Depends on the crew he travels in. In the US just being in politics or holly wood creates a high probability of being a veteran of dining on Long Pork (that the Brits have a term for it is disturbing, but having butcher shops selling it into the late 1800s is more disturbing to me, Idk about you) the other other white meat. We taste like pork according to reports I read about Indonesian cannibals dining on a Caucasian Missionary... they said he tasted great. Think of it this way: men of Platoon's type do weird shite, e.g., they wear special non-skid sneakers not to slip on the ejaculate shot all over the place when they come together (sic) in a group and participate in a circle jerk. Who tf does stuff like that? Or how about Seth Rogen saying on a movie interview for _Knocked Up_ that "the smell of feces reminds him of foreplay..." Idk about you, but I don't get that reaction... nor I think virtually all straight ppl.
How did Kimmel miss the easiest joke? All he had to do was walk out onto stage with headgear, clarify that WIll Smith wasn't at the ceremony, and then take it off and continue.
I am a fairly hard core Dune fan. I've read the books multiple times and watched the TV show and Lynch Film multiple times. These 2021-2024 films are *GREAT attempts.* I thought that the core ideas of the books are preserved. A few changes here and there are needed to abridge the film, like LP says. I still think that the TV show is the better adaptation despite its budgetary limitations becuase of the character work that is present.
It's a political intrigue story without the political intrigue. That's why Villeneuve's movies are lacking. Largely because intrigue requires indirect dialogue and he hates that sort of thing.
I’m sort of surprised the panel didn’t address Cord Jefferson’s speech. I wish I had been able to do more than just listen when this originally aired, I would have SuperChatted.
At Lincoln University (agricultural University in NZ) we tested home killed (less stressed beef) vs beef that had gone through the normal abattoir process The pressure needed to cut through the home killed beef was less than the pressure needed to cut through the abattoir beef So the more stressed the cow is the tougher the meat becomes
Regarding Dune's technical brilliance. Have any of you seen the use of infra red used in this kind of movie before? I have not. I think is was the coolest thing I have seen since I watched Star Wars back in 1977.
I'm hoping Mr. Brown is recording in his Guest Room, cause that's a single bed, with no art on the walls, making my current living arrangement superior, and I'm fk'd to the point I'm walking dead. It is liberating, btw, but I don't suggest it to anyone... To be truly free from your tyrannical gov't because you have nothing left for them to take... Either way, everyone needs to chip in and get Mr. Brown a Green Screen, honestly. He deserves better, imo. At least the appearance of a better life...
Rob Zombie’s Halloween II is pretty great in my opinion, House Of 1000 Corpses is solid and The Devil’s Rejects is just excellent and, oddly for a movie like that, fun🍻
I tuned in because I was curious if the holly wood cannibalism was gonna be exposed... I doubt it, but now I have to listen to see... Platoon's current love interest played a cannibal in a recent movie of his... Chalamaladingdong... no acting required. Chalamet got a standing ovation for his portrayal of said cannibal by the Cannes Film Festival cannibal attendees. Not really hiding it much anymore are they?
@@true02ballerI don't think I can even mention what exact symbol was being censored, but on a completely unrelated note, maybe check out some of the character designs for Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, specifically part 2 :P
Dune 2 was a very imposing movie, but it definitely lacks from explanations amd plot points that exist in the book. Then there is the one thing I always hate in movies. "We need to time an attack because just shooting won't work!" So Paul goes and distracts the ornithopter because the shields go down when they shoot. He runs around, the craft shoots, he ducks behind cover, looks at Chani, and we move to viewing the ornithopter. AND WE SEE THE EXPLOSIVE ON THE SHIELD SLOWLY MOVING THROUGH!!! Either say it needs to hold still so Chani can get a decent shot, or have the shields actually be down. But as is, it is just stupid. Also the way they steer the worms should have been kept out. If a 70kg teen boy can move the skin flap and irritate the forward pointing small intakes with passing sand (which is what I took from it), then what about all the other flaps on the edges and the bottom that get to deal with a 100 tonnes of worm hitting the sand? Surely that opens op the flaps as well?
I think Jaffe is alright, and entertaining in his podcast w Last Stand Media. But when people thank God, they’re not talking about God specifically favoring them over the other actress. I think it’s more of a general way to express gratitude for your current situation given the trials to get there. And I’m sure she credits her faith for getting her through some shit. Caveat here is I don’t understand faith.. But a few of people think it’s pretty cool I guess
I think he knows that, it’s probably more of a logistics issue, like maybe the other person was also just as faithful and believes in God but you thank God because you were a little more chosen, something like that lol
I don't really understand the hype for Dune. I watched the first part and barely remember anything about it. I heard someone say that it is a well made movie but doesn't really makes us feel anything. It's a good description of Dune, the movie was boring for me cause I didn't care about the characters at all.
The first was BORING, but the second was cool, it’s good, a little too paint by the numbers Bob Ross, They could have done more to convince me of the rush at the end of the movie though.
Platoon being so knowledgeable about cannibalism, in that accent is giving me Hannibal lecter vibes😂
Which Hannibal, Cox, Hopkins, or Mikkelsen?

Intro into the gang in mid conversation about cannibalism, is why this is the best show in the universe... Probably
The name makes sense finally
Was that about Haiti?

Oh that's good. It's not even edgy
They want people to forget that happened.
What are the odds that Kimmel is a fellow Scientologist?
What are the odds that Kimmel is a fellow Scientologist?
Seems more like a Ricky joke.
If the next episode starts on best cooking methods and disposal of evidence, I'm getting concerned.
What a great panel of hosts, and also DarkHour and Movie Cynic, and also also Andrew and Brown.
ofc Little Platoon is fascinated by Hannibal Lecter, read the books and tried to figure it out. Probably tried to build a Memory Palace, too.
I'm curious as to how cannibalism comes up when you're talking about the Oscars and Dune 2.
Thanks for answering my Superchat.
Because the industry is consuming itself.
@@slaaptSadly. No good reason for it.

I always assumed the pig aversion was because of the Trichinosis from undercooked pork
David Niven was presenting on stage at the Oscar’s when the streaker made his appearance
I love that every week, Vex's profile picture gets increasingly more edgy.
I’m sort of surprised the panel didn’t address Cord Jefferson’s speech. I wish I had been able to do more than just listen when this originally aired, I would have SuperChatted.
I would've also sent a Super Chat, possibly about Toriyama.
On March 15, when I first watched this video, I dozed off after 10 minutes, tbh.
I'm unsure if they mentioned Toriyama's passing or not.

I really love this stream. Good mix of folks. Except Andrew.
Regarding stressed animals. Platoon got it right, the meat gets an acidic "wang" to it.

I could see Guermo Del Toro doing, "God Emperor of Dune,"
Fun show as always.

I really like the idea of the 3 movie Dune idea, I think that was necessary, the final 30-40 mins felt absolutely ham fisted and felt anticlimactic.
Ah, so the original vod was taken down to censor Vex's breasts.
I would have been more surprised if it didn't cause an issue :P
