Same, I love them so much. Started with the Nocturne album years back after digging through music, been with them ever since. Laughing Gas EP, Indigo album...unbelievable masterpieces. We recently ate mushrooms and listened these albums, awesome experience.
It would have been awesome to be able to listen to the whole Indigo album played live in this setting. The five albums being commented about during the interview are the following: * Roxy Music - Avalon (1982) * Kate Bush - The Sensual World (1989) * Fleetwood Mac - Mirage (1982) * Prefab Sprout - Steve McQueen (1985) * The Blue Nile - A Walk Across the Rooftops (1984)
As someone who came of age in the '80s, I can confidently say he NAILED this list. Kudos to his babysitter or whoever turned him on to these gems. Also, super happy that I happened on Wild Nothing -- I look forward to hearing more from them for years to come.
You guys are smth else...many many thanks for KEXP having you guys altogether to share a wild nothing which means everything of love, joy, happiness , wellbeing , dancing, chill out...pads, guitars, voices, attidues ...yeap..common u guys..Carry on! Got the Chicago concert in my mind...many years ago! lol
@Moon Child damn from Bon Iver to Wild Nothing I see your comments. nice taste! I met Jack back in Blacksburg as teens and went to school with the guitarist, Nic Hessler here in CA. IF you're not already familiar check out his old band *Catwalk* you might enjoy! *Nic Hessler* - I Feel Again & *Catwalk* - (Please) Don't Break Me Cheers! :]
I remember when I saw them live 2 years ago, at the time I had only really listened to Gemini but they were in town and tickets were fairly cheap so I decided to go... best decision of my life lol they’re now one of my favorite bands and I can’t wait until I can see them live again, they’re just so damn good, I constantly have the live album on repeat
He really has gotten better singing live. He doesn't push his voice as hard. Now if only they'd play the steel pipes during Chinatown because they're a huge part of the song
Met Jack after a gig in Liverpool, seeing them in Manchester next month. Incredible back catalogue, Nocturne is one of my favourites of all time, if not my absolute favourite!
Prefab Sprout- All Around The World! The Blue Nile! I got Walk Across The Rooftops, when it came out. Great stuff! I just got into Wild Nothing... amazing work!
Man I know mexicos got some secret indie theme going on over there since the great rock n roll act through the 60s and 70s and 80s is still moving in some cases there and a majority further down our other Latin friends
спасибо! это самый выдающийся альбом последних двух лет. а прослушал я не мало, уж поверьте. но это звучит просто невероятно! какой-то новый уровень музыки. поздравляю!
l need to get some of their stuff, nice feeling to this music. keep on doing what ya'll doing! had to edit and say this is glorious, oh my. Hey late night talk show, get them on , no scrap that, can we get them on SNL!
As ironic as it might sound: I discover these lads from Men I Trust. Actually, MIT were opening for WN in their latest tour, but I actually had a great discovery since I like Men I Trust for a while now. So yeah, I discovered a band from whom should be discovered by this band xD
One bright day Spotify recommended me Wild Nothing and my life changed forever..
me too!! Spotify gave me "Shallow Water", leading me to this awesome band❤
Of what album? Nocturne?
Me too bro! My life changed since I heard the Indigo album 💙

@@LSUmisfit I'll try those shrooms if I'm able to leave Asia haha.
Wild Nothing has been a pillow for me through many tough loves and life experiences. I must say, this band is one of my best friends.
I agree... just having other people hear you listen to it changes their perspective.
Never is too late, thank God I find this

Perfect! I couldn't make out "Prefab Sprout" :D
I had to fast forward straight to Partners in Motion. That song is on another level.
Aah this synth is so great. And playing bass guitar in this band must be the best job on this planet

Im ready
I loved his references. I was pleased to hear about Prefab Sprout, which I also consider very underestimated
I'm not worth as a judge, but i find that Jack has improved really a lot in years, now he sings perfectly.
He really has gotten better singing live. He doesn't push his voice as hard. Now if only they'd play the steel pipes during Chinatown because they're a huge part of the song
He’s gotten more confident not trying to make his voice airy but he’s still not the best live singer.
They sound better live, I've seen them live yesterday so amazinggggg
they’re just plain beautiful.
Met Jack after a gig in Liverpool, seeing them in Manchester next month. Incredible back catalogue, Nocturne is one of my favourites of all time, if not my absolute favourite!
Wow, a sax - that is a total 80 vibe that I haven't heard for a while. Yet they keep their music new and relevant nice show. thanks.
Mi favorita es Partners In Motion.
It seems like no matter what drummer Wild Nothing currently has they are always in the pocket, I love it.
Prefab Sprout- All Around The World! The Blue Nile! I got Walk Across The Rooftops, when it came out. Great stuff! I just got into Wild Nothing... amazing work!
Amo Wild Nothing, Gracias infinitas KEXP

Dios, espere tanto por esto. Por favor que vengan a Argentina, la música de este tipo esta en otro level.
Never ceases to amaze me.
Wheel of Misfortune 💗💗
ahhhh so good!! wild nothing is one of the best bands of the 2000s.
Wow. What a tremendous performance. Great job, WN. That sax in the last song took me back to the summer of '83.
Never too late our favorite phrase ❤😘
Started with the best song in the album ♡
Que buena banda por la chucha

Flawed translation 👌🏾🥰
I'm just sad that he didn't play 'Oscillation'.
Oh man! That was excellent... and entirely too short!
He waited for me to say it like a true prince

The first time I’ve seen that Senheiser used as a live vocal mic
pretty sure it's "Sennheiser" - 2 "n"'s! - mic nerd! (good spot! Ha!)
That bass player is a ride or die.
Estaba esperando que subieran esta presentación!
That sax is on point
Melhor banda
Just looked them up randomly again and you posted this! THANK YOU!!😫🤤
I been waiting for this forever ❤️

*love Wild Nothing too!
This moment is fucking dope 16:34
Yoooo I'm hype
God damn, I Iove this band so fucking much.
Esse saxofone da Partners In Motion ficou muito melhor ao vivo, a versão de estúdio o som dele ficou limitado
simpô, surreal o impacto que ele dá na versão de live + puta dinâmica pra show em sí
Muito bom!
The best Band of the wolrd
so cool
