Best Area to Stay in Manila:
In today’s video, we’ll take a tour around the west BGC neighborhood. Then we’ll tour two very nice apartments.
Forbeswood Heights is located in the west area of Bonifacio Global City, In, my opinion, this is the best neighborhood in Manila to stay in but the quality and convenience come with a higher cost.
One-bedroom apartments in Forbeswood Heights start as low as 25,000 pesos. A nicely furnished apartment will likely be between 30 and 35,000 pesos. 5-star quality apartments with a good view are above 40,000 Philippine pesos.
This area is also a very short walk to Bonifacio High Street area. Make sure to subscribe and click the bell so you will be notified about other great places to visit.
If you enjoyed this video, please give it a like.
For more tours and information about visiting and living in the Philippines, please subscribe and click the bell so you will be notified when the next video is up.

Thats great. I moved to the philippines but kept my american lifestyle. Its about 30%-50% cheaper than america over all. The best part is that my social life is incredible since I moved. There are friendly expats and friendly filipinos everywhere.

Bonifacio is nice, modern, functional and tidy. And what's more: The best international schools are all packed in Bonifacio. So, locationwise, Bonifacio is hard to beat. Still, the best place to stay in Manila are Forbes Park (North Forbes is the best), Dasmarinas and Urdaneta, all in neighboring Makati. They are absolutely top of the line gated communities, with nothing but detached houses, some of them being huge mansions in fact - and don't expect to pay less than 300.000 PHP per month. And that's a very conservative estimate.

Its indeed a great place to retire. The luxury of living in a condo is by far the best. No mowing of the lawn and you can hire a helper to clean or cook at your place and it's inexpensive. The only complaint I have is the electricity or Meralco(billing company) it's expensive.

Before that, I bought two adjacent units in Avida on a Pre-Selling price and at the same time they were doing some Promo/Sale. Needless to say I got a pretty good deal. In three months, the price doubled. Now it’s 3x times the price for what I paid for it. I also got one parking space. My only regret is that I should have bought 2 parking spaces instead of 1.

A bit sanitary and Eurocentric. None of the grit and real feel some might like. Great area though, very tidy and everything you want within reach. Poblacion area of Makati east of P Burgos through to the backside of Rockwell mall would be my pick. Nice planted terraced apartments with great food and bars around. Somewhere between Kalayaan and Makati High School east of P Burgos ideally. Even the east side of P Burgos below Kalayaan. Easy walk to either Rockwell or Greenbelt. It's more like old school euro style instead of that modern apartment manicured mall feel.

BGC is a nice area if you have your own car and parking space, but if you commute, not alot of choices of rides. if commuting. No train, bus service is the BGC shuttle which get full very easily. There are jeepneys, they also get full. No P2P buses. Using grab ang taxi becomes expensive during rush hours... if you’re lucky enough to get a ride.

55,000 pesos plus electric, internet, water will probably be extra 10-15K pesos so looking at 65-70K pesos which is about C$1850 - 2000 thats not much off than renting a one bedroom in Toronto C$2500. People who move to Asia from western world to retire are looking to save money not spend the same. Of course if ur really rich i guess u can live in comfort in BCG, but why here why not Singapore?
