Didn’t ever like pepper spray or see the need for it until I started working part time security and then I realized how much of a problem solver it is. As both a recipient(recertification training) & an administer(bars) I would recommend Red Sabers Gel OC. Cheers

*ALWAYS* _always_ always carry a non-lethal option. I've used my spray far more times than any other tool I carry.
My pistol has only left the holster twice since I've been concealed carrying starting at the early age of 21. Both times were drawn at a low ready and thankfully I never had to actually point it at an assailant. It was deterrent enough to cause them to reevaluate their motives.
I've even used the strobe feature on my EDC light once. Most people cannot think of a scenario where strobe or a light for self defense would be necessary. Let me just say that when someone is coming at you with intent to cause bodily harm and because you already had your hand in your pocket to grab your keys; you grab your light instead. Then immediately trigger the strobe feature right into the face of your attacker and strike him with brutal indifference using the crenelated bezel. Stopped that combatant right in his tracks causing his "homies" to scatter like roaches.
Lastly, I recommend carrying a money clip instead of a wallet. Quick story from training years ago that my *instructor will never forget.
*Scenario: ATM Robbery.* Attacker approaches from behind demanding money. Retrieve money clip with non-dominant hand (usually your left hand since they'll likely be using their right hand) while slowing turning to face him/her. Keep talking while rotating and showing them the money clip all while staying out of grabbing range. ATM robbery means they need money so they're naturally focused on the cash. Keep talking and shaking the cash around to keep their attention on it and not your actions, then immediately throw it to the outside perimeter of their weapon hand (usually their 3 o'clock position). 99% of the time, their eyes will follow the money and take their attention off of you for a split second. Now is when you strike utilizing the three principles of CQB. Surprise - Violence of Action - Speed. How you chose to commence your attack is entirely your choice. My instructor will forever incorporate my reaction to the drill for the rest of his career. He had never seen a student think outside of the box like that in his 22 years of training (at that time). Train Hard - Train Smart & Be a free thinker.
Remember the ADD method my friends. ADD = Avoidance • Deterrence • De-escalation.
    "Pragmatic minds prevail." ~Bert Shackleford
Stay safe out there my friends.
    *EDITED for misspelling.

I came here for a "Yay for that" and I left disappointed. We need patches with firearm channel catch phrases.
    John Lovell: "Yay for that"
    IV8888: "And things like that"
MrGunsnGear: "Let the dogs look at it"
Reid Henrichs: Some kind of Emo Tombstone reference.
    Nutnfancy: 45 MINUTES!?!?
    Paul Harrell: Shatner-esque pause.
    Garand Thumb: Flannel
I'm sure there are others. I need to make these happen.

"And if I was wrong in my decision..." A problem too many people have, especially those of us who spent a bunch of time telling ourselves and being told we WERE the best, is the surety in their own decisions that it MUST be right. Acknowledging you might be wrong, and having alternatives in case you are wrong, is a very smart thing.

True story about the pepper spray, last year I got attacked by a group of teenagers, a group of four were surrounding me and the pepper spray dispersed them immidately and the rest that were on their way to "assist" turned around and thought better. I totally agree with carrying as a less than lethal option.

I was hoping you would whip out a pen, and was not disappointed!!! My lady bought me an anodized steel, refillable bolt-action pen, thing is a beast. It weighs, like, a pound or 2, which is absolutely insane for a pen!!! It has a sharp, pointed end that acts as a skull crusher... I mean window breaker. Oopsie poopsie! It even has The Punisher’s skull on it! Best part: you can pick one up from Amazon for like $30. This pen was my absolute favorite Christmas present, which is weird to me, but I absolutely love it, and believe that any of you guys will too :).

Glad you like the Agis holster as well. The 1st gen model had some issues....but the 2nd gen they have now is amazing. It became my choice for daily carry with Glock 19 (and sometimes 17).
I went with the “combo deal”. Seemed like the best option considering they don’t offer the ability to buy the swappable light compatible section for the holster later.
It’s like having 2 kydex holsters in one, and I’ve never had a issue with any of the snaps coming loose. ( initially a concern of mine).
They’re heavy duty and require some force to both remove and snap into place.
PS. I swapped out the stock clips with the G-Code angled clips I had on another holster and it made the Agis even more comfortable than it already was. I sent Tier 1 a email recommendation asking them to consider incorporating angled clips into their design. Not sure if their’s be a issue with copyright if they did. G-Code clips are EXPENSIVE.

You should look into the phlster Flex. It lets you carry a magazine in the sidecar position you like but allows you to adjust the height and angle of the magazine, as well as being very flexible. It also allows you to organize your gear along the center line and have it ready to go.

    Lol. 1 "Glock". Pssh.
If you're gonna go, go hard:
Edc = hi-point. I make up for the lack of capacity by keeping a mag in each pocket and two on my belt. As a back up I keep a Taurus judge on my left ankle with a bandolier strap of 410 cut shells around my right calf. I have a double shoulder holster for my Lorcins. I call them "The Twins".
"If I reach for the twins you're gonna have double the trouble," I imagine myself saying in the tense moments before a firefight. But I conceal these weapons with a 3xL Goodwill hoodie with a mustard stain, center chest, so I don't get pinpointed for muggings.
    "Greyman" principle, y'know?

Thomas, my best friend, who joined the Marines with me, was attached to a Marine riverine unit, He said the same thing about y'all! They always felt safe when the brown water boats came to get them, often in the middle of a fire fight! He said those boats were bristling with armament and there was a sailor or two manning each gun, when they came for the Marines! Semper Fi and thanks, Thomas! TreeTop

TreeTop1947: I served aboard one of the little pbr's, Gunner's mate 3rd.Class, that accompanied them sometimes and even picked up and inserted some from time to time. It was an honor and a privilege to have served with men like that. In what is probably one of the worst human activities, war, I think I saw the worst of what man is capable of, but in stark contrast also saw some of the best and most unbelievable acts of bravery and love that a human being could show toward another one also. You can't describe it to anyone and I find most too impatient or otherwise adverse to hearing any stories a long time ago, also about my time on the police department, so I just tell them they would be bored to death.

John as ASP (Attitude, Skills, Plan) talks about and recommends Pepper Spray all the time. He uses the adage (borrowed from another, I believe), "for use between a harsh word and a gun." Also, can be used for aggressive dogs and like John above said, you won't go to jail for it.

    Shoout out to Suunto :D
Their bands do tend to break down fast in some aggressive climates, always buy a bunch of spares when getting the watch; it saves a lot of hassles. But the display is really cool, the altitude/pressure measurements and compass are really neat, and the overall all-black appearance is really discreet and low-key. I do recommend it. (The batteries also drain a lot faster than in a regular plain quartz watch, will typically last 6 months or so, so always buy a bunch at a time.)

I love animals and I'd rather discomfort some dogs for long enough to get away than try to stab my way out if they're persistent. Wish I would have had some when I was in Romania
