I’m a Filipino and I don’t buy second hand phones in Philippine market. Because you don’t know the story of that phone many students,employees being killed by thieves just to get their phones, wallets and jewelry and thieves are selling that phones to sellers like them. So better buy fake clothes and shoes or fake phones brand new rather than buying legit second hand phones. But it’s better to buy in respected malls in the Philippines because the price are slight difference when it comes to tshirts and pants maybe 20$ you can have branded pants and shirts.

Search the word “Holdap” in google, holdaper will whisper you “this is holdap give me your phone” you think he is just one but he got backup looking nearby. And if you fight you gonna end worst.
I live in Vancouver Canada we have lots of Filipinos here . From what i understand it is Cheaper to buy I pads ,Phones, Computers in Canada plus you get warranties, My Filipino friends buy here in Vancouver to take them back to the Philippines and as NGStrix a lot of the street electronics are Knock offs or Stolen that i why they seem Cheaper ., My Pinoy friends say never but from the Street
Correct.. In addition, many of their products were smuggled and not taxed. It's sad because we want to help them in earning for their living but we might be nurturing the pockets of rich smugglers too. 🙁

@@celinechewables disagree. I am only part Filipina but born and raised in the U.S.. I understand bisaya (my grandfather's lineage) and am learning tagalog. I am mixed with Filipino, Pacific Islander, Thai and white. The first price that would be given to me was up to 3x higher than what would be given to my mother in law (yes. We shopped separately for this reason) . she could bargain anything down to nearly nothing. I would use her exact tactics but the lowest I could bargain down to was still larger than the first price offered to her. I had to take pictures of items i wanted and sent them to her. I would just pay her back when we got home.
I bargained in South Korea and in Thailand. But the Manila, Philippines was the only place where the "you are american so I assume you are rich - tax" was thrown at me. It is not a discount if my Filipina (born and raised in the Philippines) in law can get a discount that makes an item starting out at $10 down to $2 but for me that same item is marked up to $20 and "discounted" to $12.
She had more pocket money than i did to begin with because I paid for housing and the airline tickets.
I was told "looking rich" was part of it. I was told not to wear any distinguishable brand named items to the market or while out and about (to not become a target of robbery)

I was not unknowingly ripped off in Thailand because I was with my grandmother (born and raised in Thailand) and one of her sister's family. Thai markets didn't try to overcharge me even though i shopped separately, believing they would overcharge for me and anyone with me.
Same in South Korea. I also have a Mexican friend who lived in China for 2 months. She learned to bargain like the locals there, too. You could see it on this channel. There is a difference between Filipino’s service towards other Filipinos, and white foreigns. (: What do you call those people staring at this man in the video as he walks around the market, like they’ve seen a gold stone worth of millions. Please, don’t get me mistaken, we’ve all been there. We see them as money and their cocks.
Those vendors outside the malls are only commission basis. Sometimes they work hard for the whole day and very tired they came home with only 50 pesos on their hands or $1 for the whole day work. I’m so sad for them to know that 😢. That’s why when i visit Philippines sometimes I don’t do bargain. I gave them the extra change. They are so kind even they are poor 😢😭😭😭. Sometimes they can give there own food for free even they are starving 😢. God bless the philippines with such a wonderful people

I am guy from Philippines. I'm reading some of the comments and surprised how many westerners interprets the girls behavior as flirting. My friends act like this all the time. When I'm at work female office mate are like this too and I don't see it as flirting. It's just Filipinos tends to laugh easily or smile a lot. I travelled to many places. I can say that Filipinos are the kindest. They are also hard working. I would have given the lady the full price she asked for.
Phillippines might be a poor country, but the people there are the kind and caring. The customer service is just amazing. The country is beautiful, food is amazing especially Jollibee and Chicharon(fried pig skin). I would totally recommend people to go there.
