    Don't worry about the hoses, very different requirements on a cylinder vs a hyd motor. Big hoses on the grappel will make it slam up and down , not cool. Get some sort of spring loaded hose tender to keep the hoses away from abrasion and pinch points. Titan attachments has one i use.

    You made the money fast because of the machine just like you said and that's Why we put out all that money to get work done faster and so we can do work that we could not do otherwise. Different size hoses for different use. My grapple is the same way and its heavy duty.

    Look into a clamshell grapple. Its more suited to mini skids.

    Matey , you will do ok , stay focused and don’t put too much on credit , work and buy your attachments 1 at a time

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I've put quite a bit on credit. But I made sure to buy stuff that pays for itself. So far, it has been working out. I didn't finance things till after one year in business. I made sure my market could support it first

    Like the video! Very informative and good content! If that is a MTL grapple you have? I have a 60" MTL grapple and that thing is a beast and a work horse!! No problems after 3 years of extreme work and loads!! Keep the content coming!!

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you running a 60" on a mini skid? 😲
      The grapple has been great so far. It just feels cheap compared to a bobcat brand or something in that nature with the spikes on the roots, mine dosen't have them ):

      Its on my Kubota M6060 tractor. MTL I think they gauge their builds on the HP and machine. @@JackofHaulTrades

    My guy, you DON'T want big hoses on a grapple or else it's gonna FLY open and closed. You want small hoses so it will grab at a controlled speed. You don't want it snapping closed, snapping open.

    I was wondering why you didn't get a stump grinder attachment instead of buying that standalone unit?? Woulda saved a ton of cash

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. The stand alone doesn't get as much hydraulic flow to the head. Your visibility is not as great as with the standalone unit. It's more stable to the ground so you can do stumps on big hills. There are many more benefits, plus I can rent it on it's own it's way easier and safer for a homeowner to use compared to a skidsteer

      No, I did not. I bought them and learned with them! They are very easy to learn how to operate!

  • @Mack.of.all.trades

    That’s bad ass! I was looking into the Chinese mini skids. Seems was cheaper and way more common parts. Not to mention 1/4 the cost.
    I’d recommend having extra parts on hand always. The inventory well beats the down time

    • @JackofHaulTrades
      @JackofHaulTrades  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Be careful with those man. They are very light, and you can push them over with your hands. If where you live, most of the ground is flat you should be okay with a Chinese one. I wouldn't get one in GA. Yes, I need to start building an inventory! And I need to start with grapple hydraulic hoses they have more wear than usual already 🙄
