Because pajamas and really tasteless too small tights are cheaper than "real people" clothes. And because NO ONE WILL EVER NOTICE we are not able to dress ourselves.
The Army started enforcing dress codes back around 2011 for family members and not just service members. People were wearing their pajamas to the commissary and PX, until someone someone put their foot down and said enough is enough. 👍
Sam Walton was in the Army. In fact, he oversaw WW2 Internment Camps (Japanese, German, & I talian) folks whose loyalty was to the u.s.A...no mattter. Their personal wealth (some owned businesses) was stolen...to the tune of $100's of millions. I think the alphabet agencies have whitewashed it to be labeled as P.O.W. camps, now. "Be all that you can be", eh
The military use to enforce the dress code in the 70s and early 80s. The PX or NEX use to have a written list next to the door entrance. Some examples...No curlers, housecoats, slippers, Pj's, short shorts, Tank Tops, shirts that show the belly. There were a few more, can't remember all of them. Being a young wife of a sailor, I thought it was funny. I told my husband. Who on earth would go out in public dressed like that. We had pride In our appearance back then. I still dress nice leaving the house because I care what I look like

It's different in other states than here in Iowa I'm sure but either way I believe in staying as clean as possible. Even going as far as going into a restroom bat least to wash my face or private s and have cleansers to clean up afterwards. I'm a decent human being when it comes to cleanliness because I was raised right. So I hope y'all don't think all homeless people are that way. 😢
And please put clothes on that actually cover your body. The times I've been in Walmart, there are always a few morbidly obese girls/women with their guts and side fat falling out. I'm glad that Target is closer to me than Walmart. For food I go to Publix. They are more expensive, however I never see all the people that have given up on life like at Walmart.
I concur with this policy. When appearing in public, it is essential to dress appropriately. This does not imply wearing the same attire you wore to bed the previous night.
I don't see what the problem is going in PJ bottoms as long as they are covering your skin. It is the people that go in the store with their ass hanging out and stomachs hanging out that are gross. That is what they should enforce. Who cares about PJ bottoms.

Make sure u awkwardly ppl watch so intently on specific things u don't see it coming from the other direction so u not tensing up won't hurt as bad. Also make sure ur deep into ur phone while walking in between cats & to top it off, make sure to walk slower. As if ure not really in traffic

That’s because that just goes without saying. Duh. 🙄 They might break the dress code by not wearing their ugliest pajamas, but don’t insult them by saying they’d forget to reek of marijuana from 75 feet away!
That's like the young women who get on morning flights wuth their pajamas and slippers on. That is really poor taste. Everyone else takes the time to put their clothes on, or business attire. We used to even dress up nicely to fly. It was a privledge to fly, and passengers were treated better then also, by the airlines. It was a whole different time. "Doing as thou wilt"......always leads to lowering standards and getting worse and going downhill. It never goes the OTHER WAY, and gets "better".
I mean if you're okay with this and all business starts saying that you need to wear a tuxedo and an nice dress to shop, an eat out. It's really sad that America is supposed to be for freedom has no issues putting down rules to limit your freedom hey a lot of Americans were okay with a curfew .
No idea if this is true, but I’m disgusted by anyone who can’t show up showered, hair brushed and maintained, and in daytime clothes. Mama always said, “it doesn’t cost much for a bar of soap.” You can even find it at the dollar store. Let’s have a little more self-respect people!
Sad that some Americans have fallen so far that they have to be told to wash their hair, brush their teeth, and wear clothes instead of dirty sleepwear to the store.
Perhaps good grooming should be part of the school curriculum. Back in the 30s to 80s it made no difference whether u wet poor or rich. People cleaned themselves up and combed their hair the best they could before leaving the house.

People wear pyjama pants because they are comfortable. They aren't inappropriate or revealing so there's no reason to try to tell people what kind of pants they can wear. As long as they stay up and aren't transparent this is totally unwarranted. I wear pj pants all the time, so I take personal offence. Walmart is private property. It's not up to the customer to decide what is acceptable behavior. Every business in the USA has a right to refuse service to anyone. Once you step on private property, your opinion doesn't MATTER.
I used to work for Walmart. The outfits that people came in wearing. I had a set of parents come in with their 3 babies. All three were around 4, 2 and maybe 6months. They parents were dressed in weather appropriate clothing. And it was 39°F out side. Those babies were in flip flops, shorts/skirt and Tank tops and the infant was just in a onesie. I ended up spending my own money to get those kiddos proper clothing for the weather while the parents were detained by security and authorities were called. I also took them to the toy aisle and let them each pick 2 toys because their parents had brought in a bunch of their Christmas gifts to return and get cash back. It was so disgusting. Amazingly my store actually reimbursed me the money I paid on my next check. We also had this really heavy set woman come in, in the same outfit everyday. Regardless of weather and just by her appearance you could tell she was a lady if the night. She always wore a very revealing micro mini black dress, knee high winter boots and a throw. Her hair always looked freshly f*cked, make up smeared and she was RANK. When she bent over anyone unfortunate to be behind her would get a clear view of her lack of underwear. Once had a dude dressed in a micro mini dress and idk if he forgot or didn't know to tuck, wasn't wearing any underwear but we had to send our security to him and ask him to fix the visual of his lower head just past the dresses hem. He FREAKED tf OUT. Had an old lady that came in daily in a mini skirt squat with her legs spread and use her hand or papers even her Money to FAN her Beaver. Again she was RANK. We absolutely made her go through Self check out especially when she would use her money like that. Had a guy come in with a full on sleeper with the but flap flapping no boxers, tighty whiteys, briefs NOTHING. Security kept having to kick a guy out that would grab a bag of baby wipes and sneak into the room for Nursing Mothers, finally he was banned when they caught him jacking off with the baby wipes. And this all happened in 4/5 months I worked there. E.T.A. Had a couple come in with the dude wearing only boxers, a muzzle, dog collar and leash and a dog tail plug sticking out the back of his waist band, dig paw gloves. The girl he was with was dressed similarly but more Dominatrix. Listen I get EVERY ONE has their Kinks and Fetishes and as long as everyone consents cool. You do you Boo but keep it where it belongs! Pajamas are comfortable.
Because pajamas and really tasteless too small tights are cheaper than "real people" clothes. And because NO ONE WILL EVER NOTICE we are not able to dress ourselves.

Welfare cases, they can't afford real clothes
No shoes, no shirt, no service doesn't mean sleepwear either. Jeez.
I personally am disappointed in how people dress to go to any public place and don't even get me started on how awful they dress for work.
I still dress nice leaving the house because I care what I look like
No everyone cares how they look
That’s not Walmart that’s on a base
Now you can be a crossdresser in the Army.
I hate it when I go to Walmart, and they don't have what I need. That means I have to go home, take a shower, brush my teeth, get dressed, and go to Target.

That's the motto I try to live by everyday.
And to think you can get into trouble by dressing decent. 😂. Doing time for good tastes. 😂

Can you really blame them? Look at the state of everything.
Yes I blame them! people don't have to be pigs, and add to the chaos!!.. does this make it any better??
Wow, could be depression or something. No sympathy for other human beings and their struggles.
Perhaps good grooming should be part of the school curriculum. Back in the 30s to 80s it made no difference whether u wet poor or rich. People cleaned themselves up and combed their hair the best they could before leaving the house.
