should try again. After all they say third times the charm, lol.
There is a song that Bette Midler sings, "Every Road Leads Me Back to You". It sums up the Luke and Laura saga (before 2013) very nicely. It would make a nice song to go with mvid on them. I recommend anybody seeing this clip for the first time listen to that song, and/or after seeing them all the way through 2008.
I have to view these old clips after I see the present day (2014) antics of Luke. Today he seems sad,with no passion....even tho he's playing an Interesting character....who is out there,but no depth. I'm still addicted to him,but still saddened by no LNL.

My aunt used to watch GH religiously every day. If anyone called her phone between 3-4pm she’d never answer it😂. She was a died hard Luke and Laura fan, she loved those two. Ruby reminds me of her, way back when😢

Lol. 3 years later and I'm rewatching & commenting. I love what Luke says at the end of this clip. You don't want this in real life but It's like why I loved certain couples in t.v. dramas. Especially Luke & Laura. No way can Luke ever love Jennifer. And he was real about it! He was obsessed with Laura. When they made their triumphant return to GH later with Lucky I returned to watching it after years. The writing was initially great. I wasnt thrilled that they turned Laura into a very boring housewife. Though he biggest let down over time was them allowing Luke to truly appear to be able to "love" others. I was fine with him filling up the space of Laura when alone...but never loving another.
